And how deep did you push it? Did you manage to get it to settle in?

Yeah, it’s a bit awkward since you're a virgin. Try sliding the next one in while you're sitting on the toilet; honestly, that’s usually the easiest way for me to get a tampon to glide in. Just push it as far as it goes, but if you feel pain or hit a wall, don't force it. Usually, they aren't that hard to get in, especially with an applicator, but damn, it can be different for girls who aren't virgins. In your case, you might actually end up breaking through the hymen yourself.

I couldn't even push it in deep, just got it to the very entrance,
barely enough to keep it from slipping right back out

🙄

It’s not like I’m gonna break my hymen with a capsule, right?
And honestly, I couldn't even get things moving with my boyfriend earlier 😲

Anyway, why on earth can't you just take these capsules orally?
This whole thing is such a massive pain in the neck... 🤷

What kind of vaginal creams did you even get? They give them to you for local application because they work better and faster that way.

I mean, you could puncture it with a tampon, or a finger... you'd just feel it if you actually broke through.

They call them macmirors

But honestly, my bigger issue is that my period is already 9 days late

Better late than never, right? 🙂

I Googled what those vaginal suppositories are actually for—assuming you're dealing with a yeast infection. Try pushing them in as far as they'll go. Also, cut out the sweets immediately because yeast absolutely thrives on sugar. You should probably try taking some probiotics or grabbing yogurt with live cultures. Here’s a tip from a doctor friend whose daughter had a yeast infection but couldn't use the suppositories because she was a virgin: get a basin, fill it with water, stir in a cup of yogurt, and just sit in it for about 15-20 minutes. 🙂

Thanks so much, you're seriously an angel 😍😍

I'll try drinking some yogurt,
but honestly, if I actually sat in it, I'm terrified I'd never be able to wash that smell away...😁

Thanks for all the advice,
really hoping my period shows up soon 🙂

It doesn't smell that bad, honestly. 😁

And if you’re using those scented pads or whatever—just toss them. They're basically an open invitation for pH imbalances and letting all sorts of nasty bugs breed. Just grab a low-pH intimate wash instead. For me, the Jessa one or the stuff from DM works great, and it won't break the bank.

Maybe your period is coming? Or maybe you're just ovulating?

So, I had sex two days ago... and then by the second day, my private area started itching like crazy and turned all red.
Can Becutan cream or some kind of powder help with this? And what could even be causing it? I’m positive it’s not some kind of disease because I’ve been with this person plenty of times before and nothing ever happened.

What does it matter if you've had partners before? 😕 People catch STDs from long-term partners they've been with hundreds of times.

Got some kind of discharge? It might be yeast, and no amount of Becutan cream or powders is going to fix that. You should go see a gynecologist.

Should I be worried about this bloody spotting that lasted a few days right before my period started?
Okay, I get that it’s usually just a sign that my period is on its way—but this is actually the first time something like this has happened to me...

Hey everyone, so here’s the deal... I had sex about two weeks ago, and ever since then, I’ve been dealing with this constant brownish discharge. Like, it shows up on my underwear as brown, but otherwise, it looks sort of light pink. I haven't gotten my period yet—I was actually expecting it, but honestly, mine is usually pretty late anyway, so I'm not really sweating that part... but this discharge that’s been hanging around for two weeks straight? That’s definitely got me worried. What do you guys think is going on? 😕
I already know the drill—you're all gonna tell me to go see a gynecologist, but let's be real, the waitlist at the clinic is insane and I wouldn't get an appointment for maybe two or three months. And as for seeing someone privately, I'm definitely not exactly swimming in cash right now, so any other advice or insight would be seriously appreciated!!

Hey ladies! Lately, I’ve been dealing with this yellowish, pale yellow discharge that has a really unpleasant smell—plus there’s this constant discomfort and burning sensation. Sex is basically off the table right now because even just being touched hurts. My gynecologist says everything looks fine and claims it’s just inflammation, but I’ve been feeling this way for two months already. 😢 I’m currently on birth control (Lyndinette 20). Has anyone else dealt with something similar, or does anyone have advice on what my next move should be? 😢

So, your doctor didn't prescribe anything at all? You likely have some sort of bacterial infection, which usually requires specific vaginal suppositories or antibiotics depending on what the actual cause is.

No :/ And that’s exactly where the problem lies. She told me she doesn't see anything wrong there. I really doubt it's Candida—I've dealt with that before and had to take so many antifungals just to get rid of it. Being a vegetarian makes things tricky, too; it's hard to stick to a diet with zero carbs and no fruit (wtf :S). I truly don't think it's Candida because I've already used Rojazol, Canesten 2x, Plimycol, and some incredibly expensive suppositories from $56—I nearly fainted right there in the pharmacy aisle. Honestly, I think I've overdone it with all those treatments xD Now my period is coming, so I doubt I'll go back to the gynecologist anytime soon. I'll book an appointment once this is over :/ I'm feeling pretty desperate, honestly.

If there's a noticeable odor, then we aren't looking at Candida; it’s likely a bacterial issue. On what basis did she conclude that everything looked fine? Did she actually perform a Pap smear or run additional cultures? Having discharge accompanied by burning and pain is definitely not a normal state to be in. You really ought to have those tests done so the doctor can prescribe specific vaginal treatments or antibiotics based on the actual cause. Everything you've been using seems targeted toward Candida, but they won't do much against bacteria.

She took a swab and claimed she didn't see anything—as if. She looked under the microscope right then and there. So, I guess I'm just making all this up :/

If you’ve been using some kind of antifungal lately, the results might be totally skewed. Also, I’m assuming you just smeared it on the glass slides? That only shows the Candida; it won't tell you if there's a bacterial infection hiding there.

You really need to get a proper culture done. I mean a real one—where they take a swab, put it on a medium, and wait days to see what actually grows and which meds it responds to. If you're dealing with a bacterial infection, all those heavy-duty vaginal washes you've been using are a waste of time. You’ll need an antibiotic.
