Favorite store-bought treats: cookies, wafers, chocolates, candies...

Forget industrial candy, I’ll kill for some Mozart Balls. When I'm craving milky stuff, I go for Dorina orange or white Ritter Sport with hazelnuts (not usually a white chocolate guy though). For ice cream—Sunny, King peanut, or Queen cream with cherry. Biscuits—Manner round wafers and Hershey's Lili cookies. Then finish it all off with some Campino orange candies.

But the true king of sweets? Hershey's Cake. This orange one is killer, but honestly, as long as it's the cake, I'm good. Don't know what kind of drugs they put in there... but man, it hits different.

Ferrero Rocher is hands down the king of them all, though there’s nothing wrong with the rest: Raffaello, Twix, Snickers, Kinder Bueno, Kinder Pingui, Kinder Milch Schnitte, Toffifee, Mon Cheri...

Everything is so tasty, but man, they always give me such bad breath afterward.😬
I’m a huge fan of dark chocolate; I usually find myself reaching for Lindt or Frey. 😍
I am absolutely obsessed with marzipan in any form—give me those Mozart Balls, the Ritter Sport marzipan bars, or even those little gold-wrapped marzipan sticks...

When it comes to ice cream, I love anything from the Orient line, especially the Pozdrav s juga flavor.🙂 For store-bought stuff, I’m all about those mixes with forest fruits, yogurt, vanilla, or chocolate...
I’m actually not a big fan of peanuts on their own, but I'll take them if they're mixed into chocolate or an ice cream like a Snickers.😁There were so many varieties I used to love that Nestlé just pulled from the shelves, so I won't even list them because thinking about it just makes me bummed out. Oh why, but why. 😢

Lisa Moore7, if I were you, I'd swap out the Manner for the red Loacker. Honestly, best thing I've ever had. Manner is way too sugary—those red Loacker ones are just spot on.

I actually love the raisin ones when I'm craving something super sweet🙂. Usually, they're a bit much and most people aren't really into them😳.

There used to be a Milka marzipan version, but it vanished just like that "Christmas" one. They released a few other seasonal versions too, but I never saw them again once the holidays passed. That plum jam one was seriously top-tier. 🙏
It drives me crazy when they discontinue stuff like that; I deal with the exact same thing with makeup brands.😠

I guess sales didn't hit their targets, or maybe some product lines are just destined to be "one-season wonders" from the jump.😢

I actually think Bajadera is pretty good, just a little too sweet for my taste. If I really had to pick a local favorite, I’d go with Griott😁 any day. Honestly, whenever I’ve brought some of our chocolates over to friends abroad as gifts, everyone was obsessed—especially with the Bajadera and the Griott😁.

Bajadera is legitimately high-class stuff. Maybe they’re a little extra, but honestly, that’s kind of the whole point—it’s a sophisticated treat, so you aren't supposed to just inhale them by the handful. Like, have one or two with your coffee. Though, let’s be real, I could definitely go overboard with them 😉.

Someone brought up Hershey's Cakes, and man, those are hands down my absolute favorite snack! But—just like pretty much everything great in life—you gotta watch out. If they aren't super fresh and crunchy, they basically just turn into some mediocre wafer, but when they're fresh? Absolute perfection!😍

For me, those Mozart Balls used to be the gold standard, though they lost their charm ages ago. When Milky Way hit the scene, it was excellent; I think we tend to respond best to fresh flavors. There was actually a period where I was basically high on Milka Nut nougat. Some people might find it cloying, but for me, it was pure ecstasy.
But yes, if you're asking whether domestic sweets are underrated, the answer is an absolute yes.

My mom, for instance, always picks up our local sweets whenever she goes over to visit friends. The reality is that most people just overlook our homegrown stuff—which is exactly why that "Buy American" campaign exists. A lot of folks act like Milka is the only name that matters, but we definitely have some solid chocolates in that same league.
If I'm going to grab chocolate, I'd much rather pick something high-quality than just settle for Milka.😁

Our rice-based chocolates are superior to anything else out there—especially compared to those half-baked products from Bali and places like that.

I’m a huge fan of Kinder Bueno and Double. For me, nothing beats that specific combo of chocolate, hazelnut, and biscuit. 😁
