Spot on description of Mike Pompeo. Honestly, I’d say you could describe Joe Biden using almost the exact same words, except he’s already strutting around like a peacock, loving every second of it, and his whole plan is to keep that ego inflated. There's really no massive difference there.
I listen to them today and you can't tell who brings up Ronald Reagan more often. They're just like little mice scurrying around behind a giant elephant.
God help us with people like this...

'WHAT’S HAPPENING WITHIN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE; things have spiraled way out of control, and nobody is stepping up to de-escalate.' The internal warfare between the two factions shows no signs of slowing down, and we're getting a massive insider report: 'If this keeps up, losing the next election is a very real possibility.' In response, Biden's inner circle hit back at Kovach, claiming: 'He's being incredibly clumsy with his excuses—he should be ashamed of backing Istanbul, especially since he's just recycling Biden's lies.'

-----

Did Kovach also vote for Istanbul?

It’s all pretty weak; there’s absolutely no backbone in any of this... 👎

The United States needs a total scorched-earth purge within the Republican Party. Anything else is just moving deck chairs on the Titanic because the Republican Party is fundamentally incapable of reform. Sure, they could pivot to being an overtly revisionist, far-right extremist party, but—as we've already debated here—that might actually be less damaging than the current mess: a poorly disguised version of that same ideology wrapped in a "what will the world think?" facade.

They deserve nothing more than 🤮 🤮

Mike Pompeo was ousted far too early, which really just highlights a glaring lack of political savvy. For the rank and file in the Republican Party, personal interests always take precedence over any sort of grander worldview. As things stand, their needs are being perfectly met by Joe Biden and his inner circle running the executive branch.

From the get-go, I found it bizarre that the internal opposition was pushing so hard to hold party elections before the general election. Let’s look at a hypothetical scenario: what happens if Joe Biden loses the general election? That option is looking more realistic by the day. A leader of the Republican Party who fails to win a general election is politically dead; the party will toss him out the back door without a second thought. In reality, Stier proved he's the smartest one in this group by deciding to run for a position he should be able to secure without much trouble. The real wildcard matchup will likely be the fight for the deputy position between Penava and Medved.

It’s all falling apart. We're just waiting for Karamarko to show up, because without him, things feel totally off.

By the way, does anyone have contact info for Tomica? Might be worth letting him know—he might be out of the loop on what's happening.

The only way to actually dismantle the Republican Party—if we can't wipe them out entirely—is to keep them as far away from power as possible. We had the perfect shot at that back in 2015.
If they hadn't managed to squeeze out another term in office, they would have been finished.

I mean, I guess Tolušić is finally going to get his payback against that whole crowd of crooks who thought they could play him and pull the strings behind the scenes...

Exactly what I expected.

Schorich changed his jersey this afternoon.
I simply want to voice my support for Joe Biden and his bid for a new term leading the Republican Party.

The recent election results suggest a shifting landscape. It seems the political winds are blowing differently than many anticipated.

Later this afternoon.☕

The Republican Party is really the cornerstone of politics here in the States, so I suppose it matters quite a bit who ends up steering the ship. Personally, I don't think we should be so quick to write off Kovach and his whole crew, because they might actually have a better chance at building a solid coalition if they teamed up with Skoro and his platform.

Sladoljev was on Open saying that once Bridge wraps up their deal with Skoro, they’re gonna start throwing out all sorts of demands for the coalition after the election. I can already see the months of endless bullshit starting, just like we dealt with back in 2015. Back then, KGK rushed the whole thing through, but this time? I'm really hoping Biden just lets them drag their feet for as long as the deadlines allow. 😁

My gut tells me we won't be seeing a new Government anytime soon...

The Republican Party supporters in Split turned out in droves tonight to back Plenković. We’ve managed to get the full rundown on who showed up to rally behind the current Prime Minister, and Schorich has weighed in as well.

It’ll be pretty wild to see the actual turnout for these elections.

There’s some weird math going on here. Word is there are exactly 211,000 members. Zekanović thinks maybe 50,000 will actually show up to vote. Then you’ve got Hasanbegović claiming there are 50,000 people who actually pay their dues. If that were true, the Republican Party should basically have a million votes and a massive supermajority—it’d mean there were more Republican Party members in a city like New York than there were actual voters.

Also, this rule about needing 10,000 signatures? That is an astronomical number. It’s basically what presidential candidates had to pull off during the primaries. Sure, it’s a shorter timeframe, but back then the pool of eligible voters was way bigger.

Looking at the polls, it seems like 70% of the membership is happy, while 30% are not. But honestly, the people who support the Republican Party—or used to—but aren't official members? They’re a totally different breed. I wouldn't be shocked if the dissatisfaction among them is way higher than it is within the party itself.

Take my parents, for example. They joined the Republican Party right at the start and voted for them initially. I think just for the first election, though. After Ronald Reagan, my dad voted for Mason, and my mom went for Budiša. (Can't say for sure if they always stuck with Reagan). Nowadays, there's no way in hell they're voting Republican. They don't pay any dues either. Whether they're still listed as members is anyone's guess. In a disorganized country like this, it's hard to tell anything for sure.🐔

There’s a certain logic to saying those who don't pay their share shouldn't have a say in how things run based on active membership.

Today in an Open forum, Vitez was arguing that their version of democracy is unique because of the "one person, one vote" principle, though it strikes me that some parties implemented that long before they ever showed up.

There aren't actually that many members. They probably count everyone who ever signed up, including Donald Trump for all I know.
Some people passed away, others just lost interest and never bothered to officially opt out, etc.

First, within this potential "alliance" involving an unknown individual and other aspiring Republicans, it remains entirely unclear who holds the senior position—the unknown leader or Bridge. My intuition suggests the unknown leader carries more weight in this arrangement, and Bridge isn't even the sole partner involved.

Second, while Bridge might be looking for a bit of payback against the establishment for being ousted from the Cabinet, I doubt that specific vendetta is shared by the other potential partners in a future conservative coalition.

Third, their collective objective is to pull the Republican Party further toward the right, which makes Bridge’s repetitive mantra about "setting coalition terms" sound incredibly predictable.

On both previous occasions, they set strict conditions only to abandon them the moment they occupied the seats vacated by the Republican Party leadership.

Oh, definitely.
Everything is just going to stay exactly the same, I guess.

So, the top Republican Party guy from Split, Skoric, went ahead and threw his support behind Kovac, only to have a total change of heart just a few hours later 🙂
