Have you guys seen this yet?

Just sharing for info—it doesn't hurt to know what's going on.

I’ve already reached out to the GOOD initiative and Gong to see what they think, so I'm just waiting to hear back. My plan is to get everyone I know involved and really shake things up; I'm counting about twenty people right now who are ready to move. Most of us have been out there at the anti-government protests before when they were happening.

We're coming. Are you bringing your kids? K was with me once, but I was being super careful. We didn't even do the whole route that time because his dad picked him up near Radicev.

I tend to keep my distance from all this—I don't even share stuff on Facebook anymore because I feel like I've lost that right somehow, given how much I went through with my kid in that system—but I am rooting for you guys with everything I've got. If I were back in the States, I know I’d be losing my mind and right there in the front lines. Watching this from afar... it just hurts terribly. It doesn't affect me directly anymore, and there's nothing I can actually do, but it still hurts. And it makes me angry.

Keep pushing, don't let up the pressure!! I think this is the perfect timing (since, like someone else mentioned, it's all just piled up too high at once) and the perfect approach; they aren't just barking at the moon or demanding some government resign—which would probably just lead to an even stupider administration taking over—they're targeting specific things that have already started moving in a relatively good direction!
Wishing you guys so much luck and persistence!!

@redridge13, I’m definitely taking the younger one, just like I mentioned before. The older kid has an annual judo tournament coming up that we’ve already shelled out for, but honestly, I’m all for getting the kids involved—this is about them too, right?

I guess I messed up. Honestly, I probably should have just kept my mouth shut. If this reaches any of my Facebook friends—and there are quite a few—then it’s already done.

Regarding parenting stuff, I saw an interesting link on Facebook from Ida Prester about some protest happening in New York City (not sure what the exact cause is, I haven't really been keeping up, and honestly, everything going on here in the States is already too much to process 😬). It looks like a massive crowd showed up—maybe 150,000 people—and most of them were parents with their kids. Everything went smoothly without any issues.

Of course I'm bringing my child.
The "Cost of Living" crisis has really hit families hard, which explains why there were so many people there with kids.
From where I was standing in the front lines of the counter-protest, I’d say only about one in five people looked like adults. The rest were just kids.

We have a preschool meetup this Tuesday, so I'm definitely going to get the other parents involved.
We really need to step up and take action on this.
There's simply no excuse for staying silent.

Maybe try emailing the daycare directly and ask if they can schedule it for a Thursday or Friday instead.

Maybe try joining forces with some bigger nearby cities
or just organize something yourselves.

There are plenty of cities on the list: New York, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philadelphia, San Diego, St. Louis
someone else feel free to add more to the list
🎉

@dlapek, I’d honestly rather just delete your post (which is why I won't quote you 😬), because he clearly isn't going to figure this out on his own—it took him five whole days just to make an announcement—but his "superiors" or the school board officials might be able to help.

But hey, he's a "genius"... the reform is already running late, and he can't even string five coherent sentences together in five days.
And don't even get me started on the issue of people's paid expenses.

Man, if my hometown were closer, I’d be all over it. I just don't feel right wandering around unfamiliar territory.

Have you ever actually lived in a tiny town? Around here, the biggest event we can pull off is a parade to show off new manicures and eyelash extensions, or maybe a little outdoor prayer circle to support Marquette and her crowd... :-(

Look, I wasn't even suggesting he'd actually figure it out. It was just a thought that popped into my head, and frankly, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if something like that actually went down.

Cleveland and Columbus are organizing shuttles over to Chicago

I’ve been a bit out of the loop lately, but I did spot Mark and the Secretary of Culture grabbing coffee earlier.

Stefi, I'm not sure exactly where you're located, but I'm thinking five friends could easily pile into a car and cruise to the nearest big city.

Total old hag

Seriously though, is there even one single politician in this country who doesn't have some kind of disgusting dirt waiting to be dug up? Like, is there anyone out there who hasn't embezzled a few bucks or swindled someone over the years?
Or is politics actually just a magnet for the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel scum?

I have to share a little win from today—out of nowhere, my husband told me he’s planning on heading out to the protest, and honestly, it just made my whole day. I was actually quite surprised, because I had this assumption that he’d only bother showing up if I were right there by his side, probably after some gentle nudging from me, especially since I'm just not feeling up to the physical demands of it myself lately.

We've got our end-of-the-year class performance coming up at school, so there's really no chance for us to join any protests.

@rowdypanther12 we have that school function on Tuesday 😁 then there's the final English exam on Wednesday, so I'm just weighing my options. Should we all just head over twenty minutes late together, or should I just drop everything off with the neighbors so I can make it right on time?
