Exactly! 😬
But honestly, I think people need a little mental nudge to actually get their diet on track.

(I know this from my own experience 😁, and I bet jadesailor14 could use a little motivation like that too!)

I don't think so... you have to actually put in the work so that later on, you aren't sitting there wondering if you should just go back to eating everything in sight. 🙂

It’s like they say: 'it went away easy, but it came back even easier.'

Diet, diet, diet, diet, diet, diet, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, plus exercise—think winter swimming, summer running, maybe hitting the gym if I feel like it... 👍

Forget all that other nonsense... I dropped 30 pounds and haven't looked back since.

The simplest fix? Just stop eating dinner. Let’s be honest—hardly anyone has the discipline to stick to some strict, prescribed diet anyway. Instead, just throw in thirty minutes of cardio every day. Acupuncture isn't going to save you if you don't get your caloric intake under control. And since those sessions aren't exactly cheap, people end up starving themselves just because they have a needle in their ear... and then what happens right after? The yo-yo effect kicks in.

I went down to Bratislava for an acupuncture session with Federer, and honestly? Total waste of money. He basically just takes your vitals and grills you about your eating habits. Once you've spilled everything, he starts acting all wise, giving you "expert" advice on what to have for breakfast or lunch. Then he sticks a needle in your ear and hands you some herbal tea to sip on. Look, I already knew all the nutritional stuff he was preaching—if that were the secret, I wouldn't have gained the weight in the first place. When a chocolate craving hits, those little needles aren't doing squat. I bailed on the whole thing pretty fast. Now, I’m just being disciplined about my food, sticking to a standard US diet plan, and I’ve already dropped 24 pounds in 60 days. Forget the needles, the teas, and the pills. If you actually want to lose weight, just cut your portions in half, ditch the sweets, and stop eating after 6 PM. The weight falls off. You don't need to pay some... $50 a hundred bucks a week just to hear things you've known since you were a kid!

Look, at least with Federer you can actually eat—he’s way more reasonable than Car, who tries to keep you on a 500-calorie daily limit. Honestly, I could probably lose weight without him just by surviving on two lettuce leaves and a piece of steak per day...
As for those acupuncture needles, they don't really do much for me either🙄.

Hey everyone!
I've been seeing Dr. Car for about three months now, and honestly, I am loving the results. Since I'm moving down to Los Angeles soon, I was wondering if there are any similar specialists in the area? I really want to keep this treatment going, so if anyone has any recommendations or info, I’d be super grateful!

An acquaintance of mine once tried using acupuncture as a way to lose weight, but it didn't work out for her. More concerningly, a friend of my mother underwent acupuncture treatment for back pain and ended up contracting hepatitis from the needles, which she is now struggling to recover from. It certainly pays to be cautious when choosing an acupuncturist. If a condition can't be treated any other way, fine—but for weight loss (assuming there isn't an underlying hormonal issue), the golden rule remains constant: eat fewer calories and stay active. That is how you see results. 🙂

Honestly, I don't think you even need to cut back on calories. It’s more about how you manage them—switching from two or three heavy meals to five or six smaller ones throughout the day can make a world of difference. And, of course, staying active is absolutely non-negotiable if you want to see real results.

Has anyone here actually dealt with the woman from the office? Apparently, she’s supposedly one of the best, though there's also that lady from the Suburban Chicago area. Also, if you guys could do me a huge favor and slide into my DMs with some solid recommendations for acupuncturists you've actually had good luck with, I’d really appreciate it. Thnx

hm.. a buddy of mine actually tried that acupuncture thing, though I can't remember which clinic he went to, and honestly? He told me it was a total money pit. He did manage to drop quite a few pounds for a bit, but as soon as he finished the sessions, the weight just came right back on him.

Does this actually work? I’d love to hear about your experiences.
I've been hearing some pretty glowing recommendations regarding a doctor out in Suburban Chicago—apparently, her results are top-tier.

It’s hardly a joke,
I actually tried it myself and it worked wonders. I lost weight without having to obsessively track every single calorie, my anxiety levels dropped, and I felt like I had more energy overall.

However, I should probably offer a word of caution: the results aren't necessarily permanent. I went in for treatments for about a month. My doctor advised that I needed at least a month-long break before starting again, suggesting the effects would linger for another month or two—and for a while, that was exactly how it played out.
A few months down the road, though, the weight started creeping back on.
I really ought to have gone back for another round of treatment, but life got in the way. I dealt with some health issues related to acupuncture that ended up triggering some weight gain, so I've unfortunately found myself right back where I started.

That being said, if you're healthy, have the budget for it, and the discipline to stick to it, you can lose a significant amount of weight with fairly lasting results. I know several people for whom it worked perfectly fine.

Honestly, I shouldn't even be critiquing this—just fixing typos... by the way, regarding that little slip-up earlier—it was just a matter of moving the letter, not erasing it entirely. 😉

I realized where the joke was a moment too late 😬 , but honestly... it doesn't really matter now.

Actually, since I’ve already brought it up—a friend of mine went through the program and was incredibly happy with the results. Honestly, she looks like a completely different person; the weight loss was nothing short of dramatic...
By the way, ironsurfer8—if you don't mind me asking—what kind of damage are we talking about in terms of cost?

It’s all very easy for you people to laugh at me over a single little typo 😛
Anyway, regarding this specialist, the treatment plan is $17 and requires two sessions per week.
