Hey everyone, do people who've been vaccinated against the CDC virus have to go into isolation? From what I gather, they don't, but does that rule apply to anyone else living in the same house?

In my case, they told me zero days; if I felt fine, I could head straight to work. For someone else, they might order them to stay home. It’s all pretty arbitrary and based on individual guidance.

I’m actually in the exact same boat as the other user here. Someone in my house tested positive, and our last contact was about 3 or 4 days before they got their positive result. I let my doctor know the same day we found out, and she told me I need to isolate for 14 days. Now, logically, it would make sense for those 14 days to start from when we were last in contact with the infected person, but nope... she's logging my medical leave as 14 days starting from the date of the test itself. 🤔 I don't have any symptoms at all, so I'm wondering if I really have to grind through the full 14 days (counting from the household member's positive test), or if there's a chance it could be shortened if I tell my doctor I feel totally fine? Also, would Medicare give me any grief regarding my disability payments if they see I didn't stick to those 14 days mentioned in their guidelines? My leave code isn't listed as isolation, but rather "exposure or contact with other illnesses."

their shot only protects THEM, why aren't they required to isolate when a family member tests positive?
Is this just some kind of moralistic spite directed at everyone who isn't vaccinated? Like, "Oh, you didn't get the shot, so we're going to make SURE you catch it"
even if you're following all the rules, being careful, and EVEN IF you have medical conditions that prevent you from getting vaccinated in the first place?

I’m currently in isolation, so I called my kid's preschool to see if someone else could handle the drop-offs. They told me the other person isn't allowed to bring the child in because they were just with me while I was isolating?! 😵 I tried explaining that I don't have anything—it's just a case of contact of a contact. Apparently, that doesn't matter. So, I call the school nurse, hoping for some actual clarity, and she tells me we just need to wait two or three days before someone else can step in. Wait, what am I waiting for? I haven't been near anyone sick for a week, and I've already been in isolation for four days. Once those two or three days are up, I follow up with her, and her response? "Well, start counting from today." 🤣🤣 So, basically, the clock starts ticking from the moment I made the phone call 🤦 🙏.

When I caught that virus, my wife was totally fine to head straight into work without needing to quarantine, all thanks to being vaccinated.
The only catch was she had to wear a mask while she was indoors at the office.
And yeah, that was following the exact instructions from the CDC official who reached out after my test came back positive.
