honestly, people are seriously out here disrespecting fashion, with maybe one or two exceptions😉

like, do these girls even own a mirror at home? seriously: 🙂
look, I’m not attacking anyone specifically, but maybe try wearing some actual clothes to cover your backside for once🤷
or those ones in mini skirts—I mean, they’re just small, round little things, and then you throw on high heels? yikes, just... yikes.

Why would she cover her butt?

People should just wear what they feel like. 😍 If it bothers someone else, they can just look away... Hey, man. 😬

Exactly.

I see all kinds of fashion statements out on the streets every single day—doesn't matter how old or young they are—but honestly, it’s fine. To each their own, right?

It’s definitely NOT "normal" when everyone you pass is literally cracking up at them. Look, I get it, you can't debate taste, but there are plenty of gorgeous girls who actually know how to dress to highlight their best features and hide the rest. Nobody’s perfect, not even those skinny types😉, and certainly not me😁

Look, what you find attractive or totally normal might be the exact opposite for me—and vice versa.

But honestly, what even defines "normal" anymore?
Is it chunky sneakers or those ridiculous 6-inch heels with a massive platform? And does it matter if it’s on a curvy girl or someone super thin?
From what I've seen, people are way quicker to judge and laugh at a plus-sized woman than they are at a skinny one.
Why is that?
Probably because society basically gives a free pass to anyone who's skin and bones. If you're thin, you're "pretty," "hot," or "disciplined"—you can do whatever you want. Meanwhile, if you're heavier, you get labeled with every negative stereotype under the sun.
Personally, I’ve been on both sides of the fence. And let me tell you—I wasn't any happier or sadder just because of my weight. It’s all mental.
At the end of the day, it's about your attitude and confidence—not whether some random jerk is going to stare or snicker. Because trust me, there's always going to be someone like that.

About 95% of people will just laugh at a curvy woman in leggings. But if she wears some hideous outfit that doesn't fit her or look good—then they won't say a word. That's the problem. If you can't find peace with how you look, you'll never feel confident.

Everyone should dress according to what actually works for their body. That’s my motto. And I’m not just talking about us plus-sized women who shouldn't be wearing combinations like the one pictured. It applies to everyone. Like those thin women wearing corsets that make them look completely flat, or girls wearing low-rise jeans showing off a tummy when they aren't even heavy. Why bother? It's simple—it doesn't just look better for the people watching, but those women should realize they look much better this way too.

Anyone out there wearing a US size 18 or 20? I’ve got two pairs of leggings and a shirt in a size 24, but they have a slim fit. I’m looking to sell them for what I originally paid. They’ve been washed, but they’re brand new. Picked them up at New Look.

Post some photos—and honestly, send measurements too. Even if it’s a slim fit, the shoulder construction is built for that specific size, and I don't want to waste my time if it won't fit.

On another note—for women in the middle age bracket, Marks & Spencer has some gorgeous pieces in their latest collection. They also have great basics that work for pretty much any generation.

Also, regarding leggings; they seem to be everywhere lately. It feels like they're being pushed hard—especially for plus-size women. Just look at the collections over at H&M or C&A.
It's nothing but tunics and leggings. And even the pants look like leggings—totally skin-tight.
I haven't seen a single skirt anywhere, especially not pencil skirts, despite searching. Meanwhile, at M&S, there was a huge selection of beautiful dresses and skirts.
Look, I don't have anything against leggings, but personally? I don't wear them. I don't really do jeans either.
It's not that they don't look good on me—they do—it just doesn't suit my job or my age.

Carl Walker79, post those photos.

Look, since it doesn't have the original tags anymore—no offense intended—there’s no way to know if you’ve worn it or not. You have every right to sell it for what you paid, but I’m just being honest: I wouldn't pay that much.

So, I grabbed a few things from YoursClothing. Just a heads-up: their sizing runs pretty big. You should probably size down unless you want to swim in it. I haven't even tried everything on yet, but it already feels huge.
The quality is actually solid, though, and the shipping is fast—packages show up in just a few days.🙂)

The one with green stripes is cool 🙂 especially if it’s long enough to cover the back...
How much are you asking?

Look, it’s not about being provocative. These pieces are actually quite short and light. I think they’re meant to be worn over a shirt or something similar because they're sheer—you can see the bra underneath through the fabric.

crimsonviper14 said:Carl Walker79, drop the links to those summer fits so we can see what you actually picked up! 😁 Honestly, I’ve been hitting up New Look way more lately; they actually have some decent stuff.

Got a quick question for you if you don't mind... You bought that jacket from ASOS, right?
image
Could you do me a huge favor and measure how long it is? I can't stop staring at it because it's so cheap, I feel like I'm doing ASOS a favor by helping them clear out their stock. 😁 I'm just worried it might be too short for me, though—I'm about 5'10". 😢 Thanks!

Just wanted to update everyone—the jacket arrived today (http://www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=305471) and it's already my absolute favorite. It was chilly enough today that I wore it straight to work. It’s super warm and looks great; it hits mid-butt and is a little loose around the waist, but fits perfectly through the chest and shoulders. I grabbed a UK 20 since it was almost out of stock. Such an impulse buy, but thanks Carl Walker79 for the recommendation.
Now I'm just waiting on that white one with the blue heart (http://www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3073070) that Carl Walker79 also has. That one was mostly sold out too, so I snagged it fast. I've got a few more things from New Look on my wishlist, so if they pop up in my size...
Also, I noticed New Look items are often cheaper on the ASOS sale section than on their own site, plus you save on shipping.
ASOS rules!
I do have a couple of things I'd grab from New Look, but the shipping costs... if anyone else is planning an order, let me know and maybe we can split the shipping. 🙂

Both this belt and the sweater arrived today. The belt is pretty narrow, but it’s nice and looks good with jeans. As for the sweater, it's an 18—true to size, I guess—but maybe not as roomy as I expected. I'm used to plus sizes being a bit more oversized, so that was a surprise. Anyway, it's a cute sweater. Since I'm always freezing, I'll probably be wearing it constantly. 😁
Really happy with today's delivery. 😍

Target carries models like that too. They're longer and they have larger sizes available.

I usually just grab basic household stuff at Target, but I was actually surprised by the selection of tops today. The patterns and cuts aren't terrible at all. There are some really decent pieces.
