I like almost all cookies. From Mulin Bianco to Hershey's Napolitanos. Recently, I picked up some Pepper Cookies at IKEA—if that’s how you spell them—that are remarkably similar to Speculaas, though they carry a slightly more intense flavor profile. 😍

I was wondering if anyone knows where in the States I could actually pick up those little cookies they serve with coffee at most cafes? My girlfriend is obsessed with them, so I’m trying to track some down to surprise her. Any leads would be much appreciated!🙂

Over on Fifth Avenue—if you’re heading away from the Square—there’s this one specialty shop that does coffee, teas, and all that good stuff; there might be some luck to be found there. Also, check out the spots near the Opto Center on Fifth Avenue; they have those specialized stores stocked with every kind of coffee imaginable, plus all the gear—cups, saucers, the whole nine yards—so definitely take a look there.
As for the cafes, they usually source those biscuits in bulk from somewhere large—honestly, your best bet is just to pull up a chair at a local spot where you actually know the staff and ask them directly.

When I'm sitting down with my coffee, I usually snack on some Amarette biscuits.
For the longest time, they were way too expensive to find locally, so I used to drive all the way over to Italy just to pick them up.
But now, you can actually grab them at the local Metro for a pretty reasonable price—usually around a $6.75 500g bag.

I actually had this happen once at a little cafe downtown. While I was grabbing my coffee, they handed me this tiny little cute package that had two packs of Orbit gum inside. The packaging was so incredibly adorable that I couldn't help myself—I asked the barista where they even get those types of gum packs. Well, long story short, they ended up hooking me up with enough extra supplies to last me basically a whole month!😬

I know he picks up some of those cookies at Hershey's. Give the factory outlet store out on the plains a call and see if they have them available for purchase there.

Mom, she’s definitely talking about those Speculaas cookies—the ones with the cinnamon kick.
They’re basically the go-to snack whenever you're grabbing a coffee or tea. You can pick up a pack at any Walmart.

the ones I actually love aren't really like Speculaas.
Don't get me wrong—I absolutely adore Speculaas—but this just isn't that flavor, plain and simple.
Once I track down my favorite brand again, I'll grab the ingredients list and write it all out for you.😬

I was actually just sitting here thinking the other day about how it’s been way too long since I had one, and I realized I absolutely have to go out and grab some soon.
