So, let me ask you guys... I’ve been on Trinovum for like five years now—totally under my OBGYN's watchful eye, obviously—and honestly, zero side effects. Everything has been great, just totally fine for all five years. But... I didn't really pay much attention to this until last month... my period (well, the withdrawal bleed during that seven-day break) has shrunk from five days down to just three. And it seems to be happening "gradually" as I get older and stay on these pills. I always take them at the exact same time every single day, which I've done for the whole five-year stretch, and once a year I do that thing where I "skip" a month to avoid my period—basically just starting the next pack right away without the break—and my doctor says that’s perfectly okay. Has this happened to any of you? Like, did your "period" window also seem to shrink?

If you ask me, I truly believe there’s no need to stress over it.

God, I’ve been noticing the cellulite since I started taking Yasmin. I honestly thought it was just my body or what I was eating, but I finally realized it’s actually from the pills.
So, how long did it take for the cellulite to clear up for you guys once you stopped taking Yasmin??

Hey everyone!😉
Since I haven’t been following this recent debate about birth control, I was wondering if you could tell me how your bodies felt after you stopped taking the pill? I’ve been on Triquilar for about 1 to 3 months now—using it for both irregular periods and contraception—and I’m thinking about taking a break. I feel like my body is already getting a bit "tired" from them, even though I don't have any major symptoms. I’d like to pause for a few months. How long did you all wait for your first period after stopping?

If possible, I'd love to hear from girls who used specifically Triquilar, but any comments are welcome!

I have a question for you all!
I was on Yasmin for about six months, but then I decided to take a month-long break—just a total pause from everything. Now that the month is up, I’m supposed to start taking Logest.
Does that mean I need to start the first pill on the very first day my period arrives??

What makes you feel like your body is tired of the pills, and why would you want to take a break after only a year?

I’ve just started taking Yasmin, and I noticed a bolded warning in the little pamphlet stating that you shouldn't smoke while on contraceptive pills—something my doctor completely failed to mention during our appointment. Now I'm left wondering about the actual reasoning behind it; why exactly is smoking off-limits when you're using oral contraceptives?

No. However, it did noticeably decrease. It is impossible to know how much better it might have looked if I had stayed on Yasmin.😱

Hey there... quick question for you all. Can I actually have sex during my pill break? Like, are the chances of getting pregnant any higher then, or is it basically the same deal as before I started the break? I’m on Yasmin and I just finished my first month. I took my last pill today, so starting tomorrow I'm officially on the break right when my period is supposed to show up... so what I really want to know is, can I still have sex without worrying about the risk before my period actually arrives? Cheers!

Of course, gotta stay protected even on break!

Just to be clear, when you say "break," do you mean taking a week off before starting the pills again? If that’s what you mean, then you can rest easy. 🙂

So, I was supposed to kick off this new pack of Logest pills last night at 10 PM—you know, take that very first pill to get the cycle moving. But, naturally, it slipped my mind. Can I just start today instead, and if I do, how much does that actually mess with my chances of being pregnant this month?
I’ve been on these for a year and a half now, and honestly, this is the first time I've actually missed a dose. 🤷
Thanks!!!

Yeah (you can start)
So, you’re actually grabbing the first 7th or 8th day?

It’s not exactly a sure thing if you missed a dose by a day.
But the plan is to just carry on with your regular routine.
Don't mention it.

It’s been less than twelve hours. Like, seriously, we’re talking razor-thin margins here, but yeah—it hasn't even hit the twelve-hour mark yet.
Look, if you're already seven days into your break, then honestly, it’s probably not even worth stressing about. I mean, at that point, it’s basically a non-issue, right? It’s like, just let it go.

My period started on Sunday. I took the last pill last Wednesday.
It’s been a full 24 hours, not just some twelve-hour window.
Oh yeah, I’m currently on day eight of my cycle.

Sorry, I’ve been puking all over my screen for hours so my head is kind of spinning right now.😵

So, yeah, the 8th.
Look, just take the pill now, but honestly, you should probably use some other form of protection too, just to be safe.
Your birth control is probably still working fine, but I guess it's better not to play games with this stuff.
