ema ema said:I am honestly so embarrassed, but I really need some help here. I'm 26 and I have never actually been to a gynecologist before. I don't know how to deal with this shame—I know they see stuff like this every single day, but still, I'm desperate. I have no idea who to go to; I just know I’m not going to Dr. Harny, and I'm terrified he'll just yell at me. Help me.

Just head over to Dr. Husar’s office in downtown. He is fantastic—never judgmental, never panics... and he definitely won't yell at you.👍 I’ve had such a great experience with him that I completely lost that awful anxiety I used to feel whenever I had to make a gyno appointment. If you need his number, just ask.

Look, I only signed up here to talk some sense into you—honestly. I know plenty of women who didn't even see a gynecologist until they were well into their thirties... some didn't go until they actually found out they were pregnant. It’s really not the crisis you think it is. Just go get the checkup, because imagine how much more stressful it'll be when you're thirty or older

Listen, don't let fear hold you back; honestly, believe me when I say they couldn't care less about why you didn't show up before or any of those old excuses... what truly matters is that you make your choice and do it sooner rather than later, purely for your own sake!

Hmm... just scheduled my routine checkup with the OB-GYN. Then it hit me—it’s the exact day before my period starts. Does that actually matter for the exam?

Supposedly, this should occur somewhere toward the midpoint of the cycle.😉

So, I should probably push it back. She’s tied up this week, and the following one hits right during my period...

Well, apparently... they claim the middle of the cycle is "ideal" for a Pap smear.

Honestly, once you get in there and see the results, if there’s anything else flagged, just go ahead and ask for swabs—they tell us we’re entitled to one free screening per year, though personally, I’ve never actually been tested for it and they always just brush me off saying everything looks fine, but now I’m starting to have my doubts... It feels so stupid that we’ve had to wait this long for clarity, so please, just stand up for yourselves. If you have to play a little dumb and claim you're having some kind of discharge, or maybe pretend you aren't seeing the same guy anymore because your ex was a cheater, just do it. Anything to get checked at a clinic like Virogen or somewhere else if the social services department is being difficult. Just get yourself tested so you can finally sleep easy at night. Best,

Megan Lopez4 said:What exactly are we looking at here? I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Was there something specific you wanted to talk about? Wait, is there actually more to this? Like, is there something else lurking in here that I'm missing?

Wait, I’m lost... what are you even talking about? I don't get your post at all.
Megan Lopez4 said:Word on the street is they only let us take one of those per year. Just one. Is that for real? Seems a bit stingy, doesn't it?

Are you actually trying to say you have a right to... what, exactly? Like, seriously? Just throwing that out there without any context? It’s kind of a bold move, don't you think? Just standing there, making claims like that, without even finishing the thought. What does that even mean in this situation? Is it about being entitled, or are we talking about some actual, legitimate claim to something? I guess it depends on how you look at it, doesn't it? Just a thought. Everything. One vacation a year? Seriously? Is that really enough to keep anyone sane in this day and age? I mean, sure, if you're just looking to check a box and say you "saw some things," maybe one big trip every twelve months does the trick. But for me? It feels like barely scratching the surface. You spend half the time planning it, another chunk of time actually traveling, and then you’re back to the grind before you’ve even processed what happened. One shot at escaping the daily loop once a year... feels a bit thin, doesn't it?

Thanks so much,😘 yeah, could I get the number? I’d really appreciate it.

Hi everyone.
I used to think I had an excellent gynecologist, but that was only true when my results were normal.
A few days ago, I went in for an exam because of heavy discharge and three warts.
He rushed through the appointment, dismissing everything as just some minor inflammation. When I asked about the warts, he told me there was nothing to worry about, said he had to catch his flight, and told me to come back in nine months!😲
The problem is that these things grow, and I am terrified of waiting that long for treatment.🙄
When I actually asked him for a recommendation so I could get this handled, he just said, "You know everyone is at the beach right now," and asked why I was stressing over a few little growths.🙂
What kind of response is that? What kind of doctor behaves like this?👎
I had originally booked an appointment at Mount Sinai, but after reading this entire thread, I’ve decided against going there.
Tomorrow, I’m going to try to schedule something at Mayo Clinic.
Does anyone have advice or experience dealing with warts?😕
How long does it typically take to get rid of them?
Help.🙏

DR. IVAN FISTONIC. He also has his own private practice over on Preradovic Street.

Ronald Hernandez15 said:I honestly wish I could take back what I said before—specifically about Dr. Maja G. over at the Harni Clinic, whom I actually praised in an earlier post. Look, she’s fine if you’re perfectly healthy and just need a routine physical once a year to check a box. But if you have even minor complications, or frankly, if you feel like your life is actually on the line? Run. Just run. My urine test showed some things that aren't exactly "nothing," yet my regular GP can't believe they were missed. $200For the amount they charge for a consultation, she won't even pick up the phone to explain what's happening. She just leaves prescriptions for serious medications sitting at the front desk with a nurse who seems more interested in being polite than being helpful, and then the nurse suggests you "just take everything nicely" and wait six weeks for another appointment before you can actually talk to the doctor.😕 Honestly, she should probably look into a career in veterinary medicine—it clearly takes too much effort for her to explain things to humans, so maybe animals would be more her speed.
Bottom line: I am officially done with Harni.😠 😠 😠

I saw her last week and she was super sweet, though maybe a little... off? A bit dull, I guess. But after reading this 😲 I'm starting to second-guess everything... 😢

Maybe that’s exactly why you need to go to those kinds of disgraced doctors. They’ll definitely be more careful after a mess like that, right?

We went to college together, and let me tell you, she was one of those students who actually gave a damn. Seriously, top of the class material. While the rest of us were still passed out in our dorm rooms 😁, she was already sitting through lectures. She wasn't a cheater, either—she did things by the book. She’s always been quiet and kept to herself; that's just how she is. As for these American tabloid outlets waiting like vultures to tear someone apart? It’s pathetic. Total disgrace to what actual journalism is supposed to be.🙂
