Let us move past the unpleasantness of an unhappy childhood.

And mine as well.

How am I even supposed to understand why I exist as a man—where this sense of futility actually stems from?

Perhaps one day I shall realize.

For the time is drawing near—it is drawing near—it is drawing near

when the blessed hour shall arrive...

which will be Unity with Bogo

and the most beautiful Merging.

And nothing in this world could be more exquisite than when Soul, Mind, and Heart

no longer long.

I’m constantly working on myself—really putting in the hours. It feels like I’ve been waking up to this realization for years now. 😁 Whenever I start feeling that wave of exhaustion hitting me—you know, that point where your eyes just want to quit on you—I find myself reaching out for a little extra help just to stay upright and alert. 🙂
I love helping out, and honestly, I’m always more than happy to sit back and just listen to what people are pouring their hearts out about—there's so much wisdom in the soul-talk of those around you.

My computer is acting up tonight; I can't seem to get through to Alice... or the rabbit...

I saw that, no big deal... I wasn't checking (nor did I have it memorized). 😁

We'll find Alice—sooner or later. As for the rabbit, it's going on the spit... 🤣 😍

You've inspired me tonight, so I'll wrap this up with:

Wake up!

🙂 Oops!

Someone once said that those who are awake share one common world, while those who sleep are all trapped in their own private realities. 🥳

That feels like a total violation of who they are. People have to wake up on their own terms—even if it takes a while! It's not about being indifferent; it's just that, at the end of the day, we're all the primary architects of our own lives.

That is very well put.
I think there is such a thing as "spiritual violence." 😁
I've unfortunately found myself on the receiving end of that more than once—once with someone from a Hare Krishna group trying to "awaken" me, and another time with a rather militant New Age friend... 🙂

I'm right there with you. But how do you feel about all the violence shoved down our throats through TV, commercials, and the news? Honestly, I think that's where the real damage happens. The scary part is we don't even notice it anymore; we just soak it up like it's totally normal. And then we act surprised when society turns into a mess of hatred, manipulation, and depression...

For someone who is truly awake, there isn't really a distinction between dreaming and being awake. To be awake means dreaming while conscious—inhabiting your essence just as fully whether you're asleep or not. The version of "reality" most people cling to today is actually further away from the dream than the dream itself is from us.

The soul is an eternal atman, the true self—so it really can't be "diseased." Or maybe I'm just running into a terminology issue here... I guess when we say soul (psyche), we actually mean the mind? Because the mind can certainly be unhealthy if it isn't "awakened," which is to say, if it’s cluttered with nonsense instead of dwelling within the self that everyone possesses. In that sense, everyone is technically "enlightened," though some people might not realize it simply because they haven't "awakened" yet. Yogis seem to think that aligning the soul with the body is a prerequisite, meaning one has to perform these integrated physical and mental exercises to make spiritual progress, to awaken, or to realize the self. But, I don't know, it seems to me that someone who is truly "awakened" wouldn't even need to worry about the body. I mean, where does the idea that the body even exists come from? It feels like an illusion of the mind, feeling trapped within its own physical shell. In reality, as atman, we are infinite space. ☕

If the body is just an illusion, then everything it perceives has to be an illusion too, right? If I’m following that logic correctly—and I might be overthinking this—then the most vital part of waking up would be deep introspection and a total rejection of the world around us. So, first step: isolation?

It feels like spiritual assault, really. It's supposed to trigger some grand awakening, right? But let's be real—it feels more like a forced realization after a wild night out at a dive bar in Vegas.😉

Is there any way to stay conscious while dreaming?

Anyone got any recipes for that?

Kicking someone like a mule just because you think you're wide awake while they're still sleeping is pointless. If they don't react, just try something more forceful in the name of "altruism."
He'll wake up eventually.

You know that old saying, "help yourself, and then I can help you"? It’s actually true. If you don't have the desire to help yourself, honestly, nobody else can step in—it just doesn't work that way. You really have to learn how to rely on yourself; people tend to drift in and out of our lives, but at the end of the day, we're the ones who are always stuck "with ourselves"... ugh, I guess it took me a long time to truly wrap my head around that, and I suspect it'll take quite a bit more time before I truly feel "independent."

Helping someone when they didn't ask for it is actually a very subtle, sneaky way to manipulate them.☕

I mean, maybe you can help someone without them asking, but then you shouldn't be making such a huge production out of it. You know? Like, don't go ringing every bell in the house to announce "look at me, I helped," and then expect some kind of big thank you or a favor in return later on. 😉
