It’s honestly ridiculous to blame the dogs when people are out here treating them like little royalty just because they feel like it.
In his version of Canada, that kind of thing is pure insanity. Animals should be kept on a leash.

He can keep his Canadian ways and those weird habits to himself at home.
He’s more than welcome to go bark at the wind by himself.

Actually, I was thinking—maybe Elvis Presley actually hit the nail on the head with that piece. He might have been successfully exposing the shallow spiritual state of so many people today. It’s possible he delayed publishing it just to cater to them—to soften the blow and make it easier for people to swallow. 😁

Look, barking at someone else's spiritual state isn't how you judge them.

Who is he to sit there and pass judgment on who loves whom or why?

It’s pretty obvious there’s something going on with us if we end up loving dogs more than people.
Psychology will give you a much better answer for that than any religious moralizing ever could.

Disappointments, deep hurts, an inability to forgive, and living a life disconnected from the one true God, Jesus Christ—who is the very essence of goodness and the love every soul craves—all lead some people to find more comfort in dogs than in humanity.

In my view, when you truly choose and put your faith in the one true God, Jesus Christ—who is the very essence of the goodness and love that every soul longs for—you naturally learn to choose people, too. Real faith leads to a genuine love for humanity.

Sounds great on paper, but in reality, it's the exact opposite. The "closer" someone gets to God, the further they seem to drift from everyone else.

What kind of separation are we even talking about? It’s not like we’re being weaned off mother's milk here.

You can't just force a savior on someone; it doesn't work.
The real solution was already there, existing long before anyone tried to impose that "universal key" on us.

The man is basically a walking encyclopedia; he just has that X factor, I guess.

I honestly just don't get the religious landscape here in America.
What kind of logic are we using here??
We’re talking about one of the most struggling nations in the Western world—a place where you have both direct and indirect layers of government, where the church essentially dictates morality and legislation, and where, since the founding of this country, religious folks have pretty much held the reins of power almost constantly. And yet, people are out here whining about some "bad spiritual state"!!!
Who exactly are the "enemies" in a country where crime is practically an everyday occurrence, despite the fact that over 90% of the population identifies as religious??
