So, I finally went ahead and opened that BofA account (took them a week to call me back, and yeah, I actually had to drag myself down to a branch). Their website makes it look like receiving international wire transfers is a breeze, but then I look at the actual paperwork they handed me for incoming wires and it says it’s not even an option. Has anyone here actually tried pulling money in from overseas yet?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the maximum overdraft limit is at JPMorgan Chase? Specifically, what percentage are they allowing lately?

Anyone know an online retailer that takes JPMorgan Chase Maestro or Mastercard for installment plans?

I called the bank to get some clarity regarding my savings account held in dollars... I wanted to know what happens to my fixed-term deposit agreement if the currency shifts to the dollar—specifically, whether my interest rate stays locked in or if they’ll convert those funds at the mid-market or buying rate. Naturally, I didn't get a straight answer; they just took my number and said they'd check with their colleagues to find out.🤣

On the flip side, their online banking fees are pretty steep—looks like somewhere between 2% and 20% based on what I saw on their website.

Plus, they have this incredibly stupid daily ATM withdrawal limit for Mozart cards of just $667 if your salary is under $2000 (assuming you even bank with them).

Hey there! Is that all handled through the standard debit card linked to your checking account? Also, I was wondering if anyone here carries that Mastercard Walmart card? Thanks!

Man, this feels like it happened a century ago.

I headed over to the bank regarding a mortgage loan.

I used to have a Walmart card back in the day—what specifically are you asking?

That installment thing was handled through a debit card.

I'm really curious—did you guys ever go out of your way to ask for a higher credit limit on your Walmart card? Thanks!

I didn't even receive it.

Instead, they approved some revolving credit line I never even asked for; all I wanted was the cash advance.

I guess you could probably ask your personal banker about bumping up the limit? If you don't mind me asking, what's your current approved limit and what does your salary look like?

I moved all my direct deposits over to them about a year ago, and I’m pulling in roughly $4,900 a month. They set my starting limit at $333. I’ve got this credit card—basically my version of an American Express—but I don't really use it much unless I'm dropping some serious cash and want to pay it off in installments. That's why I was wondering if I could just ditch that card entirely and get a higher limit on my main one instead.

iPhone using Tapatalk You can, sure, up to $3000 given that salary.
It probably doesn't make sense to ditch the Premium vis to get an interest-free installment option; you won't get that kind of deal with the Walmart card.

Sure, there’s a fee involved. But honestly, you get way more bang for your buck with the Premium

I actually swung by the bank today to talk about an overdraft request, and the teller told me I could just grab one of their Mastercard options to bump my limit up to 3 grand, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on that right then and there.

I guess you might be able to swap out the payout account for a B-FREE one through Chase Online, if that's even a thing... maybe?

Nah, you gotta hit up a local branch. It'll run you $3.25 (unless you're setting up a new checking account at JPMorgan Chase, then it's free).

Has anyone taken out a loan recently at JPMorgan Chase or Addiko Bank? What kind of paperwork are they asking for? Do they still require three months of bank statements if you aren't already an existing customer there? I’m looking to pull about $30,000 over a 10-year term, but I already have a larger personal loan open at my local community bank. Also, does having a negative balance or being overdrawn affect the approval process? My current payment is $700, and my average monthly income is $8,300, so this new payment would be roughly $300 and some change.

So, about 12 months ago, I went through the whole process—I took out a loan, wiped out my old one, and moved everything over to JPMorgan Chase. They wanted three months of pay stubs, three months of transaction history, and a letter from my employer confirming my job status. And since I was paying off that old debt, they definitely needed proof of the payoff amount for the existing loan.
