I guess Kik doesn't really carry much in the way of large sizes anymore. You might still stumble upon a shirt here or there, I suppose.

Is it possible to track down those items from the Violeta by Mango collection in local American retail stores?
Do the standard Mango outlets carry any plus-size options?
I’m specifically hunting for a 14 or 16...

No, Violeta is online only...

Stopped by Avenue Mall and Ulta yesterday—honestly, the whole vibe was just tacky. A complete letdown.
Can any girls who frequent shopping trips to Austin give me some pointers? Where should I actually go? Which stores are worth the trip? I've never really done the shopping scene here.
I'm 50.

A skirt, a knit sweater, and a plaid shirt.
The fabric is gorgeous—quality is actually decent, which is saying something for Mango. Everything arrived nicely packaged and pretty fast, too.
After reading Scott Perez57's post, I was low-key stressing about things being too short since I'm 5'9", but it's all good. Though, the shirt sleeves are a bit tight—guess those gym sessions are paying off.

Scott Perez57, where are you trying on Violeta?

I'm 5'11"—which means my shirts always feel like they're missing an inch or two—but t-shirts are fine. I don't bother trying anything on in person; I just order everything online.

I was just there recently too, and yeah, it was such a disappointment. Plus, things are way too expensive.

Let me jump in here too... Ulla is definitely, absolutely, insanely overpriced, especially considering what you actually get... just a basic black long-sleeve shirt, basically $167? Like, hello? They won't even put them on sale, ever. $17, because they claim it's "classic." Anyway, I bought one because I really needed it, but the color washed out in record time....

Someone mentioned that shop over in Springfield a few pages back, yeah, the one you pass when you're walking from the Chase Bank toward the farmer's market on the left side. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that place is closed now. It's some little hobby art boutique there instead.

Has the sale started at Marks & Spencer yet? You could probably snag something good there...

So, I used to hit up that older shopping center—I think it was called SUD? They had a decent selection for plus sizes over at H&M back in the day, but they scaled back lately, so I'm not sure if it's even worth the trip anymore. That old mall also had VOGEL, and I grabbed this killer modern jacket there once; they usually carry larger sizes. Honestly, those two spots were usually enough for me.

But since that new mall opened up, I haven't really checked out the vibe or what they're carrying. Usually, our transit buses stop at both locations before picking people back up, so just keep an eye out for where the bus pulls in when you head out...

Real talk, though, H&M was my go-to. Even if the quality wasn't amazing and things didn't last forever, it worked. But since their stock shrank, I’d probably put my money on Vogel instead... let me know how it goes because I'm seriously thinking about heading back to Graz myself... the H&M here doesn't even have a plus-size section...

I actually grabbed some stuff from the outlet too, should be here by Tuesday. I totally missed that extra 20% off deal though, which sucks.
Got two pairs of jeggings for myself and picked up some regular size pieces for my sister and mom.
How’s the sizing working out for you? I was trying to cross-reference the Bonmarché size charts with Mango's to figure it out, so hopefully I didn't mess it up too bad. 🤔
I went with cash on delivery, and since I spent over $117, shipping ended up being free. It's pretty cool that you can track the package, too—definitely a huge plus in my book. 👍

So, have you guys heard the rumor that Kohl's might stop carrying plus sizes? I've already heard it from two different people. I really hope it's just talk, because I always used to get those cotton basics there and they were honestly great. So-so.

Ugh! Totally forgot to swing back by here. 😛
Hey to you too! 🙂
The sizes are fine, just pretty standard. But I’m having a bit of a struggle with the sleeves because my upper arms are a little thicker. It’s not an issue with cotton stuff, but when it comes to button-downs and blazers, it’s a nightmare.
I bet your goodies have already arrived by now—are you happy with them? What did you end up grabbing?

Ugh, I totally forgot to let you know about the sizing. My life has been absolute chaos lately between home and work, and I haven't even had a second to wash these pants yet—I just tried them on.
So, they showed up in seven days—exactly when they said they would. Delivery guy was super nice, Overseas Express handled everything smoothly... honestly, five out of five stars from me.
Regarding sizing, I feel like they run a bit smaller than Bonprix or C&A—maybe even a size down, though honestly, it probably just depends on the specific cut, especially with the plus-size lines. Plus, I went with jeggings, which are already pretty tight to begin with.
Material and stitching seem alright, I guess. Not gonna go overboard with the praise though—don't want to jinx it. 😁
I’m pretty happy with it, so I’ll definitely be ordering again—assuming they keep the cash on delivery option and don't hike up the shipping fees too much. $117.

