Honestly, regular cookies and Speculaas just don't taste the same.
Speculaas usually has that nice almond vibe or something similar—but these? These are more like they've been heavily caramelized.

They’ve got that caramel and cinnamon vibe—though, honestly, the aroma can vary quite a bit. There's a noticeable difference between Koestlin's Speculaas and, say, the store brand I picked up at Target.

They’re just basic gingerbread cookies—those ones from Target aren't anything like the real deal, period.
The authentic gingerbread, like the kind you get at a local cafe, just doesn't hit the same flavor profile—so there's basically zero chance they're using the same ingredients. Once I get my hands on both, I'll transcribe the ingredient lists for you so you can see for yourself. 😉

Neither of those two is even close to being bad.
It’s really just that you can find Gingerbread in grocery stores everywhere, but you can't seem to find this specific one in any cafes—well, maybe they have it, we just haven't tracked them down yet. 🙂

There’s definitely a catch—like people say, there’s always a catch involving some shop like Metro... it’s almost as if they’re sourcing them through secret channels😉 and I bet those Jefini treats are just terrifying once you pair them with a coffee😁 me like it

Yeah, those are basically just coffee biscuits, definitely not Speculaas! They have that killer flavor because they're caramelized—like someone mentioned earlier—whereas Speculaas usually has that almond kick to it.

A buddy of mine actually gets them in bulk through a distributor who also hooks him up with sugar packets; honestly, you probably won't find that kind of setup at your local Walmart.

For me, it’s a toss-up between Ferrero Rocher and a piece of Milka loaded with whole hazelnuts... mmmmmm... just imagine if a Ferrero Rocher were the size of a football... man, that would be pure indulgence.😁...

Honestly, Ferrero is hands down my absolute favorite chocolatier on the planet, and I’m obsessed with basically everything they put out.
Those little truffles and the Lindt excellence ones with almond and orange? Man, those are easily my top picks when it comes to store-bought sweets...
