👍 Thanks for the heads up.

Quick question about these mouthguards—I'm looking through this shop near the mall and the prices are all over the place, ranging from maybe $20 to over $200. Is there actually a huge difference between them? I'm just planning on doing this recreationally for now, but I figured I should ask so I don't end up like when I bought those cheap gloves for my bike; I was just messing around as an amateur and the whole thing basically fell apart in a month. :-D

Is there any decent club near the student center, specifically around the campus area in Split?

I'm interested in MMA.

Look, Pit Bull is pretty much the only one actually putting in work with MMA—just Google it and see for yourself...

Hey there! Does anyone happen to be willing to break down the difference between classic (Japanese) Jiu-Jitsu and BJJ for me?

Can anyone tell me how sports clubs get their funding over in Canada? I’m specifically looking into judo clubs—mainly the recreational groups. I’ve been doing a little digging and noticed some of them seem to charge annual membership fees that are honestly pretty laughable compared to what I’m paying here in the States... Maybe I’m totally misreading the situation, but I’m curious—what kind of prices are we talking about for recreational judo in Canadian clubs?

I’m looking for some folks who might be interested in getting together for some recreational grappling sparring—specifically people in the 18–35 age range and weighing somewhere between 120 and 130 lbs. We’ll be running these sessions over in Volosko, just outside of Opatija. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out to me at 092/231 72 23 whenever works for you—honestly, anytime is fine—but please, let's keep it professional; I'm really not looking for any prank calls or time-wasters (!). You can also shoot an email over to tom.spr.196839@gmail.com. Looking forward to meeting some new training partners.

So, I've been getting really into Muay Thai lately, and honestly, I have this huge urge to just jump in and start training. But there’s this one little—okay, actually a massive—problem. Because of some health stuff I've got going on, I'm not really supposed to do sparring. I mean, maybe I could, but my doctors are pretty adamant about me staying away from it. Just so nobody gets the wrong idea, I'm totally fine with the actual workouts and the intensity of the training; I definitely won't pass out on some pro instructor or anything. In fact, being physically active is actually super good for my condition and they really recommend it. So, I guess what I'm wondering is, can you find somewhere in a big city like Chicago to train recreationally for Muay Thai, but strictly without any sparring?

What’s that supposed to mean? Can you work on focus mitts? There’s always a risk of getting hit by accident. Of course you can skip sparring at any gym since most have recreational groups. You’ve got plenty of solid clubs in NYC. Whereabouts are you located?

Yeah, I can totally use focus mitts, and honestly, a little accidental contact isn't really a big deal to me. Anyway, I'm based out in the suburbs, near the outskirts of the city.

I have a question that’s probably been asked before, maybe even right here, but I couldn't find it, so I'd appreciate some insight from those who know. Why did DirecTV stop offering the Fight Channel? It used to be on channel 25, where you could do pay-per-view for every UFC card and all the other big combat sports events. I'm wondering when we might see it back. Specifically, there's that rematch between M. Filipovic and G. Gonzaga coming up soon, which none of the local networks seem to be covering, so I'm stuck on how to watch it. If we rule out internet livestreams—because one Klic fight I tried to stream ended up giving my laptop enough viruses that I'm still trying to clean them off today...

Greetings, everyone.
Searching the web hasn't been particularly productive, so this forum is my last resort.
Does anyone know where I can find MMA training for women in the Chicago area?

Hey everyone, I’ve recently started getting into MMA. I tried looking up the rules online, but everything is in English and let's be real, my English isn't exactly Shakespearean. So, could someone out there break down the basic rules of mixed martial arts for me? Or maybe just point me toward a website 😁 where the rules are actually laid out clearly? Thanks in advance!

Hey, I’m looking for an MMA gym recommendation in the Chicago area, preferably somewhere close to the new suburbs. I’ve got some boxing experience under my belt and a little bit of grappling, too. Since I’m a student, it would be awesome if the membership fees weren't absolutely astronomical.

Not sure if there’s anything left at CoreGym (they moved locations), but feels like N.Zgb is totally lost when it comes to MMA right now...

Hey, quick question—is anyone here hitting up those recreational boxing sessions over at Gladiator on Ilica, or does anyone actually have experience with them? Looking for some honest feedback. Also, if you know of any other solid clubs in the West Side of town, let me know.
