"Most of my stuff comes from places like Gap or Marks & Spencer, and if I’m ever traveling through Europe, I might hit up H&M too."😉
To be honest, finding the right fit is still such a pain for me—like, I can never find cute knee-high leather boots that actually fasten comfortably around my calves, or bras that fit right (I'm a 38B, I think).
I actually stumbled upon one bra in that size just by pure luck! It was on sale at a $8.25 🤣 Takko shop while I was visiting a city out west, but besides that... 🙄
I used to shop at Dorothy Perkins back before everything went downhill, you know? They had such a huge selection then. And I totally agree with what Jason Moore63 said—their jeans actually last. Mine don't get those holes between the thighs immediately, unlike, say, some brands that start fraying after just a month of wearing them. 🙂 So yeah, I don't really bother there anymore.😁
Most of my denim is just standard stuff from Gap or Marks & Spencer.😉

Check out the boots over at Macy's. I picked up a pair of leather ones there last year—kind of had that riding boot vibe, really just a classic look.

Lisca should probably be sitting at 95 B. 🤔 Honestly, have you seen these models lately? They’re getting so weird. Just... desperate. It’s like they’ve lost the plot entirely. I was sitting there yesterday, just staring at my screen, thinking about how much everything used to make sense, and now? It’s all just this strange, hollow attempt at being something they aren't. It’s exhausting to watch.
I’m dealing with a bit of a struggle regarding my shape... relatively small circumference, but I have very deep tissue. I’m usually a 75E, though I lean toward a 70, but I honestly can't find a single bra manufactured in that specific size. 😱

Those Amadeus traps are absolutely pathetic when it comes to durability. I’ve already had to swap out several of them because they just fell apart after being worn for maybe two weeks. Honestly, I lost my mind—I was practically screaming at them. ☕ Man, if I had just stuck with DP, I probably could've coasted for a solid ten months without any drama.
I’m loving my Mustang trappers. Yeah, they cost a bit more upfront, but honestly? They're worth every penny. I find myself stumbling upon some killer deals at the St. Helena Outlet all the time, too.

Alright folks, figured I’d jump in here and add my two cents to the thread. Look, I’m definitely carrying some extra weight myself, but since I’m about 5'10", it kind of works in my favor... I mean, I’ve got great legs—actually, let's call them excellent legs, long and all that—but once you hit the hips? Ugh. And the booty... it isn't flat or wide, it's more like, you know what I mean, it sticks out 😁. But hey, at least it’s not sagging... and then there’s the stomach. That cursed stomach... ugh... plus, I had surgery a few years back and everything just sort of lost its tightness, man. And my arms? Good grief. If I gain even ten pounds, it goes straight to my arms immediately. Overall, though, it's not the end of the world, it's just the clothes that drive me absolutely insane... I have a mountain of skirts, dresses, minis, tunics... but not a single pair of jeans!!
When it comes to shopping, here's the deal: I pick up a lot of stuff at Target, where their L/XL dresses fit me perfectly, and maybe a size 14 shirt or something. I tried getting jeans from Gap before, but I wasn't really feeling it because they had too much stretch and kept sliding right off me, even with a belt, which is just so irritating 🙂
I also used to stumble upon some gems at Banana Republic, but that was a few years ago when I was maybe 10 pounds lighter; back then, I could slide into their size 14 without any drama
. Sometimes I'll grab something from Old Navy, but honestly, the quality is basically zero
. For dresses—you know, summer ones, winter ones, whatever—I usually stick to Mango or Zara because their XL is decent, sometimes even an L works
.
But the jeans!! 🙂 It’s impossible. I would honestly pay an arm and a leg just to find a pair that actually fits like they were poured onto me
.
I was in New York a few months ago, and oh my god, people—it is a total paradise for clothes. Every shop seems to carry every size imaginable. In places like Topshop or similar boutiques, they had sizes going up to 16, but in some spots, they went all the way to 28. Not every store is like that, obviously, but almost all of them carry at least up to a 20. And H&M? Absolute bliss! Even their plus-size section has plenty of options, even if the cuts were a bit boxy for me
.
The biggest headache is that if jeans fit me perfectly around the waist, then the legs are just way, way, *way* too baggy, which totally kills my motivation while I'm standing there in the fitting room... or vice versa 😢

Honestly, I feel you on that. I’ve got pretty solid legs from walking all over the city, so every pair of jeans that actually fits my thighs ends up being way too baggy everywhere else. It’s like there isn't a single pair out there that actually sits on me right.

