You can only use the card, app, or account on one device at a time. For example, if you log in with your number or email on a second device, you’ll get automatically logged out of the first one. So, you can basically move around wherever you want whenever...

Has anyone ever used their Venmo card for international stuff—like, say, booking a hotel in the US in dollars? I'm wondering what the fees look like and how they actually calculate them. Also, does it automatically swap things over to dollars like Chime does? Because looking at my exchange settings, I don't see any option to actually buy dollars... maybe I'm just missing it.

You can't actually hold USD balances in your Venmo wallet, though you can certainly pay with them. The conversion happens right at the point of sale, but I'm not entirely sure what their specific exchange rates look like.

Says they're going by the Visa exchange rate.

It was working fine on my Apple Card a few days ago, but today? Declined several times.

Is it possible to pay a bill without a barcode, just by using the routing and account numbers?

Can I send funds directly to a PayPal account?

We’re creeping up on the end of the month, which means those sweet, sweet days of paying off bills without getting slapped by extra fees are winding down. It makes you wonder, though—once those windows close, what’s actually going to be our best bet for keeping things cheap?

Maybe using e-mail ($0.67 style) plus a Venmo card for $10... I guess that’s probably the best long-term play if you don't have online banking set up at any major US bank.

Though, honestly, I might just toss a few bills through Venmo even with that 3.5 dollar fee—just to let them make a little something so they don't get any bright ideas about adding new fees, like a surcharge for paying cash at The New York Times.

You can just settle up via a standard bank transfer if you want...

I honestly think it’s going to be total chaos with Venmo once they start slapping on those fees, because besides that, I don't see any actual point to it all.

I guess I'll just keep it as a prepaid card for online shopping, purely so I don't have to deal with setting up contracts at the bank

Look, they seriously need to offer some kind of discount for paying bills upfront. I’m not saying it has to be free, but there should at least be a 50% discount on the table. If they actually stick to the price on $1.25, I don't see myself using them—and honestly, I barely even use their other services anyway.

Hey everyone,

Does anyone happen to know how many transactions I can run through before they actually require me to verify my profile?

I don't really remember exactly when I started using Cash App—honestly, my memory's pretty shot—but I think I had to verify everything right away by snapping a photo of my ID and filling out all that info.

Anyone actually tried topping up via a direct bank transfer?

I mean, I’m not exactly itching to drop $3.50, but hey—if those bank fees keep climbing, why not? It’s honestly just so quick and easy to use. If they could just knock it down to like, two bucks, I’d be paying with Cash App in a heartbeat... Though, you know, I really think the future is all about free payments through service apps. Imagine if everyone—like AT&T or even the local water department in Indianapolis—just integrated it like that. That would be the dream, wouldn't it?
