Yeah, honestly, I’m not really feeling it either. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's just "old lady fashion," because you hit the nail on the head—it’s just way too baggy and shapeless. It’s kind of a mess, you know?
And don't even get me started on H&M here in the States... those bigger locations are just a total letdown.

And I’m missing Oltre, big time!
What kind of "moderato" Ducan is that supposed to be? Is that even available in Chicago?

And what about bras? Where am I even supposed to go buy a bra? And is Badic any good, assuming it isn't just cheap scraps?

I honestly have zero clue about the moderator situation, haven't heard a peep.
As far as bras go, I’m still loyal to Victoria's Secret, at least for me..
And nursing bras, ugh... I really need to dig out the ones from last year and see if they're even wearable. I'm really not feeling like buying anything new right now. Last year I picked up a few while I was pregnant, but by the end, I think I only wore those bigger ones maybe twice—one of them didn't even get worn once.. and now they're probably going to be way too huge for me.
Maybe I should just sell them? 😬

Well, I’m diving into the deep end too. It’s a bit tougher with Rob, but at least finding jewelry is easy enough.🙂

Dana Wilson said:So, I picked up some jeans at Target, and honestly? I’m kind of obsessed. Usually, I’m rocking a size 14, but these are a 12—and I’ll be real, once they stretch out from wearing them all day, I might even be able to squeeze into a 10. Though, knowing how denim works, once they hit the laundry, they'll probably snap right back to being a 12.
Let me dig through my camera roll for a pic. Anyway, they are $67, and I snagged them while they were doing a massive 25% off sale.
Long story short: highly recommend! 👍

edit: I can't find the exact link on their site anymore, but they’re super similar to the Sally straight leg ones. Basically, if you’re always struggling because the waist feels "too huge" in other brands, or if you have those long, lean legs and love wearing your jeans a bit low on the hips, these are your holy grail. 😉

You can't realistically jump from a 16 to a 12. If those 12s fit you well—or even feel big—you aren't dealing with an eight-size gap. Unless you’re talking about European sizing, where a 52 is actually more like a 16. I wear a 14, and these are the same size I wear for everything else. To be honest, I hate mine. There's way too much "air" around my waist because they stretch out so much, yet I couldn't even button the smaller size when I tried it. I bought the bootcut version in that smaller size once, too, but they don't carry them anymore. They had them when the store first opened, but they're gone now.

What do you guys think? Is there any chance I could charm a sales clerk into "finding" them at another branch? Maybe they're still sitting on a shelf somewhere.

You're totally right, I forgot to mention that all my pants are basically the Italian/Oltre 😉 size 52... And yeah, looking back, I probably should've grabbed one size down, because even mine stretched out a bit after wearing them.

Give the whole transferring from another store a shot; maybe they'll pull some strings for you.

Is he actually buying stuff online? If so, someone should probably drop a solid link...

Moderato is over in Chicago, near that rusty old monument downtown, full of overpriced stuff made right here in the States, but they have a massive range and the quality is solid... my only gripe is... it’s pricey.

As for bras, I heard Tak is pretty good, though I haven't checked myself...

A white suit isn't exactly the most practical choice for us big guys.

Look, we aren't "overweight," we’re just comfortably built—or maybe just perfectly proportioned—and honestly, if you don't see it that way, you're probably just looking at things from a bone-thin perspective, right?🙄

Honestly, I wasn't even going to give it a shot at first. I thought white would just make me look wider, but somehow... it actually looks amazing on me. The cut is spot on, too. It’s one of those rare pieces that actually flatters curves instead of hiding them... Underneath, I've got this navy skirt and matching top that basically makes it look like a dress, all tied together with the blazer. My real question is about the accessories... what color should I go with for the bag, shoes, and jewelry?

I’d probably go with a bag and shoes in a shade somewhere around here (just ignore the pattern): http://www.surepumps.com/images//c/c...ink-powder.jpg

And maybe some silver jewelry... though honestly, it really depends on what kind of dress you're wearing. Like, what's the neckline looking like?

Listen, I'm actually pregnant this year, 😁 whereas last time I was dealing with a summer pregnancy, which was intense enough, but now I'm looking at being a much more "extreme" winter mama.

It’s got a straight neckline with thin straps. Definitely not taking a jacket off... it's light and breezy enough, plus the short sleeves mean I won't melt...
Thanks, ladies. I love both ideas—those shoes are killer, assuming I ignore the pattern...
Honestly, I can't lose whichever of these two options I pick.
What about navy shoes and a navy bag, paired with red jewelry? Thoughts?
Since it's actually white and navy, it works with red, beige, maybe even turquoise... that's why I'm struggling to choose.
Total tangent, but the other thread is dead...

What should I wear for a dressier occasion if I really want to hide my tummy? 😳
I was thinking maybe something black with short sleeves, and like a wrap style—kind of like a house robe where you have a tie that pulls through a little slit on the side 😉...plus something in a thicker fabric so it actually hides the extra fluff...
I just have no clue where to shop for this kind of thing.
Size 16.

Maybe some C&A or maybe something from Modanasa... just a basic button-down or a polo, you know? Something oversized—since that’s basically the only thing they make these days—with the 3/4 sleeves..

Hey, when you finally pull the trigger on a purchase, we’d all love to see a photo of it 😉
Seriously, this thread is just missing a few pics to really bring it all together..
