Where can I pick up a good coat? I think I need a US size 18, which would be roughly a 14 or 16 in standard sizing... I’ve never been this size before, so I honestly have no clue where to find clothes that actually fit properly. I ordered a jacket online from ASOS recently and was totally let down; it felt like wearing a tent because it was several sizes too big, and even the cut was off—it flared out way too much at the bottom, and I really don't need any extra volume there...

Basically, I’m looking for a COAT, not a puffer jacket or anything like that. I want something in black or navy, and it absolutely has to be tailored at the waist...

I checked out that new department store over at Macy's, and they have some decent puffers, but I didn't see any proper coats. Plus, everything feels a bit pricey, and since I tend to lose weight pretty quickly, I don't want to sink too much money into something I won't wear for long...

For context, I’m about 5'6", 200 lbs, with a 36-inch waist. My hips aren't the issue—I haven't measured them, but I wouldn't say I'm that wide there. I usually grab pants at Amadeus and have no trouble finding my size, though they always seem to wear out between the thighs, but that's just how my legs are built. Honestly, even back when I was 130 lbs a few years ago, I had the exact same problem with pants... man...

P.S. This is kind of urgent, and I really don't have the patience to wander through malls all day. Usually, I just grab the first thing that fits... right now, I just need to "survive" the winter with a decent coat...
I have tops from Topshop in sizes 14 to 18—usually a 16—and they fit great, and Marks & Spencer 16s work too... but for some reason, it seems like I need much larger sizes when it comes to jackets, and I can't quite figure out why...

Same goes for bras—I've always been busty, but since I've gained some weight, they've grown even more. Where does one even go to find a bra that fits properly these days?...

I wouldn't know anything about that—but you’ll definitely find bras at Lids. Honestly, I have a large bust too, and they've actually gotten even bigger since I got pregnant, so... yeah, I always find something there. You can also hit up C&A for larger sizes; I'm not sure how the quality holds up, but they're pretty budget-friendly! 😉

You can grab some cheap coats in larger sizes over at Target—actually, you might want to check the clearance section there too, their XL should be pretty decent! As for bras, C&A has a tiny selection, but if you're looking for good quality, Marks & Spencer is usually the go-to... though personally, I find their bands a little too loose and they just don't hold everything in quite right, plus they might have some coats, though I'm not totally sure if they're super budget-friendly or not

Found some killer bras at H&M lately—not breaking the bank, either. They’ve actually got a solid range of cup sizes and fits.
Triumph and Paris Lingerie have stuff too.

Honestly? Way cuter than anything from Victoria's Secret, and the fit is much smarter—at least for my body.

I finally picked up a coat from—honestly, I can't even remember the store's name, oh my goodness... LANTEA... it’s part of that shopping center in Zaporah. They have such a fantastic selection of larger sizes too... and the stitching is just top-notch. My mom actually has a coat from there that she's owned for five years (it's the exact same style as mine), and it still looks brand new, so I figured I'd grab the same one... I somehow managed to squeeze myself into a size 42 😬
Now I just need to find some bras. 🙂

Definitely at H&M—that’s my go-to spot for shopping. $33 You can actually pick up a decent, sturdy bra online—I’ve had one for months now that’s still holding up perfectly. Well, mostly perfect—aside from the fact that I accidentally tossed it in with a load of denim, so now it’s a stylish shade of charcoal gray. Not exactly what I planned, but I'll take it. 😳)

Hey everyone.

Where can one find decent braces? More importantly, which style actually works best for long-term use?
I was browsing through a few shops earlier, but I have to say, aside from the selection at Lisi's, I didn't find anything else that actually caught my eye. I'm looking for a size 12, so the options are pretty slim.

Oh my goodness, I am losing my mind, darlings!!! 🙂

I’ve always picked up my skinny jeans at Gap,
but from what I hear, those stores are closing down everywhere... 🙂

Does anyone know where I can find some good plus-size denim?

Check out Old Navy in the States... honestly, just look there, they have everything from petite to plus size and the styles are actually pretty solid.

Just go ahead and order online from dorothyperkins.com—it actually arrives quite quickly...

