2. post 😁

So, this is why I decided to start this thread in the first place.

Now that you all know what’s been going on with Dr. Greg's clinic and everything... I was wondering if there is any gynecologist in the city who will actually see you right away if you're dealing with an issue, like an infection or something similar??

About a month ago, I went down to the student health center to see Dr. Greg's team and told them it was urgent, listing out all my symptoms... but the nurse just told me that "urgent cases" are only things like heavy bleeding or a few other specific things, and that I really needed to book an appointment instead... so I scheduled one for three weeks out, which is when I explained everything in detail above...
I went to my primary care doctor instead, and they prescribed some medication, and then... well, it seemed fine for a bit (obviously, after those three weeks passed), but then the infection flared right back up, I had to take more antibiotics, and it just keeps coming back... since yesterday, the problems have started all over again...

I won't go into the gritty details, because there isn't much point in that...

I can't go to my regular gynecologist for free under my current coverage, and honestly, I just want someone who will take my situation seriously and be compassionate about it, because it isn't normal to be dealing with these recurring symptoms every single month or two...

Please, if you have a good recommendation, let me know... I don't care if it's a private practice; I am more than willing to pay for the exam and the tests just to finally get this resolved...

Where can I go to get medical advice and an exam immediately?

Thank you so much 👋

Word on Savoy Street is that the guy at Supernova is out on sick leave. That's the latest, I guess.
I went to see Dr. Miller at the same clinic, and honestly, he’s a pretty decent guy. Super polite, I guess.👍

I went to see him, and I have to admit, I didn't exactly walk away with a glowing impression. Don't get me wrong—the man is clearly a professional and knows his stuff—but he wouldn't stop rambling nonsense during the examinations. Worst of all, he treated me like I was ten years old, acting as if I’d never even heard of a dosage before! 🙄

Well, alright then—to each their own, I suppose. Taste is entirely subjective. 🙂

Who on earth has stepped into Tarlea's shoes at the student union headquarters now?

I just caught up on this replay...

My dermatologist made a call and referred me straight to a gynecologist.🙄

Just cover your ears, you absolute parasite...:2up:

Why won't you actually answer the question? It’s easy to play the critic when you don't have an answer yourself.

How would you even know if an ultrasound is necessary, let alone bloodwork, or how you'd interpret those results once they actually land in your lap?

How can you even know if she needs an ultrasound—not to mention blood work—and how would you even make sense of those results once they actually come back anyway???

I'm pretty sure she already said her dermatologist was the one who sent her in for the ultrasound. 🙂

Young, fit, charming, and smart? Please. Since when did we start checking boxes like we’re shopping for a used sedan at a local dealership? Give me a break! Who even decides these things anymore? It’s all just superficial nonsense! 👍

Ugh, I’m heading to see Dr. Gudelj too... 👍 👍

Mark Howard59 said:Hey guys, I need a recommendation for a solid GP. I’m honestly fed up with these doctors who charge hundreds of dollars per visit and still don't tell you anything useful. I feel fine right now, but I need to get my annual checkup out of the way.😢

You should see Dr. Mato Tarle over on Drašković Avenue (it's right across from the ER entrance; I can't recall his exact office number off the top of my head).
That doctor actually saved my child during my pregnancy. Beyond being a physician, he acts like a psychologist—not that it's an official title, but that’s just how he treats people. He really helps you through things, explains everything clearly, and there are no vague details left hanging; you can ask him absolutely anything.

He even handled my blood work (specifically checking my glucose levels) and swabs without any fuss.

The man is a straight-up genius. If nobody else is going to build him a monument, I certainly will. He is worth every single penny.

they refused to actually call themselves a psychologist😁

just kidding, mostly... you probably meant they aren't a pro by trade, but they’ve got that natural knack for handling patients, right?

man, I seriously love doctors like that...🙂

I’m being a little cheeky here—you probably meant he isn't a psychologist by trade, but that he just has a wonderful way with patients.

Honestly, those are exactly the kind of doctors I gravitate toward.🙂

Precisely.
That man is truly a flawless physician. He is so incredibly calm, so deeply reassuring... I honestly struggle to find the right words.

Isn't the simple fact that I am profoundly grateful to him enough? Because of him, I actually have my child today—meaning they didn't lose them in some prestigious hospital in downtown Chicago.🙄 🙂

So, if I’m getting this right... the top-tier clinic we're talking about is Mayo Clinic?

rustymoose54 said:So, let me guess, the "top-tier" clinic you mean is Petrova?

Actually, no. I gave birth there myself and honestly, my experience was nothing but positive. Seriously, we’re talking about the main hospital downtown and the chief of the high-risk maternity ward (not just some general pathology unit, but the specialized department for managing complicated pregnancies).

Unfortunately, I know all too well what "high-risk pregnancy" entails...

Glad to hear your experience didn't involve Mount Sinai.

As for me, I have nothing but praise for Mayo Clinic and my delivery experience there.
I honestly feel I was able to give birth with such dignity—I felt like a real human being.😁

I know, I was trying to say "that bad experience you had"...

I haven't even made it up to the factory yet—not even close. It’s probably a good thing you’re singing their praises, though...🙂

I haven't even made it up to the maternity ward yet. It’s a good thing you’re praising them. 🙂

Look, if you walk into a hospital absolutely fuming at the world, convinced everything is going to go wrong, then it probably will.
As for me, I’ve messed around with the staff, I’ve screamed, and at one point I actually ended up slapping a doctor... but honestly, the most important thing was just how they treated me.

Because when you really think about it, what good are marble floors and gold-plated bed handles if you're being delivered by a dragon and a pig?😉

well yeah, obviously they were gonna be nice to you after that—once you proved you weren't backing down from anything...

Once you set that boundary and showed them you weren't going to cave under pressure, everything shifted. It’s funny how people suddenly find their manners when they realize they can't push you around!

Yeah, I ended up knocking him out with a heavy object I had tucked away in my "super Billy" bag... and then I actually threatened my oldest sister with a knife.🙄
