So, I’m starting tomorrow—or maybe the day after, depending on when my Mengu arrives. Honestly, it's a bit pathetic... plus, I'm still a virgin 😎 so I'm getting myself ready... uhh... I'm actually surprised the doctor didn't insist on doing an exam. But whatever, I guess... and my bilirubin levels are high right now, so if they're still elevated in three months, I have to stop drinking 😢

quietfox17, your answer is spot on.

Breakthrough bleeding is actually pretty common with low-dose pills, especially during those first few months of use.

Most of the time, you just have to hang in there and let things settle down.

But you missed one detail:

If that spotting keeps happening after six months, or if it suddenly starts up again after you've been on them for a while, it’s time to see a gynecologist for a proper checkup and a chat.

thanks,

Getting checked out at the six-month mark is standard procedure, so you're absolutely right there.

But whatever, I'll just deal with it. Anyway, my bilirubin levels came back high, and if they’re still looking elevated in three months, I'm supposed to stop drinking, which is... well, that's the plan, I suppose. 😢

Hey, feralstag11, let me know if you end up facing any fallout from this! I mean, seriously, I’m just saying—if you start putting on weight because of it, you better give me a heads-up.😁 Look, just one pill—that’s all they say you need! Honestly, my doctor prescribed me the Loestrin, and even though the fine print says there's only a "slight chance" of weight gain, I am absolutely terrified. I mean, okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit, but I actually took those emergency contraceptive pills a few months back—and yeah, fine, I’ll admit it, I was being lazy and just used them as my regular birth control—and I ended up gaining exactly 7 pounds, no more and no less, and now I honestly feel like I look like a total pig.😲 🙄 😕

Timothy Perez10 said:Hey Bloody, let me know if you run into any issues! Seriously—if you gain even a single pound😁 ! I switched over to Logest because my doctor prescribed it, and even though they claim weight gain is unlikely, I’m still paranoid.

.. We've already covered Logest.. but, here goes.. I've been on them for three months now😍 currently I'm on my monthly break, so things feel a bit off .. No weight gain for me.. some girls swear their breasts grew (Justin Gonzalez87😁), mine were sore for the first two or three weeks, but that passed and they stayed the same size.. 😁 What I have actually noticed is clearer skin, much slower hair growth, and less oily hair... basically, that's the gist.👍

True—after three months things leveled out, though that first month was a total nightmare for me.

I haven't noticed anything else, really—no thickening, my hair grows at its usual pace, and there’s been zero change to the texture.
In short—as if I weren't even drinking them.👍

Just popped my sixth Logesta tablet in about half an hour ago. No changes to report for now; everything's fine... 😎

Timothy Perez10 said:A few days ago, I took some birth control. To be completely honest, I was a bit lazy and ended up taking the Plan B instead because I just couldn't be bothered to stay on schedule.

What's on your mind? 😕

The "morning after" pill isn't actually a contraceptive pill.

Honestly—if people were just too lazy to be careful, I’d take one of those just to deal with an unplanned pregnancy—that’d certainly kill any laziness real quick.🙄 😠

Well, based on what she wrote, it sounds like she was taking one of those pills every single day. 😕 😕 😕

She probably doesn't even realize what she just swallowed.

Those emergency contraceptive pills—the "morning after" kind—aren't exactly safe to use regularly, and honestly, I can't wrap my head around anyone making them a habit.

So, my doctor basically rewrote my prescription for the day after because we got a little carried away one night, I guess. 🙄 !And then, out of nowhere, this idea popped into my head about how I could just take them all the time after sex—like, two right away and then two twelve hours later—and on top of that, my guy could actually finish inside me! And whatever happened, happened, I suppose! Right now, though, I’m sticking to condoms; I just don't have the nerve to mess around with birth control pills anymore.😕 Rule

placidtiger15 said:Listen, I really need to get this out there because I feel like I’m losing my mind seeing people get this wrong constantly, but for the love of everything holy, the "morning-after pill" is NOT a contraceptive pill. I mean, seriously, can we please just establish some basic medical literacy here? I guess maybe some people think that because you take it after the fact, it functions like a daily birth control method, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It’s an emergency measure, a one-off intervention meant for when things go sideways, not a regular way to manage your reproductive health. I don't know, maybe it’s just how the terminology gets muddied in conversation, but calling it "contraception" in the general sense feels so incredibly misleading to me, and honestly, it kind of makes me want to scream when I see it being used that way. It's a huge distinction, and if we keep blurring the lines, people are going to end up seriously confused about how these things actually work, which is just... yeah, it's frustrating, I guess.

Honestly, if you ever actually managed to get off your lazy butt, I swear, I’d just go ahead and drop an unplanned pregnancy on you right then and there—just so you could see how fast that laziness disappears once you realize what’s actually happening. 🙄 😠

Hey, listen, placidjackal97, don't go doing that... you know, they say people learn more from their mistakes than anything else, I guess.😁

Timothy Perez10 said:I’m not quite sure what you mean by that... could you clarify?

John Thomas2 transcribed the recipe for me the next day because we got a little carried away one night...🙄 And then, out of nowhere, a blonde idea popped into my head... what if I could take those after-sex pills all the time? You know, like two right away and then another two twelve hours later? Plus, my boyfriend could actually finish inside me! I mean, whatever happens, happens, right? But for now, I’m sticking strictly to condoms... I just don't have the nerve to mess around with the pill anymore...😕 Wait, did I miss something? It feels like we're starting from scratch here...

Man, you really are a piece of work! You have absolutely no idea the kind of mess you could've caused for me. I mean, seriously, wouldn't it have been so much easier and healthier to just take one pill every day instead...

I honestly don't get how you could think that kind of practice wasn't bad. Both of my friends who had to take a pill right after ended up with such intense nausea...

Man, I just realized I need to take my pill. I usually take it at 2:15 PM, but I'm just getting to it now. It’s not going to cause any major issues because of this 45-minute delay, right? I mean, it probably won't... 😵

It won't hold—you've got about twelve hours before it's gone. That’s what the little slip of paper inside the box says. 😉

It won't—but a quick word of advice... I take mine at 10 PM every night and set a daily alarm on my phone to make sure it happens. That way, I never forget. If you rely solely on your memory, you're asking for trouble.🙄

Justin Gonzalez87, look, I know they say there's a 12-hour window, but honestly, if you take it after, say, six hours, the risk is still there. It doesn't matter what the fine print says. I've personally known people where things went sideways...

Jonathan Perez88, I do the exact same thing. My phone rang right in the middle of a conversation today and I just told them, "Hold on, let me finish this," and then—poof—completely forgot. Thank god I remembered eventually. I deal with all sorts of phobias and anxieties, just various random things... 😵

I usually take mine around midnight, right before bed. A few times I've actually forgotten and ended up taking them at 7 or 8 in the morning—everything turned out fine.
The literature suggests the risk increases if you miss that 12-hour threshold.
Honestly, who knows—best to just stop having sex altogether.😁 😉
