My credit card to be high risk status just nuked my ability to use Cash App. Unfair? Totally.

Right now, payments to Cash App aren't permitted through our service. Basically, you can't use your card with this specific merchant.

They're claiming they flagged these types of transactions as high risk. Apparently, they did some "careful review" and decided I'm a security threat. Right.

If they could just knock it down to like, two bucks, I’d be paying with Cash App in a heartbeat... Though, you know, I really think the future is all about free payments through service apps. Imagine if everyone—like AT&T or even the local water department in Indianapolis—just integrated it like that. That would be the dream, wouldn't it?

Venmo actually has $0.75. Plus, for some utilities, they even make it effortless since the bill pops up right in the app.

Honestly, I can't wrap my head around the chaos of having ten different apps—one for every single service—just to keep things "free."
Right now, I’ve got some bills sitting in my Chase mobile app (with copies sent to my email), while others show up strictly via email, forcing me to play detective just to figure out which one is which and how to pay them.
It's already a massive headache! Imagine the sheer mental exhaustion of juggling ten extra apps just to manage basic life stuff. 👎

The bill payment service (scan&pay) is free of charge until 08/31/2022.

Where on earth is that info coming from? Because both the website and the app are still showing May 31, 2022.

It appears to be a bug within the app. If you have your language set to English, it shows August 31, 2022. However, if you switch the language to American, it displays May 31, 2022.🤦

It was exactly the same story last time. The English deadline was set for March 31st, while the American one stretched out until May 31st... But at least they decided to extend 🙂

Yeah, they’ve got the wrong info on the English version, I guess. 🤦

So, instead of offending foreigners by suddenly killing off free payments overnight, they just change the date from May to August on the American version and everyone stays happy, right? 🙂

Is there actually any real difference in how they work—between the Topps card, which is free by the way—and the standard Cash App card?

Maybe it's about whether they're accepted on Curve, or if you can use them to pay on sites like Powerball...?

I'm not really sure if the features differ much. Honestly, I just skipped getting one because I didn't want my bank statements flagging me in group chats with the chronic gamblers.

Can you actually use a Topps card from DraftKings to pay for Powerball tickets on their site?🍿

Quick question: can I move 10 bucks from PayPal over to Venmo? Specifically using their Venmo card.

PayPal offers its own cards—both virtual and physical versions. And yeah, you can easily use one to fund your Venmo account without getting hit by any extra fees

Anyone else having issues with Scan & Pay?

I barely managed to get one bill to scan, and this second one just won't cooperate at all.

I tried using the JPMorgan Chase app instead, and it read the code instantly.

Is it just me, or is anyone else dealing with this?

Even pulling images from my camera roll isn't working...

Did this just pop up out of nowhere, or has it been acting up for a while? I haven't touched it the last few days, but usually, everything runs pretty smooth...

So, I just realized.

I’m gonna dig through those old statements later to see if maybe the code wasn't printed poorly, even though the JPMorgan Chase app usually turns the code into a receipt instantly.

I didn't run into any issues either.

I paid two bills yesterday...
scanned one from paper
and the other right off my monitor

and everything went through just fine.
