Betty Cruz2 said:Ahem. You solved that equation incorrectly. It goes like this:
1000*(1+X)10=2000
(1+X)10=2
1+x=0.2
x=-0.8

No need to thank me.😁

Actually, that's wrong because 10 is the exponent. Since we're looking at a population of 1,000 in year X and 2,000 in year X+10, I kept it that way on purpose just to see if I could bait Robert Hernandez10 into making a mistake.

My math is fine; the 10 is just an exponent everywhere.

Keep posting those links if that's the peak of your intellect. If I actually respected you, I wouldn't give you such easy tasks, knowing you couldn't handle them. I'm done arguing with you.

Thanks.

You can find it here, though I guess mine is better since it shows the specific growth rates for different ethnic groups by county...

Varjaciceva.
By the way, that Nikolic guy in that other link has zero respect for copyright.

Anyway, this whole thing stems from the Muslim lobby. Nikolic mostly gets his data from some random fanatic, and we all know you can't just use linear projections for this stuff. Take certain groups for instance—population growth there isn't linear, and it's the same story in Canada... it's the same everywhere.

There is no room for slurs or ethnic insults on this forum.
Or have we collectively developed amnesia regarding our own rules???

Check out this map:

That whole Rusyn majority thing looks a bit weird to me. When I checked out a similar map before, there wasn't a single village without at least 40-50% Slovak presence.

You have a point there. Don't get me started...

You even missed my point about calculating exponentially rather than linearly—using a constant relative change instead of an absolute one.

But whatever, since you've already decided it's "garbage," I suppose you're just as mathematically gifted as your colleague when it comes to deriving any kind of formula...

You mean this one? http://www.mtafki.hu/konyvtar/kiadv/.../Cpage_SLO.jpg

Addendum: Honestly, I don't think those people in those areas—near the Rusyn villages—are actually Slovak. It's more like Rusyns influenced by Slovak culture. Vidices knows why I'm making such a strange claim, but I won't get into it yet. I have my reasons... will explain later.

Five out of five. I'm leaning towards them being Rusin too, though if you look at the map, there aren't any areas that are strictly majority Rusin villages.

You're spinning in circles.
You seem to think you can dictate terms to people. I carry myself with more decorum than you ever could, backed by years of experience sitting on corporate boards and executive committees.

You aren't debating; you're just venting.
The fact that you can't grasp the basic distinction tells me everything I need to know about you.

A slacker is just a slacker. A lone wolf remains a lone wolf.
Show me where I ever said I was looking for any specific map—I said *any* map, not necessarily this one about Slovakia.
The slacker is just trying to bait a reaction with lies, and in this instance, he managed to pull it off.

I am waiting. I am standing by. I have nothing more to say until the information arrives. It is simple. It is direct. I will be here. Robert Hernandez10 says:
That isn't right. We are looking at an exponent of 10 here. The population in year X is 1,000, while the population in year X+10 hits 2,000. I deliberately left it that way, though. I was just trying to bait Tom Brady into making a mistake.

My math is solid. It’s just off by an exponent of ten everywhere.
I don't doubt you're a math whiz. Truly. But I can't just assume it's an exponent of 10 unless it's explicitly written out. Maybe that's why you run into misunderstandings so often. It happens.😁

Look, regarding that map of Canada—I honestly don't see what the big deal is. It’s just a straightforward projection. If that's how it was presented, I really don't understand why everyone is getting so worked up over it.

Was this you writing, or someone else? If it wasn't you, we can pull the admin logs right now to check which IP accessed your account... Just change your password immediately so people stop getting in.

If you’re claiming that, then it’s pretty obvious my map is just like yours, only in higher resolution. You basically admitted yours is too low-res. Which means you actually want it to be higher... right?

Your attitude here is honestly terrible. I know exactly why you’re acting like this—it's because we used to call you out for being a radical nationalist, and I’m an American who actually takes pride in my heritage and isn't afraid to tell you when your views are garbage. But seriously, get a grip. Don't let some historical grudge that has nothing to do with this topic bleed into the discussion. Try looking at the actual subject matter for what it is and leave that pathological hatred out of this... if you can. Either way, I'm not digging through old posts, so don't expect me to do this again.

Honestly, an apology would be nice, since I've got this Slovakia card right here... The user profile for Lilic on Wikimedia Commons... just an overview of their contributions and history on the platform. Special shoutout to you on this one. :P Love me or hate me, it doesn't matter. What matters is that people who can't control their emotions are just destructive to the forum...

Where did I ever say, "Iron Lung, please provide me with that specific map"?
The map you provided is your own version of an ethnic map of Slovakia, not the one in question. There are at least a thousand different versions of ethnic maps of the US on this thread. They are variants, not identical copies.

By twisting my words, you've convinced yourself that I explicitly asked YOU for YOUR specific version of a certain map. That simply isn't true. Since you're claiming I asked for it, you are factually lying.

The way you're reacting is just further proof of your self-delusion, since you still insist that I made that request.

And this isn't just about this one instance; it applies to most of what you've written against a patriotic American with reasonable views.

Keep your quizzes, questions, and homework. I moved past university studies a long time ago.
Are you really going to defend your amateurism by throwing "riddles" at me or anyone else?

Do you seriously lack self-awareness?
