Give me a break with you people and Reservoir Dogs—honestly, just leave Tarantino alone! Why can't we get back to making epic movies like Braveheart? It’s like people would rather dwell on trashy, divisive propaganda than appreciate true cinema. If this gets me banned, then so be it—my brain is clearly operating on a much higher level than yours anyway.

Jerry Martin19 said:True, true. There are definitely good and bad elements in films that almost everyone notices. But I still maintain that criticism (though I personally think it shouldn't even exist) should focus strictly on the technical side of filmmaking rather than "the other stuff," which is often just as important, if not more... If we're going to follow the majority voice as some mass that's easily swayed or misled, I wouldn't put much faith in them... Take 300 for example; in my book, it's one of the worst movies of the year, yet it sits at an 8.1/10 on IMDb with over 132,000 votes according to their metrics...

p.s. why would anyone crucify you for reading critic reviews (that's what they actually are, by the way)? Man, just do whatever you want...

Honestly, I actually thought 300 was one of the best films I've seen all year, regardless of what those IMDb ratings say (which often lack any actual common sense). I liked it mostly because of how original the adaptation felt and how well it captured that graphic novel vibe. Action isn't really my thing anyway, so I don't care much for that genre.

Nobody actually said Braveheart was a bad movie; we’re just pointing out it doesn't hold a candle to
The Usual Suspects or Se7en. Sure, Forrest Gump is a solid film, but it sits two tiers below
Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction. Just look at the IMDb rankings if you need proof:

2. Shawshank Redemption (1994)
5. Pulp Fiction (1994)
70. Forrest Gump (1994)

19. The Usual Suspects (1995)
38. Se7en (1995)
98. Braveheart (1995)

63. Reservoir Dogs (1997)
129. Unforgiven (1992)

Claiming Braveheart is better than Se7en is practically a psychiatric red flag.
That's if they even realize half the stuff in Braveheart isn't even historically accurate.

In my opinion, Amadeus is the absolute worst movie ever to win an Oscar..👎 ..it was a complete disaster of a film..

Hey hollowsailor19, shove those lists and that attitude where the sun don't shine. The Oscar is just a gold-plated piece of junk anyway, so it doesn't matter who wins it...

p.s. Reservoir Dogs came out in '92

I'm right there with you. In my book, Braveheart is hands down the best movie ever made.👍

As for movies that snagged an Oscar they didn't deserve? For me, it's definitely Erin Brockovich. Little Julia was way more powerful in Magnolia...😎

Give me one good reason why Braveheart is actually bad—because if it is, it’s still better than Reservoir Dogs, and honestly, Mel Gibson would take Tarantino down in a fight any day.

Gibson might as well just lose an ear. 🤣

Then you give me a reason why Dogs is trash.☕

They aren't trash, they just feel like every other Michael Madsen flick. Video stores used to be overflowing with those quirky, crime-heavy, psycho-babble movies. Tarantino probably raided those shelves for inspiration when he sat down to write his scripts.