So why even bother fighting the uphill battle with jeans? I mean, maybe just rock some skirts instead? For people built like us, they definitely look wayyyyy better! 👍

It’s not even about being impractical—honestly, I’d love nothing more than to live my best life in skirts and dresses all year round (which is basically my entire summer wardrobe, by the way). But once that chill hits the air? Yeah, denim wins every single time. It just feels way warmer than a skirt when you're trying to stay cozy. Though, I have to give you credit on one thing: skirts definitely look better on me, I’ll give you that! 😁

I deal with the opposite problem... a relatively small band size but a deep cup. I'm a 34DD tending toward a 30, and I haven't found a single bra actually manufactured in those sizes. 😱

Triumph carries all sizes, though. I wear a 34DD myself and I can always find something there, plus the styles are actually gorgeous. They’re worth every penny.

If you’re looking for minimizers, check out Triumph. They usually carry at least three or four different styles, and they’re actually solid. Victoria's Secret has one or two minimizers too, if you're interested. You can find some options online, but they usually cost around $167. The ones I like are closer to $250-$300, and they don't look tacky. They even have sizes over 100, various cup types, and everything up to F, so you really have your pick! :-) :-) Since Triumph stock varies from store to store, maybe take a stroll? If one shop doesn't have what you need, another one definitely will. Girls, Triumph has every cup size imaginable—it's a total lifesaver! Over at Marks & Spencer, you can find larger sizes, though their shirts are always way too short, which isn't great. You can also find stuff at Peek & Cloppenburg, or whatever they call themselves. The H&M in downtown Chicago doesn't really have a section for larger sizes, and honestly, their clothing quality has become absolute garbage lately, so I personally wouldn't bother.

Regarding Amadeus, the design is nice and you can find your size, but the material quality? Zero. They aren't even worth it if they were giving them away for free.

I feel your pain.😉

I have this habit where I'll find a pair that looks great on the legs, but the waist area is so massive you could literally fit three other people inside it, seriously.😁 So then I tell myself—"Yeah, I'll just buy these and take them to a tailor to get them taken in..." Yeah, right. I currently have about 3 or 4 pairs sitting in my closet like that, and let's be real, a tailor has never even seen them because I am way too lazy to actually go out and get them fixed.🙂

I know they exist. I actually picked one up recently, but honestly? Not thrilled. It left these annoying little bulges right under my straps, just above the cups, and the fit was weird—not tight enough to hold anything, yet somehow too loose at the same time. I never had those issues with Victoria's Secret.
My absolute favorites have to be Chantelle. They actually carry a 32E, which is rare. Still, I hate spending $167 on a bra I'm just going to wear every single day, but hey, life is expensive. I guess I don't have much of a choice.

I don't really get why you think $167 is too much for a daily bra when you already know it’s actually good? Especially since you're dealing with such a limited size range—finding anything that fits is a struggle in itself, so I think that price is totally fair. Like, your average "standard" bra is usually around $100.

My whole philosophy is that I’m always gonna splurge on whatever is most comfortable for my day-to-day life, even if it costs a bit more—rather than blowing a ton of cash on some fancy dress shoes or something similar that I’ll only wear once or twice a year.

So, I ran into this little fashion dilemma the other day while checking out some shirts 😢 My usual size fits perfectly everywhere else, but there’s this annoying gap right across the chest—basically, the fabric just pulls apart between two buttons, leaving this awkward little hole. 🙂 And honestly, it’s not even like I’m wearing something too small for my build.

