Jeans recommendations?

I headed over to the King of Prussia mall earlier today. It’s been five years since I last bought a pair of jeans, so I figured with all those shops, I'd eventually find something.

But oh my god, what a disaster!!!!😠
I tried on stuff at Replay, Guess, Benetton... the denim quality is actually great, I won't lie, but the cuts...
I mean, who on earth can even fit into these things???😲
The rises are so shallow that you practically have to be a skeleton just to pull them up!!!! You need a 15-inch waist to make them work, plus legs like a giraffe!!! It's a complete joke!!!
And I only weigh 110 pounds😁 and I'm 5'3"!

Does anyone know if there are any "normal" jean cuts left in this world?? Something with a low rise (that isn't incredibly shallow) and a slight bootcut.
I'm going to spend the rest of the day wandering around town; hopefully, I'll strike gold.

Personally, I don't think the classic denim replay has a flattering waistline... I've got 4 or 5 pairs of the classics and they're perfect for me. Check out Gas, their Mad Jeans line is insane... In my opinion, Miss Sixty is the absolute worst when it comes to this.😲

Does a "normal" jean cut even exist anymore?? Something low-rise (without being impossibly shallow) in a slight flare. I'm hitting the shops again today, hoping to find something.

Now you know my struggle. At 5'8" and 115 lbs, I can't find anything even if I try. Everything is designed for runway models who weigh 40 lbs.
I'm also hunting for a "normal" cut—low rise and a slight flare. I found some at Gap, but their largest size was a 26!!!😲
Gap actually makes decent pants, though. I saw similar styles at Mustang, so check there too.

My take is that Diesel offers an incredibly wide spectrum of cuts, sizing, and even lengths.
I’ve personally never owned any Diesel pieces—they do cost a pretty penny, after all—but my sister mentioned they are exceptionally high quality... she also noted that once you actually find your size, you can pick the specific length you need, which means you don't have to deal with the hassle of getting them tailored.

(Now I just find myself hoping everything I've said here is actually true 😁)

By the way, there’s a Diesel boutique over in the Upper East Side that carries some of their older collections... you can find those jeans there for about half the usual price.🙂

I’ve basically been an exclusive No Limit shopper for a few years now. After a total nightmare trying to find decent jeans, I stumbled upon their shop over in Importane, and I think I have five pairs of theirs now. Plus, what really made my day was seeing they're actually Made in America. 🙂

And I honestly can't stand high-waisted jeans. Does anyone actually know if they're ever going to make denim again where the waist sits at the same spot it does on me?...😢

I picked up my absolute favorite pair of jeans there—and honestly, for a ridiculous price, too. 👍

Well, I have the exact same height and weight as you... and honestly, it’s no big deal finding jeans (low rise). These Diesel ones I have (the Hush DS model) are a 25/34.

I’ve been wearing this one killer pair from an old Levi's line for years now, but they don't make them anymore. 😢

Honestly, I deal with the exact same issues as the OP (except I’ve got a few more inches and pounds to account for, plus wider hips, a bigger butt, and thicker thighs).

Every single style out there looks absolutely ridiculous on me... if I can even manage to pull them over my thighs in the first place. 😢

I look around town and see tons of girls with curves wearing perfectly fitted jeans, yet I can't find a single decent pair for myself. 😢

I really love that flared, long-leg denim look too... so, yeah. 🙂 Just so you know, I'm a size 12.

You think you're so thin? Think again. Let’s talk reality here. You want short people? Fine. But let's look at "slim" models for a second. Give me a break. I'm over 50 and carrying about 2 extra pounds—I don't have a scale, but I know my own body—standing 5'5". And guess what? I can still find jeans that fit just fine. No big deal.

Are you seriously telling me every single cut is endlessly shallow???
Because here I am, tirelessly searching for something shallow—and I mean truly short. Everything I find sits way too high on my hips; I want something that actually hits right at the mid-thigh level (if that’s even the right term for it), something that feels genuinely LOW. So far, the only pair I’ve found that even comes close to a 3/4 length was at Teranova... besides that, nothing. It's all too high (slightly lower than the standard cuts, but still not what I'm looking for). 🤔

Well, okay... but you probably aren't much "curvier" than me if you're that weight. Honestly, I didn't think I could fit into a size 25 either since I wear a 27 in Levi's, but the clerk at the mall insisted I could pull it off (they only had that one size left, and those jeans were gorgeous).
They were a little snug around the hips at first, but after a few washes, they stretched out perfectly and now they fit just right.
