I hear you. The pain is already intense, and even after that first pill, it barely hits the mark—so I end up needing another. Then, as if that weren't enough, the cramps and diarrhea kick in. It gets to the point where I feel nauseous, and if I throw up, I lose the medication too. 😢Ugh. Usually, I show up to work feeling absolutely dead, drugged out, and completely stiff.

Michael Jones23 said:I’m actually the complete opposite. I used to pace around or jump around, though that was a lifetime ago... more often than not, just propping my head up on a pillow and keeping my hips elevated does the trick. It looks ridiculous, I know, but it’s the only way to take the edge off the pain.
.

That’s exactly what I used to do—either that or sitting on a chair and pulling my knees right up to my chest. When the cramps were really hitting hard, I’d reach for half a bottle of Advil or maybe some Aleve. Since I don't indulge in painkillers all the time, even a little bit went a long way. Nowadays, I’m on birth control, and honestly, it makes the pain almost non-existent.

PS: For me, applying a cold compress to my abdomen helped more than heat. Usually, the cold felt much more soothing.

Honestly, those are basically the only three or four days a month where I can actually feel like a woman...

PS: Putting a cold hand on my stomach helped too, mostly cold rather than warm...

Hands around my stomach help me too, especially his. The pressure makes it easier... and honestly, sex helps relieve the pressure even more.😍

I’ve been thinking quite a bit lately about how we perceive stability in our lives—that elusive sense of having everything "settled." We tend to view adulthood like a finished architectural blueprint, something rigid and unchangeable once the foundation is poured. But if you look at most successful careers or even long-term relationships, they feel less like a concrete slab and more like a living ecosystem. It’s constantly shifting, breathing, and reacting to external pressures. Take the way people approach their finances or career paths here in the States. There’s this societal expectation that you pick a lane—say, accounting or nursing—and stay in it until retirement. It’s the professional equivalent of driving a train on a fixed track. While there is certainly comfort in knowing exactly where the rails are headed, there’s an inherent risk in that predictability. If the tracks are damaged by an unexpected economic shift, you have very little room to maneuver. I find that the most resilient individuals I know are those who maintain a certain level of intellectual and professional fluidity. They don't just build a single pillar; they build a network of supports. It’s much like how a major corporation like Microsoft or Apple doesn't just rely on one product for decades; they pivot, evolve, and absorb new technologies to remain relevant. They understand that standing still is often the fastest way to fall behind. It isn't about being flighty or lacking direction, though. That’s a common misconception. True flexibility requires more discipline than rigidity does. It takes a great deal of foresight to prepare for transitions that haven't happened yet. It's about building a toolkit rather than just learning a single trade. In my experience, the goal shouldn't be to find a permanent destination, but to develop the capacity to navigate whatever terrain happens to be in front of us. kaže:
I have to admit, there’s something incredibly soothing about having hands wrapped around your waist—especially his. It provides this grounding sense of security. And honestly? More intimacy is just as effective at relieving that kind of tension. It’s like a physical release valve for all the pressure you're carrying.😍

To be honest, I didn't really enjoy the experience. Aside from some abdominal discomfort, I was dealing with significant pain further down as well. 😳

Man, today is absolutely wrecking me, for real. I popped some Ketonal 2 and felt zero effect. Honestly, I wish I could just lie down and rot for a bit, but we’re renovating the apartment right now so there's no way I can sit down for even five minutes... finally finished though... and now I'm just chilling

Alex White here. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and I guess I just wanted to share some thoughts. Maybe I'm overthinking things, but it feels like we're all just trying to find our footing, you know? It's not always easy. I mean, sometimes everything feels a bit overwhelming, and that's okay. I think we should all try to be a little kinder to ourselves. Just an idea, I suppose. Anyway, I'll stop rambling now. kaže:
I mean, my hands feel so heavy around the stomach area, especially his. It honestly helps relieve that pressure. And I guess having more sex helps ease that tension even more, too.😍

It doesn't really hurt me, I guess. So, maybe my dear won't have to deal with me being such a headache during those days. 😢

Before my first kid, my period cramps were pretty much mid, but honestly, while I was on the pill, everything was smooth sailing since the pill is basically 🙏 for me, but man, once I stopped taking them, it was absolute chaos. It’s always that second day that hits me like a freight train, just pure misery, though I found that keeping my stomach warm and getting into a kneeling position—head down, hips up, with my man's hand resting on my belly—really helped 😍. On those days, I also make sure to eat way less than usual because that actually made the biggest difference for me. I'm breastfeeding right now so my cycle hasn't returned yet, but I am seriously curious to see how it's going to go this time around. I've never dealt with PMS at all, I'm totally chill before my period, no bloating or anything, but that second day of the actual cycle is just 😱

I remember reading in a women's magazine—though I can't quite recall which one—that taking fish oil might help prevent menstrual cramps. It also suggested that women should try cutting back on dairy, claiming it creates some kind of acidity that intensifies the pain.
I haven't personally experimented with the fish oil, but since I started reducing my milk intake, my periods have definitely been less painful.
Perhaps you should give it a try...