I've never heard of Oltre before, but I see they're at Avenue now. Does anyone know if their prices are reasonable?

Has anyone been to Ulla Popken lately? I just can't seem to find the time to go check out what they have...

I mean, the sale at Old Navy is basically over 70 percent off right now, so the prices are honestly amazing—like, you can grab jeans for around $50 and dresses for just 200...

Honestly, the price tag on this is just offensive considering what you actually get in the box; it doesn't even come close to being worth it, let alone meeting basic expectations!

Honestly, I am such a huge fan of Oltrea too. Like, if they didn't exist, I wouldn't even know where to go for clothes.😁
But anyway, regarding bras... I was looking at ordering some stuff through Liscin’s web shop, but I’m honestly stressing about messing up the size. You know how it is—ordering, returning, waiting again... I just can't deal with that long of a wait. Plus, I mostly wear their stuff anyway because it’s basically the only thing I can actually squeeze into.
Basically, I’ve got about $100 to spend. Does C&A have anything in that range? I see people mentioning them in the recent posts... Any other suggestions on where to look?
I’m even thinking about grabbing those "old lady" styles from Lisca because they look like they’d offer great support, and since retro is kind of back in style now, they don't even look as bad as I used to think they did.🙄 (Or am I just losing it?)

My latest run-in with Victoria's Secret was a total bust. A wire popped out of my bra after only a few wears... ridiculous. 😢There’s a solid selection at the St. Helena outlet with killer prices, but honestly... you might want to call ahead first just to see if they even have your size...

Check out Triumph. They’re my absolute favorites even if they break the bank... found a killer sale in Vienna recently and snagged two pieces!

M.A.N.I. hits that sweet spot for price and quality, but I think their biggest model is just the 95C. Haven't seen anything larger than that...

I honestly can't remember the last time I picked up a bra that actually cost less than $83, so I guess I’m just used to those higher price points now. I wouldn't even bother looking at Victoria's Secret; I just have this gut feeling their quality isn't quite there, plus like you mentioned, the sizing is always hit or miss.
So, you think something like Triumph might work?
It’s just so annoying when you go to places like Aerie—they claim to have all these sizes, but really they just have one single style in two different colors and call it a day...
Has anyone else gone shopping lately and found anything decent?

Honestly, I’d go wireless again in a heartbeat... I feel like these underwire ones just squeeze me way too hard...
There are a few like that, though not as many as before, and I haven't even tried buying the larger sizes yet...
I constantly have this feeling that none of them actually hold me tight enough, you know? Like, my back ends up aching more because they need to be, I don't know, a bit firmer? Or maybe it’s just that I need a totally different cut altogether...
Maybe it’s specifically this feminine style 😢

check out Anita over at the mall.

not sure how you're planning to fit an E cup and that band size without any wire at all.
I mean, maybe you can, but what does it actually look like? Wire provides the support and the shape..🤷

HM has large cups, I've mentioned them before. Not sure about the band size though, you'll have to check. Price is div>

Thanks! 😉 I’ll definitely go take a look at Ann Taylor and H&M..
As for the underwire... man, I don't know, it just feels like it's squeezing me too hard, and I always end up with this weird line cutting into my skin after wearing it (and it's not even because the size is too small).. I honestly think with those larger cup sizes, having wider straps is way more important—like, they actually need to be able to hold things up—rather than relying on a wire. Plus, you really need the right shape and material of the bra to actually support them..
Or am I totally off base here? What size do you usually wear?

aha, so it's chafing underneath... sounds more like a fit issue than the wire itself then. honestly, when it comes to boobs, there's no right or wrong—it's all subjective. everyone's built differently 😉.

I'm a 75D-E. Usually go for underwire but with cups that are thick yet soft—definitely not those stiff, padded things. Needs to be multi-layered but flexible enough to move with my body, or maybe just really firm lace.

I have this amazing minimizer from Triumph that I bought on a recommendation. It looks a lot like a sports bra—not exactly "sexy," but the support for my chest and back is incredible. It basically knocks two cup sizes off. Oh, just remembered—check out sports bras. They're definitely sturdy and comfy since they're designed for movement without any chafing or annoyance.
