To build on that, it’s the same here in San Francisco. Back when we were kids, we actually used to make fun of the older folks who drove their children to school. I mean, really—can they not walk?
Nowadays, people are so paranoid that I can already see a future where every single child is chauffeured in a car.
Plus, there aren't even any bike racks outside the local elementary schools. If they had some, it might actually encourage a kid to ride a bike. Or maybe the teachers would show up on two wheels, too. :-)
Unfortunately, you don't see bike racks in front of banks either 👎