Yeah, I might as well jump in on this thread about Ullu. I actually stepped into one of their stores once and, honestly? Never again. Maybe the quality is technically better or whatever, but who cares when the clothes look like they were pulled from a grandma’s closet? Everything is just huge, shapeless sacks. And the prices? Ridiculous. You’d think they were selling 24k gold or something. 😵
And you can tell business is booming, I guess. I was literally the only person in the store.☕
Man, we seriously need another shop where we can actually swing by and try stuff on.

Here’s another page for you guys to check out... I saw an ad for it on TV, but I don't know anything else about it:

http://www.navabi.de/

Regarding Ulle, I knew I could walk in there and always end up empty-handed. My only thought was, "If I actually had a bag of money, I still wouldn't find anything worth buying here."

Hey ladies,

Has anyone come across any winter coats designed for fuller figures—specifically those longer, belted styles? I’m looking for something that doesn't look completely unflattering and won't break the bank. Does such a thing actually exist?

Also, has anyone swung by the H&M over at Westgate lately? Is it even worth the trek? I'm curious if their current plus-size selection is actually decent.

Scott Patel53 and I am wondering about the same thing... specifically regarding the choice of shorts—something with a thicker, winter-weight fabric. Black, classic style, size 52-56... anyone have any leads?🤔

As far as I know, they carry larger sizes at C&A, but Kiku isn't bad either. My mom shops there, and maybe at Takko too... But I haven't been to a mall in ages. Just don't have the time!

So, I picked up this gorgeous down jacket from C&A last year—slightly cinched at the waist, really lovely.
The only issue is it’s a size 12, and since I dropped 10 pounds due to some health stuff, it’s hanging off me now. Honestly, an 8 would be perfect.
I'm not sure if they even carry smaller sizes anymore.
On the flip side, their coats are top-tier. Everything else feels like cheap synthetic junk that just doesn't sit right.
I saw H&M carries up to a size 24 or even 28, but nothing there catches my eye.
It's all baggy blouses that look like nightgowns, leggings I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, and just this overall shapeless, raggy, depressing vibe.
They don't have any decent, classic trousers.
Everything is just way too casual.
Marks & Spencer has some stunning pieces, but they only go up to a size 20, and the prices? Way too steep.
Guess I'll just have to wait for the clearance sales.

Thanks, Susan Anderson33..
As for me, I pick up tunics, shirts, and pants at H&M—though honestly, they only hit the mark on both fit and style about once. I have this one amazing pair from H&M that stays perfectly pressed—they were $83, but man, they're great...
Stores like Kohl's or Target don't really carry that specific style of pants, but I'll grab a jacket, some tees, or maybe some joggers at Kohl's when they have a sale for $67, which is actually a pretty good deal...

Yeah, finding the right fit is a total nightmare.
From what I’ve gathered, H&M is basically built for tall girls.
I’m about 5'4" and everything there is way too long for me.
Their tees hang down past my ass like tunics—and don't even get me started on the pants; I have to hack off at least 8 inches just to make them wearable.
I don't mind fixing a shirt, but hunting down a tailor just for some jeans? Too much work.
C&A and Marks & Spencer have better length options, which is huge for me.
Their pants actually fit—especially the ones from M&S; they feel almost custom-made.
I once picked up some jeans from KiK that looked great initially, but even though I barely wore them, they ripped at the thighs in no time.
They weren't pricey, but hey—you get what you pay for.

I finally found a jacket!

First, I stumbled upon the absolute perfect one at the Sportina in the Arena Mall. It was a Tom Tailor—the cut was incredible, really elegant, and it fit beautifully... and the price was great too, except $500.... so I kept looking...

Then, I hit the sale at Reserved where everything was 30 percent off. They actually carry a size 44, which is plenty of room for a plus-size woman, so I ended up saving the day there with this gorgeous, long, belted brown jacket for about 300 bucks...

By the way, it was such a pleasant surprise to find that Reserved actually carries sizes for people like us...

I’m on the hunt for some leggings that actually look like trousers. You know, just standard black pants? Anyone got a lead?
