a gynecologist

it might just be a yeast infection, so you could pick up some cream and vaginal suppositories
maybe get some swabs done too,
if I remember right, my urine came back clean but the swabs showed E. coli😉
you can get all that checked out at Ginić's office

and at home, you could try rinsing the area with chamomile tea

Does anyone happen to know what this all means? Before my last ultrasound, they noted this: the right ovary is somewhat enlarged at 4.9 cm, featuring a larger follicle measuring 1.9 cm. The left ovary is also larger, measuring about 4 x 3.7 cm—it shows some round lesions, one of which looks like a corpus luteum cyst with a reticular pattern measuring 1.9 cm, while the second round lesion is hyperechoic at 2.1 cm. There’s no free fluid in Douglas's pouch. Based on the results from my previous scan, I have to wait until the 18th—they also found some pelvic organ prolapse. Honestly, I'm just worried about what's going on with my ovaries. It says: follow-up is recommended via CA 125 blood test and a TVS ultrasound in three months. If anyone knows anything about this, especially regarding that hyperechoic lesion, I'd really appreciate it.

The chat died down.
I can't seem to find a specific thread to jump into, so I'll just throw this out here.
A few months back, I went to see Ginić because my period was running late, and they found a clear cyst on my right ovary, about 2.5 cm. They didn't give me any specifics on what kind it was.
Since then, I've had a really light, scanty period, and now things are lagging again.
I’m planning on trying to conceive soon, and I'm stuck wondering how much this cyst actually interferes with everything. Does ovulation just carry on as usual regardless, or does a cyst like this act as a roadblock? Has anyone else dealt with something similar?

In my case, I've got a bunch of cysts on both ovaries, but I still ovulate. Guess it just varies from person to person. Even though my doctor told me I probably wasn't ovulating, I mentioned that I track my basal temperature and cervical mucus—once I said that, she suddenly told me there was nothing to worry about.
Right now I'm taking Vitex and hoping things look better by my next ultrasound.
Besides, if it's just one ovary with a cyst, the other one should be working fine—so I don't see it being an obstacle to getting pregnant. Actually, I'm planning to conceive too, and I'm not stressing it... especially since your situation sounds way more intense than mine.🙂

I don't know, I've stopped tracking my basal ovulation or even bothering with the test strips lately.
So, how exactly does your period work? Is mine running late too? It’s never been like this before.
I know the second egg is free. Honestly, I’m feeling a little skeptical about that.
I used to think everything was so straightforward—like knowing ovulation always happens exactly fourteen days after conception, just like following a textbook rule. Now, even that basic certainty has slipped through my fingers. It’s funny how the things you once considered absolute facts end up feeling like total guesswork.

My cycles have been totally regular since I was fifteen—I'm 22 now—usually every 28 to 30 days. It’s definitely possible yours is running late because a cyst might be messing with your cycle.

How does ovulation actually work with the ovaries... is it just one ovary every month, alternating back and forth or what? I'm trying to get pregnant right now, and currently, the left side is active while the right one isn't anymore... so I'm wondering if it’s actually possible to just skip ovulation entirely?

I had my CA 125 checked because of a functional ovarian cyst (it's about 6cm now and just won't shrink or burst 😠). Since the results came back within the normal range, I’m wondering what the next steps are—has anyone else dealt with this?
I'm 10 weeks pregnant, and since I hadn't had an ultrasound in the six months leading up to conception, I can't say exactly when it appeared; everything looked perfectly clear on my last scan before getting pregnant.
My doctor thinks there's no need to worry unless it starts causing issues for me or the baby, at which point surgery might be necessary—something I would dearly love to avoid.
I assume that having a normal CA 125 level is a good sign, meaning no immediate radical measures are needed since there's no suspicion of anything malignant. But how am I supposed to just sit here, let it potentially grow, and try not to stress, only to end up rushed to the hospital for surgery later? Is there any way to avoid the operating room entirely? How dangerous are these cysts during pregnancy if they stay this size and refuse to budge?
Is there a chance it might shrink on its own once the placenta fully forms? I read somewhere that cysts often pop up in the first trimester due to hormonal shifts, and once the placenta takes over hormone production, the cysts might resolve themselves. Or is it unwise to wait and see, and should I just push for removal now?

Back when I was 15, I had this ovarian cyst—it was basically three times the size of a normal ovary. It wasn't exactly a fun time; the pain was so brutal it landed me straight in the hospital, which is where they first told me about the cyst. By total fluke, I ended up meeting this woman selling aloe vera products from a company called GNLD. I started sipping their juice and taking these two veggie supplement tablets, and honestly? The cyst just vanished. It popped or dissolved or something, but it never came back. I'm 23 now, and it's been clear ever since. So, if anyone out there is dealing with similar issues, I’d be genuinely happy if what worked for me helps you too 🙂. If you want more details, feel free to shoot me a DM 🙂
I'm not out here trying to advertise or sell anything; I'm just sharing the experience that actually saved my skin.

