Just to jump in here.... It's just completely gone now, she vanished, but my marker levels are so incredibly high.... does that mean I have cancer or what?

During my ultrasound today, my gynecologist mentioned that I should be approaching ovulation soon. This caught me off guard because, based on my own tracking—my cycles are usually quite regular, running between 29 and 31 days—I was actually expecting my period to arrive sometime this weekend.
Is it possible she misread something, or could there be another explanation for this discrepancy?
Looking over my report now, it says: the uterus is in AVF position, normal in size and texture. The endometrium is hyperechoic, measuring 11.7 mm. Both ovaries appear normal in size and texture, though there is an anechoic lesion on the left ovary measuring 27*21 mm (perhaps a follicle?). There is no free fluid in Douglas's pouch.

She also made a passing comment that it might actually be a cyst.
Since I don't have any prior experience dealing with cysts, I’m feeling a bit uncertain. Could this indeed be a cyst, and if so, what does that typically imply?

Hi.

I’ve got a question, if anyone here knows or has dealt with this before.

Regarding pure corpus luteum—is there some kind of supplement, tea, or whatever else that might help or speed up the rupture of a cyst like that?
thanks

Hi everyone!
So, this is my very first post, and honestly, it’s the main reason I decided to join the forum in the first place...
I felt like joining because I think this specific thread might be the best place to describe what I’ve been going through lately...
To give you some background, I’m a brand-new mom, having given birth just over ten months ago...
It wasn't an easy delivery at all; it ended in an emergency C-section, and then three weeks later, I actually had to go back into surgery due to sepsis...
Ever since then, it feels like my health has just been on a downward spiral. I breastfed for about four months, and once I stopped, my period finally returned...
Before I had my baby, I never really noticed ovulation, nor did I ever have any significant pain before my period, but now, my cycles are incredibly painful—usually, I’d need about $10 worth of Advil just to keep the cramps under control...
Now, I feel every single ovulation, and the abdominal pain during that time is just awful, though I suppose I could almost deal with that if the pain didn't persist from after ovulation all the way until my period starts... which is strange, because the actual menstruation itself isn't painful...
I went in for a gynecological exam about five months ago, and the doctor mentioned that the pain I feel after ovulation is likely due to a cyst related to the corpus luteum. Please don't hold me strictly to his words, but he suggested it's essentially a functional cyst that grows quite large and causes pain, but typically ruptures right at the start of the period...
Right now, I’ve been drinking various teas and a tincture I ordered from a herbalist, and I have my next gynecological appointment scheduled in nine days. My period should arrive in about ten days, and naturally, my right ovary—where the ovulation occurred—is hurting quite a bit...

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Did you manage to get it sorted out, and if so, how did you do it? Also, do you have any advice on what specific questions I should ask my doctor regarding further testing or anything like that?...🙂

Hey there! You definitely need to dig deeper with more testing to figure out what’s actually driving those numbers up. For some people, it might just be their baseline. It's kind of like how some folks just always run a bit of a fever. A friend of mine had elevated markers too, and they fluctuate all the time, but she went through every single scan and test you can imagine and they couldn't find a thing.

I'm curious to know if any of you have managed to get rid of a cyst without surgery, and if so, what approach actually worked for you?

I've been dealing with this cyst for five years now. During that time, I've been on birth control thinking it would clear things up, and most recently, I finished two courses of Duphaston, but clearly, that didn't do the trick... I'm not experiencing any pain, but my gynecologist is pushing for surgery—which is something I’d really love to avoid if there's any other way.

I see people mentioning castor oil packs, herbal teas, and various drops... What have your actual experiences been like with those?

Hi, I’m dealing with painful ovaries, ovarian cysts, and painful ovulations. I’m only 18, so I’m looking for some perspective on who I should actually talk to for real advice on how to handle this. My gynecologist keeps telling me that this is perfectly normal at my age and that everything will just settle down once I have children... 😕 The pain during my period is anything but normal—it’s debilitating, to the point where I can’t even get out of bed. On top of that, my cycles tend to drag on for seven, eight, or even nine days. I’d really appreciate your thoughts on this...