I haven't tried the oil thing, but ever since I started drinking less milk, my periods haven't been as painful.
Well, you should give it a shot.....

There are plenty of these little "hacks" floating around. I know staying hydrated and keeping carbs low is supposed to help. Then there’s the heat, lying with your head down, or elevating your hips. Light stretching or exercising before the pain really kicks in can help too. Yoga works for me... but once the pain spreads, all bets are off. At that point, it's just swallowing pills and praying they kick in fast enough.😢 🙂

Look, I’ve been sitting here staring at my screen for twenty minutes trying to figure out if anyone else actually sees what’s happening, or if I’m just losing my mind—and let me tell you, I am *not* losing my mind. It is so incredibly obvious that the whole system is basically just one big, messy joke at our expense. Like, seriously? You expect us to just sit here, nod along, and pretend everything is fine while the people in charge are playing checkers and we're stuck playing some high-stakes game of survival? Give me a break. It’s the absolute audacity for me. The sheer, unadulterated nerve! They act like they have these foolproof plans—these "perfect" strategies—but it’s all smoke and mirrors. It’s all just noise meant to keep us distracted while they pull the strings behind the scenes. And don't even get me started on the excuses. Every single time someone points out a massive, gaping hole in the logic, they just pivot to some new, equally ridiculous talking point. It’s exhausting. Honestly, it’s pathetic. I’m tired of the polite debates, too. Everyone’s so worried about being "civil" and "constructive"—ugh, please! Since when did being right become less important than being polite? If someone says something completely nonsensical, why should we dance around it? Just call it out! That's what I'm doing. Call it what it is: a mess. A total, disorganized, chaotic mess. And honestly, if you think I'm being "too much," then maybe you're just not paying enough attention. I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking but is too scared to say because they want to stay in everyone's good graces. Well, newsflash: I don't care about staying in anyone's good graces. I care about the truth. And right now, the truth is looking pretty bleak, no matter how much they try to sugarcoat it with their fake smiles and polished PR statements. Get real. kaže:
Look, I’m just gonna say it—and I don't care who takes offense—but if you want to actually deal with stress, you need to stop overthinking the "wellness" nonsense and get into bed. Seriously. Whether it's hitting the gym or just venting to a friend, whatever helps you blow off steam is fine, but nothing—and I mean *nothing*—relieves pressure quite like sex. It’s the ultimate reset button. You're all wound up, stressed about work or some idiot at the office, and then? Boom. Everything else just fades out. It’s basic biology, people. More sex equals less stress. Period. End of story.😍

What kind of sick joke is this? Seriously, it’s like my body decides to stage a full-blown coup days before everything even starts—the muscles just begin tightening up and seizing everywhere—aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!🙂
Back in high school, I’d pull a full day of staying home once a month—no questions asked. There was absolutely zero chance I was stepping foot outside alone to even walk to the bathroom, let alone trekking all the way to the school building. Not happening.
Look, I’m gonna be real with you—there is exactly one thing that's actually gonna fix this mess: IBUPROFEN 600. Seriously. Don't even waste your breath looking for anything else because, honestly? It's the only way out. 🙏

Yeah, apparently omega-3 oil actually helps...

I read somewhere that there are specific exercises meant to help with THAT kind of pain.
I'm really not a fan of popping pills.

It’s only the periods that happen after ovulation that tend to hurt. Having a painless cycle doesn't mean you aren't fertile.

Light physical activity—like walking or stretching—can actually help dial down the pain.

I really try to avoid taking pills if I can help it.

In my case, the pain was actually intense enough that I would pass out, and I had to rely on regular injections just to get through. It wasn't until a recent ultrasound that I finally got some clarity on why this was happening. Since switching to a new gynecologist—who is incredibly patient, thank goodness—she explained that my uterus isn't shaped quite the way it normally should be; it's more rounded and thicker than average. Apparently, that’s the root of all these issues, and she mentioned that birth control pills might be the only real way to manage it. She also cautioned me that things might potentially get worse over time, which is a bit unsettling to consider.

Hey, so I was just sitting here thinking about that whole thing—you know, what brisknomad6 was bringing up earlier? It’s kindally wild when you actually stop to chew on it for a second. I mean, maybe I'm just overthinking things, or maybe I've had way too much caffeine, but there’s just something about the way everything seems to be shifting lately. It feels like one of those moments where you realize the ground isn't quite as solid as you thought it was, you know? I guess I'm just rambling now, but honestly, it's hard not to feel a little bit buzzed by the whole situation. It’s definitely a lot to wrap your head around, I suppose. kaže:
Easy for you guys to sit there and make jokes about my farts, I guess. Seriously though. 😁

Screw you guys, my lady bits were literally farting around like crazy two days after my surgery. 😬

On the topic of pain—seriously, if you're dealing with intense cramps or anything that feels off, I’d really recommend heading to a gynecologist for an ultrasound or something. Like, please, just get it checked out. Honestly? My post-op recovery was actually way less painful than my last period... which is kind of wild when you think about it, I guess.
