Listen up, if you're on the pill, remember this: you absolutely have to up your B-complex intake !

Seriously, using oral contraceptives often drains your B vitamins, which is probably why you're feeling all those symptoms you mentioned. It makes total sense.

The pill can totally wreck your levels of certain vitamins and minerals. That’s why I always tell women taking them that they really need to be looking at B2, B6, B9, B12, plus Vitamin C, E, magnesium, zinc, chromium, and selenium.

That's actually pretty interesting! I had no idea about that...

Will a B-complex alone be enough??

Back when I was Diana-35, I was absolutely out of my mind😠. I was aggressive, totally misandrist, and basically hated the entire male gender😁. Now, looking back, I can’t help but laugh at myself😁. It turns out those weren't even birth control pills—they were actually prescribed for some hormonal imbalances, and I just ended up using them for contraception👎 because that happened to be a side effect.🤣

I take Logest and honestly—I’m ready to go in like two seconds flat...

I know, I know. I just wanted to vent because my face is basically in a coma right now. I’m genuinely embarrassed to even step outside...😢 I've never felt this way before...

Look, just stick it out for two or three cycles and you’ll see things start to turn around. Honestly, whenever my face is a total disaster zone, I just douse myself in Nivea Baby powder and let it sit for a few hours. It actually helps a little bit. But for me, the real lifesavers were a lotion mixed with Clindamycin—you can get them to whip that up for you at any local pharmacy, or if you have a doctor write you a prescription, you might even snag it for free through insurance—and some Skinoren cream. I was super disciplined about it; I’d cleanse with that lotion every single morning and night, then slather on the Skinoren at bedtime (that stuff costs about $30 at the drugstore), and man, it totally saved me! You could see a massive difference in just a month.

Look, I’m currently using clindamycin. I cleanse my face with it daily, apply some Bioderma sebum cream at night, and top it off with baby powder. Nothing. Zero results. I guess I'll just have to put in the work. Maybe I’ll give that Skinoren cream a shot; apparently, everyone is raving about it.🙂

Seriously, give it a go—it was a total lifesaver for me. I remember being over at a friend's place once, and she applied it before bed, and let me tell you, by the next morning, her redness had practically vanished and the swelling was way down. I saw firsthand how much of a difference it made! 👍 Just try it and see for yourself.

She probably just started drinking, that's why.
Honestly, I never really had issues with birth control before. Back in high school, I’d get those annoying little breakouts on my forehead—nothing major. But once I started taking Yasmin, my forehead was a total disaster zone for like a week or two. Just massive pimples stacked on top of each other.
Body adjustment process😉

Hey everyone!
My doctor just prescribed Logest to me. I tried doing a quick search to see what you all think about them, but honestly, there’s way too much info out there—so I figured I'd just ask: what kind of side effects have you guys actually dealt with?
I was on Yasmin for about a year and a half, but it wasn't really working for me—I’ve been getting two periods a month lately—though, I guess I didn't really have any side effects from that one.
Since Logest seems to be a stronger pill, I'm a little worried about things like cellulite, and specifically the drop in libido 👎 which—honestly—is a total dealbreaker for me 😁
I need to start the new pack when my aunt visits from overseas in about ten days...
Any experiences?
Thanks!

Dammit, when are you finally going to realize that this is just too personal to be anything else? 🙄 Just look at Yasminke—what works for her works for a massive group of women, but clearly doesn't work for you. So, what's the move? I honestly don't get why you think anyone else's experiences on here are going to help you. At the end of the day, some women find that every single pill suits them perfectly, while others find that not a single one does. ☕

That’s right. And by the way, Yasmina isn't actually stronger than Logest; she just has lower hormone levels, which are typically the weakest. As for breakouts, you need to allow for an adjustment period. For most women, skin looks worse during the first month of taking pills than it did before they started. Just be patient and stay the course.

I find myself wondering if I’m the only one navigating this particular uncertainty, because I felt a genuine wave of anxiety wash over me today... ever since I started taking birth control about seven months ago, I’ve only experienced a truly normal period once; every other month, it seems to be nothing more than some sort of light discharge instead. Is this actually typical when you're on the pill?! I try to be incredibly diligent about my schedule, though I must admit that occasionally I miss my window and end up taking it a few hours late. Could it be that these specific pills simply aren't the right fit for my body?! Does anyone have any insight into this?*?!?

It isn’t exactly normal if you’ve been on them for seven months already. Look, it’s definitely possible for your period to lighten up while you're on birth control, but if what you’re seeing is really more like discharge than actual bleeding, it wouldn't be a bad idea to mention that to your gynecologist.

Then what was so stupid about my doctor?
When I mentioned the issues I was having with Yasmin, he told me he’d prescribe something stronger, and then he goes and writes me a script for Logest 😕

Anyway, I know everything depends on the individual and that certain pills just don't work for everyone.
Does that mean I'm not allowed to ask about other people's experiences with specific brands?
If that's the case, I'm sorry... I thought we were all here to share our experiences, but clearly I misunderstood how this works...🙄

I’m definitely going in for a checkup, but I'm just searching for some kind of explanation before the panic really starts to set in! A friend told me she hasn't had heavy periods since she started her pills, but what I'm dealing with right now... I can barely even call it a period!
Could it actually be the pills? My doctor put me on Trinovum—without doing any prior testing—which is in the same league as Diana... and honestly, you don't see people on Trinovum very often! People say they are "strong"!!

I stopped taking Yasmin back in month five (though I had been on them for about nine months total).
Around month six or seven, my legs started swelling up, and honestly, they’re still swollen to this day.🙄
Recently, I also noticed some swelling on one side of my neck, both in the front and the back.🙄
I went ahead and got my thyroid hormone levels checked, and everything came back within the normal range.🙂
My kidney ultrasound was fine, too, and I don't have any heart issues.🙂
Then, just in the last month, my hair started falling out way more aggressively than usual.😢

Is there any way these could be lingering side effects from Yasmin, even though I quit taking them back in month five?!?!?!?!?!???????????? 🤷😕😕

🙂

I’ve been sitting here wondering if using oral contraceptives might actually play a role in the development of kidney stones. It’s a nagging thought that won't leave me alone—specifically, whether this issue means I'll eventually be forced to give up the pill altogether.
