Obviously, a child's age has nothing to do with the legal requirement to attend Elementary School. By your logic, every single student repeating a grade would be kicked out of school the second they turned 15.

I know you're struggling here, truly. But try reading this carefully: Elementary education is mandatory and provided at no cost for all children between the ages of 6 and 15...

And no, that doesn't mean every single person who turns fifteen is suddenly "expelled" from the school system. It simply means that once someone hits fifteen, attending school is no longer a legal requirement. If they want to stick it out and finish their middle school education, the door is still wide open for them.

If they decide they're done, they don't have to go, nobody can force them, and they can finally stop complaining about the government making them sit in a classroom.

The guy just doesn't want his son to wear a mask for two minutes; it feels like he's just being difficult for the sake of it.
If someone is dealing with serious medical issues, a doctor would probably write them a note from the CDC or something saying they shouldn't wear one.
Everyone else can probably manage.
And this whole "shaming" thing after wearing a mask for just two hours... maybe it's even psychological.😉

A two-minute walk down the hallway somehow morphs into six hours of being stuck in class. It’s funny how that works, right? If there's one thing we've actually managed to learn over the last 18 months, it's that restrictions only ever seem to pile up—they never actually scale back.

Mhm... so we end up stuck because moving to another county is off the table, and now they're just making a thing about wearing masks in enclosed spaces. Total repression and terror, honestly.

So maybe we should all just lean into being completely unrefined and act like a bunch of low-rent grease monkeys.🎉

The only reason the earthquake saved us from that lockdown was because it hit; otherwise, those restrictions would have dragged on until the entire summer tourist season passed.

But since it’s clearly a mandatory requirement for attending school, those same parents turn around and demand government intervention, child removal, blood counts, lockdowns, and all sorts of other sanctions. For someone who simply voiced what the majority of people actually think, it's quite something. Such a hypocritical society.

What exactly are you basing that claim on?

More than fifty percent of the adult population in America got vaccinated—are you seriously suggesting they all "think" these measures were useless?

How many of that 50% actually vaccinated to protect themselves? That's the whole point of a vaccine...

And how many did it just so they could live "freely"?

I think the answer is obvious...

That’s quite an analogy, much like how Andrej Plenković argued that the referendum for joining the European Union was effectively a vote in favor of adopting the euro.
The issue isn't the mandates themselves, but rather the masks being used in schools.

If you're sure about that, then do us all a favor and reach out to the moderators to clear things up.

It seems like a lot of people are operating under the assumption that the current school year is the primary focus here.

It isn't just an opinion; I am certain their children wouldn't be wearing masks in schools if given the choice. And those parents themselves wouldn't mind either, at least for the vast majority.

Does anyone know if a manager actually has the legal authority to demand vaccination status from their employees? Since getting the shot is still voluntary, I'm wondering where they get the right to ask.

Thanks🙂

Honestly, I wouldn’t want to wear a bra either; they just chafe and feel so restrictive.

That’s exactly the point: nobody actually enjoys wearing a mask. People have complied simply because they’re rational and understand how rules work, but that doesn't mean they actually like it.

I find it absolutely hilarious how the anti-mask crowd acts like they’re some kind of special, delicate little flowers just because they feel more comfortable without one.

Not at all.
It’s a bit like when someone asks a question they aren't entitled to ask; if you point out that they lack the authority to even inquire, you're essentially highlighting that their attempt to bypass privacy boundaries was invalid from the start. 😉

True, though I suppose nothing is explicitly written down. And honestly, maybe that’s exactly what he’s looking for—that lack of clarity.

Sure, masks make sense for adults. But forcing them on kids? It’s pointless and honestly does more harm than good. It feels like it's being pushed on them purely for political optics.

You just have to tell the CEO that they aren't a medical authority if they're going to toss around info like that. Then just end the conversation.
And since they aren't an actual medical professional, they don't even have the obligation to keep sensitive health data private.

The topic was masks.🙂
LB somehow managed to link that to vaccinations. Either a bad attempt at trolling or just total reading comprehension failure.

But this isn't just about some casual verbal exchange, either. He's explicitly demanding that people include their full names alongside that specific data in an online survey he posted on the digital staff lounge by Monday.🤷.

Getting ready for the mandatory employee vaccination checks. As I mentioned before, I am not a medical authority. I simply cannot block anyone from entering the school without a legal basis to back me up. All that business with the COVID passes was completely unlawful.

Look, let's be real here. When you get to adulthood, everything you do—every single choice you make—is entirely on you. You're acting of your own free will. At the end of the day, who else is going to call the shots? Not them. It’s all down to personal agency.

Taking kids by the horns like that and stripping away their right to a normal childhood and a decent education? That’s got nothing to do with common sense.

It’s honestly a disgrace.
