Elizabeth Fowler said:Ideally, a woman... because honestly, I already have a massive phobia when it comes to gynecologists...

thanks

From my own experience, the men are actually far more gentle and careful... I’ve been in with two women and I am never going back.😠 😠

Does anyone actually know why Dr. Harni ditched her forum?😢

I dropped a question there months ago and haven't heard back—not from her, not from anyone else for that matter.

Why??🙂

That was seriously the only gin forum where you could get an answer almost instantly. And we’re talking quality answers, too... not just some random junk.
🙏

Maybe she got too famous and it’s freaking her out... you know how it goes, once you get too much exposure, panic sets in and you just pull the plug.

Or maybe she's just bored with it all...

I don't buy the "too busy" excuse either... because that forum has been running for at least two years, if not longer... so that whole story just doesn't hold water for me.

😕

Copied from www.roadsideassistance.com

"So, Dr. Snježana Belak called me this morning—she’s got her practice over on 5th Avenue, specifically at number 5.
Every Monday, between 1:00 and 5:00 PM, she opens her doors to women who don't have any kind of health insurance. Honestly, you don't see much of that anymore; it's actually pretty impressive.

Anyway, if you happen to know a girl or a woman out there struggling because she's uninsured and can't afford basic checkups, please pass this along."

Truly commendable stuff! 👏

restlesspanther1 said:Breast exams are just a standard part of the Pap test... I make sure to mention it every single time😁 and every time they just point me right back to doing self-exams instead. 🙄

I’m pretty sure it’s not actually part of the Pap itself, just a regular OBGYN visit...

restlesspanther1 said:Basically, they skip it because they think it's unnecessary for younger women... though they really shouldn't.👍

My doctor didn't even check mine. She's a decent person, usually, but she told me if I want a real exam, I have to see an oncologist. Honestly? Getting a referral from my primary doctor is such a massive headache. The wait times alone are endless... why bother?

So yeah, some OBGYNs just don't do the exam. Probably because they lack the experience or whatever.

Michael Jones23 said:I honestly don't think we're looking at a part of a standard Pap test here. It feels more like a routine screening for something else entirely—likely a regular checkup for gastrointestinal issues.

Look, let me be crystal clear here—this isn't just some random opinion I cooked up in my head or a personal theory I’m throwing out there to stir the pot. It’s not my "take" on the situation. I am repeating exactly what my gynecologist told me, word for word. This is medical information provided by a professional, not my own subjective conclusion. 😉

I just sat through the entire lecture on how I’m going to have to handle this all by myself every single month—basically a roadmap for my life that says, "today, tomorrow, and even when you hit forty." Just... wow. 😱 That is an exceptionally poor way to phrase that. 🙄

It felt a little weird to me too, but check out this link The doctor actually reached out and tried to explain things. I just had an appointment recently, and let me tell you, she is absolutely slammed! She’s super busy, but I’m really hoping she gets everything organized soon so the forum can get back to normal. Honestly, for all her patients, the email replies are still coming in lightning fast! 👍

I mean, so what? Honestly, you probably should have been told! That sounds like a good thing. It’s actually great they pointed you in that direction. If only every doctor out there was actually willing to be that informative. Seems fine to me! 👍

I’m just over here feeling sorry for myself because I haven’t run into a gynecologist who’d actually bother explaining things like that yet. You’re lucky!

But wait, do you sound like you're actually upset that he mentioned the age forty part? 😉

Honestly, just making it to forty is a win in itself—better than not seeing it at all, right? 🤔

Over at www.zdravljeizivot.com/forum, you can get some insight from Darko Husar

but if you check out www.cybermed.hr, I’m thinking Djelmis from the Petrova clinic
might be your best bet...

But I am only 23... 🙂 He couldn't just throw out some random comment about me turning 40 tomorrow like it was nothing. 🙂

restlesspanther1 said:but I'm only 23... 🙂 he couldn't just tell me like that—like tomorrow I'll suddenly be 40 or something— 🙂

it’s basically that whole "half-full vs. half-empty" glass situation... you know?

Look at it this way: these women hitting forty today? They look like they were barely twenty yesterday—seriously.

Anyway, I’ve looked pretty much the same since I was seventeen...

even though I'm twice the age now.

Back then, people used to give me way more—now? Barely anything at all. 😉

Jose Miller3 said:Ugh, seriously... people just love playing the humble card these days... 😁

But hey, if it’s the truth, what am I supposed to do? 🙂

Back then, I looked way older than I actually was

But now? No wrinkles, no gray hairs, and my figure is still pretty much the same (whatever that even means at this point 😁)

Maybe it’s all that time spent doing chemistry in silico—you know, computer modeling stuff... 😎

restlessowl52 said:As far as I'm concerned, the only real difference between seeing a male or female gynecologist is that a woman might actually understand what you're going through—whereas a guy probably won't quite get it. But honestly? I’ve been to both, and I think the male doctor was actually better for me!

Look, my experience is actually a bit different—I ended up seeing female doctors for a while, but lately, I’ve mostly been going to male gynecologists. I guess it’s just because they tend to pay more attention to me. Since they don't deal with all that monthly stuff themselves, they don't fully understand what it's like, so they actually stop and listen to everything I have to say. If you go to a woman and she isn't dealing with the same issues, she might not quite grasp how much it hurts—and trust me, the pain I deal with is absolutely brutal.

Anyway, that’s just how things went for me—at least, that was my experience.

Highly recommended—Fantastic and charming. Dr. Predrag Đurić, located near the Federal Reserve...
He was the head of the maternity ward and even served as hospital director.😁 😁
Meticulous, experienced, he explains everything thoroughly...

PREDRAG ĐURIĆ, M.D., OBSTETRICIAN & GYNECOLOGIST. US equivalent: Near downtown Chicago...