Hey there.

So, I went in for my gynecological exam yesterday, and they used an ultrasound to find some cysts that seem to rupture whenever I get my period (I'm reading online now that these might be functional cysts, right?). I’m really wondering if this is anything dangerous or if I should be treating it with something, because my doctor didn't say a single word about it other than just telling me I have them. 🤷 I was also wondering if any of you have ever tried Femisan A drops? Does that actually help with these kinds of cysts? I know they can be a bit pricey $33 at the pharmacy, and they're meant for cysts, fibroids, cramps, and irregular cycles... (just to clarify, my periods are totally regular—they come right on schedule every month and I don't have any issues with that part). 🙂 I’d really appreciate some advice and I'll be eagerly waiting to hear from you! 😢

Standard medicine doesn't really touch cysts... personally, I dealt with breast cysts by using castor oil compresses—it worked for me. While digging into how it actually works, I found plenty of info online suggesting it can help with ovarian cysts too—there's a ton of data out there in English—and maybe even fibroids...

Wait, how do you do compresses? Like, do you mean soaking a towel in castor oil and just resting it against your lower stomach? (This might be a totally silly question, but I'm honestly just a bit confused

So, you grab a gauze pad (I just picked up some compresses at the local CVS) and soak it in castor oil, then lay it right on your abdomen. To avoid making a massive mess, cover it with either a heating bag or some plastic wrap—personally, I find the wrap feels much better against my skin🙂. Then, toss a hot water bottle over it (I usually use those blue gel packs from Walgreens—you just soak them in a bowl of hot water for about 5 minutes; they cost around $6.00 and work wonders for both hot and cold therapy) and throw a towel on top... just lie down and chill for half an hour to an hour every day. Like any natural remedy, you have to be consistent to see results, but hey, I stuck with it and finally cleared my cysts after having them show up on every single exam for 12 years—completely gone now!
After you're done, just pop the oil-soaked gauze into a baggie. You don't need to re-soak it with more oil for maybe two weeks since it stays pretty oily... like I mentioned, if you look online, there are plenty of foreign sites with deep dives on how this actually works🙂, but it worked for me

Did you have those "bursting" kind of cysts too? Thank you so much for the tip, I'm definitely going to try this😘 And roughly how long did it take before you were clear? Sorry if I'm being annoying🙂

it wouldn't be anything boring 🙂
basically, they're all pretty much just plain old ruptures—growth, size, and when things pop really just comes down to hormones, and honestly, everyone's body reacts differently... some women deal with them every single cycle, while others don't at all... it’s totally individual. don't stress about it too much; plenty of us have them all over the place, though some of us know about it and others don't... for some, they cause issues, for others, they don't... i used warm compresses for a few months myself... like i said, if you're looking for natural remedies, you need patience and actual willpower

Has anyone here tried those evening primrose oil capsules from CVS with Vitamin E and B included?
Just wondering if they actually worked for you guys and how long it’s safe to keep taking them....
My OB-GYN recommended it—not specifically the ones at CVS, but just taking evening primrose oil combined with vitamins. But honestly, getting specific brands plus all the extra vitamins at the pharmacy around $33... depending on the manufacturer and which vitamins you grab, it gets crazy expensive, so I spotted these at CVS....
Please, if anyone has any experience with this, let me know.....

What was the reason she recommended them to you?
They work for some people, but they didn't help me. I tried brands like Solgar and NW, and neither did anything. Vitex helped me, though; I just needed something to regulate my cycle.

I usually have pretty regular cycles—like 28 or 29 days—but ever since I got back from vacation this summer, everything’s gone totally haywire... honestly, I can't even remember the last time my period was late. At 30 DC and 35 DC, I took pregnancy tests that came back negative, so I called my OB immediately. She squeezed me in right away and an ultrasound showed a clear cyst. Since I hadn't been in for a checkup in four months (including my Pap smear, which was all good), she put me on Duphaston for 10 days—which I just finished—to help regulate things and ease the PMS. She also mentioned Eve's drops... I already picked those up; they're bitter, but not too bad. Now I'm just wondering which evening primrose oil is worth getting... are those ones from CVS even any good?????

Sorry for the novel here, just wanted to give you the full story since you asked what the issue was... anyway, I've only had one ovarian cyst before, and that was ages ago.
Are those Vitex capsules basically the same thing as Eve's drops????

Yeah, they're essentially the same thing.
I don't know how you handle pills, and I haven't tried the ones from CVS myself, but I think some girls mentioned that the Solgar ones have twice the dosage of Natural Wealth. I believe people here said the CVS brands are fine to take.😉

I just got diagnosed with a multicystic ovary on my right side—the left one looks perfectly normal, though. Does this actually have any impact on fertility????