Thanks ... 😉

I have a question for anyone who might have dealt with something similar to my situation. Please reach out if you have experienced this.
Basically, I have a clear cyst on my left ovary measuring 7cm (it isn't fluid-filled).
Historically, I’ve dealt with intense pain, and my periods have always been incredibly heavy—though that's been the case since my very first one due to genetics on my mother's side. They are usually quite regular, too.
Last month, my period arrived right on schedule, but it wasn't heavy at all... it was actually normal for the first time.
However, ten days before this month's cycle was supposed to start, I noticed some bloody mucus and my urine appeared a light shade of red. I didn't think much of it initially because nothing showed up on my pad, but after two days, there was some spotting on the pad that lasted for about forty-eight hours. Since then, nothing on the pad, but today marks the eighth day where my urine looks slightly red (though not every single time) and I'm seeing bloody mucus in my urine... yet, strangely, I'm not in any pain.
I already took a pregnancy test, and it was negative.
Please, I need some help here...
My appointment isn't scheduled for another two weeks.
p.s. My CA 125 markers are 16.19.
So, that seems fine.

I'm wondering if anyone here has had a traditional surgery to remove an ovarian dermoid cyst.
How long was the recovery period? When can you realistically get back to work or start exercising again?
What does the incision look like and where is it located?

A hundred questions...

I haven't actually had surgery for a dermoid—it was more of a paraovarian cyst—but the incision was pretty standard, so maybe that offers some perspective if it helps at all... I managed to head back to work after about two months. The mass was roughly 10 cm, and they did a bikini cut. I ended up staying in the hospital for about 10 days.

I just had a laparoscopic procedure to remove a dermoid cyst from my right ovary. For the first few days, everything felt just... off. Those incisions were really bothering me—they felt tight and uncomfortable, if that makes sense. But then, after about six or seven days, I started feeling these sharp pains in my ovaries, almost exactly like the sensation I get during ovulation. Is it actually possible for the cycle to get a little thrown out of whack because of the surgery? Has anyone else gone through this?

That long? Is your job desk-bound or more active?
I really can't afford that much time off work😲

I work as a nurse, specifically dealing with patients who are immobile. Even back when I first started out, I used to get these sharp, stinging pains—it would really flare up whenever I had to exert myself a bit more.

Hi! Back in October, I saw my gynecologist who found some cysts on my ovaries. When I asked what the next steps for treatment were, he just said they’d pass on their own. He claimed they were caused by stress and would just go away, which left me feeling pretty confused. This month, my period was late—usually, my cycle is between 30 and 34 days, but this time it hit day 42. Interestingly, the month before that exam, when the cysts were first discovered, my period was also late at day 40. Now that my period has finally arrived, my ovaries feel more sensitive than usual. I was wondering if any of you experienced delayed periods because of cysts? What were your periods like during that time? Are these cysts dangerous? Can they really just disappear without any medical intervention? Once my period finishes, I'm planning to see a private specialist because I'm not sure I can trust my current doctor. I tend to panic easily, and this whole situation has been really unsettling. To make matters worse, my doctor didn't even tell me what kind of cysts they were unless I specifically asked if everything was okay; I honestly wonder if he would have even mentioned them at all. Thanks girls 🙂

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to navigate life when dealing with irregular periods and the resulting cysts? I'm looking for advice on how to manage this... specifically, what would you recommend regarding diet, herbal teas, or any other lifestyle changes that might help resolve these issues?
Hi! Thanks in advance!

They usually just happen because of stress, honestly.

Hi! Thanks in advance!

And has anyone actually figured out what causes irregular cycles? Like, with PCOS, you get irregular periods and those ovarian cysts.

You should probably start with a hormone panel.

My cycles actually started acting up right after I stopped taking birth control... they were perfectly regular before I was on it.
