Robin Diaz4 said:Actually, since I’ve already brought it up—a friend of mine went through the program and was incredibly happy with the results. Honestly, she looks like a completely different person; the weight loss was nothing short of dramatic...
By the way, ironsurfer8—if you don't mind me asking—what kind of damage are we talking about in terms of cost?

When I went there last year, they offered a specific $15 treatment. A full package of ten sessions for weight loss was $350, though I heard the prices have gone up since then.

Anyway, regarding this specialist, the treatment plan is $17 and requires two sessions per week.

So, if it's not a secret, where do you actually go?

I’m based out of suburban Chicago... if the rules allow for it, feel free to drop an address or contact info so I can reach out directly..

Now, I was wondering about the timeline for weight loss... personally, I’m looking to drop about 20 pounds... how much time should one realistically allocate to make this actually effective??

And does it truly work, and what does the process actually entail? Is it painful... or at least uncomfortable?

You aren't allowed to post that publicly; you have to send a private message instead!

What a bunch of characters!
The lady is a doctor—a general practitioner, actually—with a certification in acupuncture (just so we're clear, I'm not being a 🤣). She does these weight loss sessions twice a week.
Each session lasts about 20 to 30 minutes. She needles your temples, ankles, and knees, and then you feel like your brain is buzzing! If you're up for it, you might even get an extra needle right under your nose.
She pushes a version of the Atkins diet—basically, eat as much cooked or roasted meat as your heart desires, plus egg whites and veggies, though she bans carrots, beets, beans, peas, and lentils.
Bread, dough, sweets, fruit... all that stuff is strictly off-limits.
Then there's one day a week where you only eat vegetables.
She’s also very quick to prescribe antidepressants to people who struggle with discipline. Her logic is that carbs act like a drug, so she uses meds to calm down the "addicts," which feels a bit 😱 to me.
If you stick to the plan, the pounds definitely come off, though honestly, they'd probably drop even without the poking.
I think the needling is meant to trigger endorphins (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm feeling a little more 😵 than usual today!) so you don't feel as hungry.
How fast you lose weight really just depends on how much you need to lose; someone carrying an extra 80 pounds is going to see results faster than someone just trying to drop five.
And, of course, it depends on how well you follow the menu.
The speed at which you gain it back depends entirely on how hard you dive back into regular food once you hit your goal (wow, I am feeling incredibly brilliant today! 😬))

In my opinion, this diet isn't healthy at all, although I suppose being 20, 30, or however many pounds overweight isn't exactly healthy either.
To me, something like the UN diet seems like a much better choice, and I bet doctors would actually recommend it.
Antidepressants 😱... goodness, they aren't candy! You don't need a medical degree to realize that.

So, dear friends, if it sounds like your thing, go for it! 😁 😁 😁

Oh, one more thing!
Does it hurt? Well, that depends on the person.
She uses standard acupuncture needles that get extra stimulation from a little electric device.

Look, I couldn't help myself either. I just had to jump in.😁 😁

Don't worry about it, we all know how that's spelled... 😉

If those are the going rates, then it's actually not quite as overpriced as I initially feared...
Ugh, does it hurt? Just the mention of needles makes my skin crawl... 😱
Let’s be clear: weight loss is absolutely not on my radar; however, I might consider it if they promised it would make me quit smoking... 😬

Well, she'll probably nag you about quitting smoking too
that's $33 part of the treatment
and she says doing it three times is plenty

Honestly, it’s a non-issue for me... I’m a vegetarian and don't touch meat anyway, so if she tries to dictate what I can or can't eat, I think I can manage just fine without her constant nagging—plus, doing it on my own is actually cheaper...

I always assumed the weight loss would come naturally from the injections themselves combined with eating less, but now it seems like I might actually have to commit to a full diet too...

It’s just not worth the money.

My bad, Ali! 🤣 🤣 🤣

The only way to actually lose weight is to just cement your toilet shut! 😂
Everything else is just a tool to help you get there—it's all about how you push through to reach your goal!

It’s not even about losing weight—I’m just trying to find a doctor who actually gives you straight answers on pricing without all the runaround.
I mean, you can post a name on a forum, right? It's not like you're handing out your home address and cell number.

This has to be talking about Huber, right?
The diet is pretty strict, but man, the results are incredible. The thing is, there aren't really any portion limits—you just eat the allowed foods until you're actually full.
A friend of mine dropped 65 pounds in about three and a half months. She gained 4 or 5 back briefly, but she told me just yesterday that they're officially gone now.
The weight shouldn't come back if you transition into healthy eating slowly—that's what the program suggests, really. Once you finish the treatment, you move toward something like the Montignac way of eating.
But honestly, the most important part is that dieting doesn't feel like a chore because you feel great and you aren't constantly hungry...

Look, I’m dropping cash $50 per session, but don't get it twisted—I'm not doing this to lose weight. And honestly? It’s totally worth every penny! 👍 🙏

So, is this some kind of new diet? Have you actually lost weight?...

yeah 🙂
been going for a while? I just started—finishing up my first ten sessions.
I'm happy with it, I guess. Now I probably have to take a break, then do that follow-up checkup, and then maybe start again.
We might have even crossed paths there without realizing it. 😬

Nah, I've only had three sessions so far. And honestly, I don't recall seeing anyone really young around there.🙂 .

But hey, maybe our paths will cross down the road.😉

@jadesailor14, Krunoslav Reljanović. People have already mentioned him on here before.😍

You need his info?😉

I just had my appointment with Dr. Reljanović, and all I can say is a massive THANK YOU! 🙂 ... I have honestly never looked better. I’m actually heading to see Dr. Carter next, so I'm curious to see how things go there—I'm looking to get back in shape after giving birth three months ago.

Richard Martin8 said:Has anyone here actually dealt with the woman from the office? Apparently, she’s supposedly one of the best, though there's also that lady from the Suburban Chicago area. Also, if you guys could do me a huge favor and slide into my DMs with some solid recommendations for acupuncturists you've actually had good luck with, I’d really appreciate it. Thnx

Down at the San Jose Community Health Center, Dr. Huber-Kozinc, Vera, is actually quite decent. She doesn't pull the kind of nonsense I've been hearing about from some of the other people being discussed here. I personally had a 92-year-old client with her who managed to drop 35 pounds in just six months—but look, it’s the truth, it’s a strict regimen, and if you don't stick to the rules, everything just comes right back.
