Hey everyone, hope you're all doing good...

Here's the deal.. I'm 22 and have been messing around with combat sports recreationally for a few years now.. Money's a bit tight lately so I'm looking for some advice. Does anyone know of a decent club where I can train maybe 2 or 3 times a week (Judo, wrestling, boxing, MMA, whatever) where the membership isn't going to break the bank—thinking something under $150 a month?$53
Ideally somewhere near the Boronja, Ravnica, or Maksimir areas. Thanks a ton.

I think might be the cheapest option, but it’s not really located in those specific neighborhoods.

Thanks for the heads up, but that’s a bit of a trek for me... I was hoping for something a little closer to home. I’ve been scouring the web but coming up empty, so I figured maybe there was some local spot that just hasn't hit the internet yet.

And what kind of damage are we talking about, roughly?

Look, you can't just ask for a "stick" and expect an answer. It’s like walking into a custom auto shop and saying, "Hey, I need a car," without mentioning if you want a Ford F-150 or a Tesla.
What thickness are we talking? What’s your budget? Do you need it laminated? What kind of wood grain? How fast do you need this thing? Give me some specifics.

Shoot me a DM with the details, then we'll talk.😁

By the way, there actually is a specific type of wood you can use to make a BO that’s practically unbreakable. I’ve tested it myself. It’s incredible—once you "break it in" properly, the wood settles, and it won't warp or bend on you ever again.

Hey there
So, just like the title says—I’m totally stuck between these two BV styles.
I’ve been training Savate for a little while now, but I’m looking to make the switch... if you guys could drop some answers, I’d really appreciate it.

-Who are the fighters actually dominating in K-1 and other circuits right now?
-I'm 15 years old, about 5'7"+, and weighing somewhere between 110-130 lbs... still growing, obviously... so what would fit me best given my age and build?
-Does kickboxing include knee strikes? I don't mean in their official matches, but do they practice them during training since they do mixed competitions where knees are allowed, like K-1?
-And are there any good KB clubs in the Chicago area? (Since I'm leaning more towards kickboxing lately).

(I know there are spots over in the suburbs, but if there's anything in the city... I'm not lazy, it's just hard to find the time with school and everything).
Thanks a ton
Also, sorry if I messed up any names or if these questions sound a bit dumb 😁

It doesn't really matter which one you pick, honestly... they're pretty similar... MT includes knees and elbows, but kickboxing doesn't use them at all, not even in drills...
pretty sure they aren't even allowed in K-1...

Alright, so I’ve officially decided to pull the trigger on MMA—now the big question is, can you actually expect a decent, proper beatdown during training? Or are these guys all super understanding once you start showing up? Also, does anyone know of a good MMA club around the suburbs of Chicago or the city itself? Thanks!

Initiation means walking on hot coals, swimming with sharks, eating raw bat organs, and then getting absolutely wrecked like a kitten (once they stop playing football for the Dallas Cowboys xD)🤣 🤣 🤣

Just messing with you, man. You’ve got plenty of time before you hit those real heavy sparring sessions... 🙂

You will likely face your first sparring session after about five regular training sessions.

Thanks, guys... I know about Bane—my buddy and I actually trained there a few times. It’s his friend’s gym that he rents out, so we've been around. Does anyone know if there's an MT gym somewhere in the shadows? I used to live over in Dubrava near there, but back then I wasn't really into it. Now though, I definitely need one—somewhere near Bane, or Potkov, maybe just below that little corner grocery store that was suggested.
Took about an hour on the bus and the light rail combined... so if you happen to be out somewhere near— sesvetama I’d be forever in your debt for this... 😉

Try to charm Mr. Ban. If he hands over Christian Tepe's contact info, we're set. He might be strictly focused on boxing these days, but his kickboxing skills were top-tier.
As far as I know, Kristijan runs some kind of club over in the suburbs of Chicago.

Can anyone give me the lowdown on how things are going over at Panther Boxing Club near the downtown area? I'm trying to figure out if it's actually worth checking out—like, what’s the vibe with the crowd size, is the training quality legit, any intel on the coaches, prices, and the usual schedule stuff? Would be super grateful for some honest, unbiased info! Thanks a ton ahead of time.

MMA went down in Sracin and Kneginc—not sure what the current situation is right now... just hit up this number and ask: 091 2633210. It's Martin.

Hey everyone—does anyone happen to know if there are any Kung Fu or Wing Chun training sessions going on around the Tampa Bay area? Maybe somewhere in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, or even over toward Sarasota?

What exactly is Jeet Kune Do? Is it basically just another way of looking at the same stuff? Honestly, I’m not really interested in the whole Karate, kickboxing, or boxing scene—nothing like that interests me much.