I'm with you on that.
Jason Moore63, just buy a high-quality bra regardless of the tag. I know things can be a bit hit-or-miss in the States, but I think it’s vital that bras for fuller figures, shoes, and winter coats are all top-tier quality.
I remember there used to be a shop for larger sizes at the mall in downtown Chicago... but I haven't been back there in five years. 🤷

It’s mostly because I’m still a student and I’m not exactly swimming in my own cash right now. 😉 If there’s a cheaper option, I’m taking it. Once I’m actually working and making real money, then I’ll start splurging.
Besides, it wouldn't just be $167, it would be closer to 1500 since I always buy black, beige, and white all at once. And there’s zero chance I’m buying just one—there is no way in hell I’m wearing a white bra under a black shirt, or a black one under white. 😱
At places like Victoria's Secret or Aerie, I can grab all three for $200. They have those specific lines geared toward younger women. Chantelle also has a more affordable collection for younger girls, though their largest cup size is usually a D 🙂.

Girls, you are all hopeless...
I was at the H&M in downtown Chicago this morning, and instead of actually looking for some sexy, scandalous lingerie for myself, I found myself analyzing all of your bra sizes!

So, what’s the verdict? What did you conclude from your little investigation?

I know exactly what you mean! 🙂
After forever, I finally bought a pair of pants today that actually look good. They're deep-cut skinny jeans, so they actually fit my backside, though I still have to wear a belt. ☕
Otherwise, it's impossible. If they fit the length and the waist, there's zero chance I can pull them over my hips. If they slide over my hips, they're usually five inches too long and leave a massive gap at the waist. I practically have to fold them over. It makes me look like I'm wearing a literal tube. 🤣
On the bright side, I discovered that pencil skirts look pretty good on me. 🙂 But only if they aren't high-waisted, because then we're back to the waist being too wide. 🤦
It's the same story with shirts. Everything I tried today was wrong. I grab a size 12, and the buttons pop open at the chest while the waist is huge. I grab a 14, and I could probably fit another person inside it. 🙂

By the way, I saw at the Target over in the suburbs today that they have a ton of clothes in size 20 or so. Must be the new collection before everything sells out. They have 20% off everything through Saturday if anyone's interested...

There is something about pencil skirts that is just incredibly satisfying... almost addictive.
I actually whipped one up for myself about two months ago for a wedding—took me maybe an hour and a half, including the structural pieces for a custom fit.
Honestly, there’s a certain allure to that specific silhouette.
It’s just sooooo sexy... especially when you pair them with stockings...😍 god...
and if the fit over the hips is right, too...😛>

If you're looking for those classic German-style patterns, like the old Burda layouts from back in the day, you can find some decent stuff at stores like Joann Fabrics, though the quality varies wildly. Just a heads-up: if you're picking things up during a clearance sale, you're usually stuck with what you get. No returns or exchanges if there's a flaw, so definitely double-check all the seams before you head to the register.

That’s true about NKD. Though, I have to say, I found these amazing pants there—I've been wearing them for almost a year now and they still look brand new. 👍

Pencil skirts are honestly such a great staple. Only problem is, I usually have to get them tailored. I have this annoying gap between my waist and hips. 🙂 Okay, I won't complain; I actually have an hourglass figure. Now that I'm getting older, I'm slowly learning to just embrace it. 😁

I’m a size H. It’s kind of ironic, actually... being this overweight and yet hanging out in this PDF group.
My main issue is that all the extra weight goes straight to my stomach. So, I’d much rather be thin than deal with a belly.
Personally, I think an hourglass shape is incredibly sexy... and obviously, I’d love to actually have that kind of body, with big eyes, great hair, and all that... you know, woman stuff...

Back in high school, I was actually 35 pounds lighter. It sounds like a massive difference, but honestly, my build was exactly the same as it is now. I spent so much energy being miserable just because I didn't have super skinny legs or tiny arms. Looking back at those old photos, I feel so stupid for stressing over it. 🤣
The truth is, even back then, finding clothes that actually fit was a nightmare, even when I was wearing a size 6. 🤷
