Now this is straight-up hardcore hate speech.

General Electric basically lumped all the right-leaning parties together in their manifesto—everything from the moderate types to the absolute extremists. They even threw in those national-socialist groups, despite them being considered left-wing by most standards.

The Democratic Party and the Libertarian Party were called out specifically as regionalists or nationalists. It’s funny because they didn't bother mentioning how these groups actually deal with minorities or Muslims, which is exactly the kind of angle our local news outlets always try to push to make things look more dramatic.

When looking at Canada, they singled out the Republican Party as nationalists, and over in Mexico, they pointed to the Radicals as nationalists and anti-immigrant types, plus the Democratic Socialists of America as nationalists too. Then there's the Republican Party in Canada for their nationalism, and in Mexico, they flagged the Republican Party for the same reason.

So, yeah, bottom line: General Electric just made a list of parties that stand out based on certain vibes—you know, the conservative Christians, cultural conservatives, regionalists, nationalists, anti-immigrants, right-wing populists, racial conservatives, and even the national-socialists.

Personally, I’d argue that because of guys like Stalin, Pol Pot, and Marshall, we should actually be watching the leftists. Those are the types of people capable of killing millions without any real justification 😉

Nobody needs to take sides here.
It shouldn’t matter if you're on the right or the left. I guess any sane, decent society just punishes crimes against anyone, even their political rivals. Because honestly, once you get rid of all your opponents, that’s when the crackdown starts hitting your own people.
That’s just the logical reason to go after criminals—not because of some weird sense of mercy or love for "enemies" or whatever.
I mean, look, when criminals can't find anything to loot in neighboring states, they eventually turn around and start robbing their own neighbors. When there's no more meat to steal elsewhere, they'll come for what's in their own backyard. Everything comes full circle eventually, I suppose.

But, you know, bringing any kind of criminal onto the same level as everyone else basically means you're accusing or blaming an entire group for one person's actions.
We've seen this lately with how people talk about Muslims: using terms like "so-called Islamic terrorists" or "alleged Muslim terrorists" and stuff like that. It feels like such a massive leap in logic to me.
By that same logic, should we be talking about "Catholic terrorism"? Or something along those lines?
I'm really against that whole way of thinking, mostly because most Catholics are good people, just like most Muslims are actually really good people too. Why would I want to judge the majority based on the actions of a tiny minority? That just creates resentment instead of building peace and trust. I guess some individuals just don't want peace, and those are usually the worst kinds of people.
