Jeans recommendations?

You nailed it... you’ve always gotta assume most pants—especially jeans—are just gonna stretch out eventually.
That’s mostly an issue with Levi's, unless they finally started mixing 2% Lycra into everything.
Because of that whole stretching thing, I basically only wear one pair of jeans (GAS) since they barely budge.
With pretty much any other brand, I’m constantly washing them just to get them back to how they looked in the fitting room.
Look, I love denim, but until I go broke buying a new fleet of cars, my motto stays the same: better to have one killer pair than a bunch of junk!👍

So I recently picked up some low-rise Diesel jeans, but honestly? They’re totally useless for winter... I’ve learned my lesson though, I have to be super careful about sizing now because if they don't have any stretch, they just stretch out everywhere. I've already gone through two pairs like that...

...Honestly, my absolute favorites have to be the Diesel jeans... I know they aren't cheap, but I spend ages washing and drying them just right to keep them perfect... then there was this one pair I picked up at Zara... the cut looked amazing and I don't think they even cost that much, but I had to struggle so hard just to pull them over my hips and before I knew it, the seam straight up split right down the back...😁 ...Americanino does some decent cuts, and then there was this one pair I saw at Importanne that felt like they were around $50... They're on sale... the fit and look are almost identical to the Diesel ones... I can't remember the exact name, but I'll definitely go check the site one of these days...

Look, height and weight don't mean a damn thing if you don't have the build to fit into a size 25. There’s just no math that makes it work. So what if I've got strong hips and a bit of a curve? It doesn't change the reality. And finding decent jeans is its own special nightmare—finding the right cut or color feels impossible. Most of them are too short, too. I can't stand it when I sit down and the hem jumps up to my knees. Just ridiculous.

They were a bit tight around the hips at first. But after a few washes, they stretched out perfectly. Just right now.

Five years ago, I picked up some Gap jeans that I still wear religiously. I saw the tag the other day—size 27—and honestly, I’m horrified. But damn, I love them. A few months back, I bought another pair from Gap, size 29, because I couldn't fit into a 27 or 28 anymore. After leaving them in the closet for a while, I can barely even button them now. To make matters worse, I have a pair of size 30s that fit my waist exactly like those 27s do. I have no idea how to explain it. They're all Gap. It makes zero sense.
Maybe I’m not as built like you, but I’m certain I wouldn’t be caught dead in jeans under a size 29—especially now that I’ve finally put some actual weight on my shins and hips.😁

Look, I don't have any hips😬 so I'm not exactly the perfect model here, but a friend of mine is about 5'5", 140 lbs, and every single pair of jeans she buys is way too long. She constantly has to get them hemmed because her leg length is basically three or four sizes smaller than what's standard.🙄

And honestly, I have zero clue what a size 25 even looks like.😁

I’m going to go ahead and assume you're getting screwed on these jeans, because brands make "tall" styles for girls with long legs but zero hips. You end up with stuff that fits the length but is too tight, or vice versa. Personally, I hate it when my jeans ride up too high, so being slim enough to just let them drag on the floor is actually a win.😁

Anyway, I'm out of here before I think of something even stupider to say.

My brother actually brought me some jeans from Italy once that were insanely long—it seems like every brand does this. He also brought me a pair that was huge in the waist but still ridiculously long. If I track down those specific ones, I'll let you know.

Yeah, length is the issue for me. I’ve got long legs, but they don't lose weight like the legs you see on those models in department store ads. And honestly? Kenneth Sullivan58: You can shorten those growth numbers if you want. I can’t make them any longer or shorter myself. I actually had to size up in Wit Boy because nothing smaller would even fit. Now that winter's coming, I'm looking at some tweed trousers—they're cozy enough. Hopefully, I'll find some jeans before then, or maybe some linen ones for the summer.🙂.

I'm not cutting any corners, I'm clearing them out of my way... 😁

It just doesn't make sense to me how you can't afford those jeans when you're offering six cents more than I am. 🙂

I’ve actually started using denim overalls to mop my floors... honestly, the city grime around here should probably just be transferred directly onto the fabric at this point.😁

The last pair I picked up was from Topshop—the Spike model. They have buttons instead of zippers, and since they come in so many different lengths and widths, you don't even have to deal with the tailor.

Just a heads-up on the fit: I’ve got pretty narrow hips but my thighs tend to be a bit more substantial.

Sadly, they changed their lineup😠 so now I'm back to square one, hunting for the perfect pair again.🙄

They’ve got this subtle, faded black trim around the pockets and waistline that just hits different. They look absolutely killer... and honestly, the price was a steal too.$230...So, if anyone out there wants to sponsor my shopping habit, consider this my official pitch...

...Oh, and I should mention, brands like Levi's usually nail the fit. I remember rocking their denim back in the day, and I've noticed so many guys picking them up lately—even my brother is a regular. Their cuts are just solid.

It's just that I can't stand pants where the waistband isn't actually at my waist.
They bother me, they're uncomfortable, they're just gross...
I actually have a pair I bought once because the legs looked so amazing I couldn't resist. I thought maybe I'd get used to them. I put them on one time, and they've been sitting in my closet for two years now.
And honestly, I'll probably just toss them eventually since I don't know anyone I could pass them off to.
Unless I think of donating them to the Red Cross before they go straight into the trash... 🙂

Hey ladies... I’m betting that despite everything you guys just listed, absolutely none of you have quite AS many damn problems with jeans as I do. I’ve got incredibly long legs—we’re talking skyscraper status—and a tiny backside. If I try to find a pair tight enough so I’m not just swimming in denim, they end up being capris that hit me below the knee. But if I actually find a pair with enough length, I could probably fit my sister, my cat, and a freaking refrigerator in them. 😠

It drives me absolutely insane!

Honestly, there are times when I won't touch a pair of jeans for a year or two simply because I can't find any... because there is nowhere to actually buy them. 🙄

Thankfully, Miss Selfridge has been solving this nightmare for me lately. 😍

They looked incredible, though, and the price was actually pretty decent. $277It’s even darker now. Everything is happening right here in Times Square.

I headed over to the Levi's store downtown with my partner. I honestly couldn't believe what happened next. It had been years since I last bought a pair of jeans—I didn't even know my current size. A really kind, handsome salesman stepped in to help. He picked out a few different styles for me to try on, and I went through every single one. Whenever a fit wasn't quite right, he’d immediately grab something else for me. We eventually found the perfect style, though I was really hunting for a lighter, more distressed look.
Veli tip: "No worries, I’ve got another shop over there (Wrangler). I have two models waiting for you. I'm just stunned!!!"🙏
He dropped me off at that other shop, and I finally scored the exact pants I've been looking for!!!
Kudos to this guy—he’s a true professional!
