Thanks, this is actually pretty interesting. I bet someone's already gearing up to jump in and start a whole debate about this...

I could—but honestly, there’s enough info online to drown in. Most of it is solid if you know where to look. Just browse a few different sites, grab some guided meditations, and maybe start with Lubis Stojanovica—there's plenty of interesting stuff on his site.

First you ask the question, then act all shocked when you actually get an answer. You still have a lot to learn from the pros—you're just a little wannabe light show enthusiast

Keep this up and I might just have to shut you down myself.

The Enlightenment movement isn't about some elitist idea of "enlightenment" serving as the peak of psychotherapy, nor is it a label we slap on people who perfectly play roles dictated by specific mythologies. Rather, the movement is tied to reason—common sense—as a tool for understanding both ourselves and the world. This stands in stark contrast to drowning in irrationality and superstition, which even today serves to validate what people wish were true rather than facing reality or acknowledging the limits of human knowledge. Emotional indulgence and rational clarity act like two separate camps where battles are constantly fought, even here on this forum.

I say "like" two camps because once you reach the level of the individual—the root from which all divisions emanate—there is no conflict. Just as there is a hidden layer behind a standard URL like "www.google.com" that represents the physical backbone of the internet through various servers, the core of a human being is obscure and concealed. To reach it, one must strip down to the bone, discarding nationalistic or religious affiliations, the baggage of tradition and culture, and the prejudices accumulated through life's various attachments. In its pursuit of the individual, the Enlightenment helped facilitate this shedding of baseless traditions and fantasies.

Just wire me a hundred bucks and I'll grant you enlightenment—honestly, I don't even need the money. 🤣

It seems we had a bit of a misunderstanding, rukfas. Your subconscious is crying out for a sense of "release"—it needs to let go of traumas, sadness, stress, fears, and all those other abstract burdens we carry. Everything you write is essentially a reflection of yourself (just like it is for the rest of us), filtered through that deep subconscious layer. The ego then misinterprets this data, creating a desperate need to prove a reality that exists entirely outside of yourself. And what does that kind of proving lead to? It leads to a total lack of awareness regarding your own actions!

That message you sent to Miller was, to put it mildly, pretty rude. Are you really suggesting that people should treat you with absolute awe just because you have certain insights? It’s not like Miller is the one looking for adult content—which isn't inherently a bad thing—but rather, his subconscious is simply revealing who he truly is.

Everything you "see" is merely filtered through the lens of your own subconscious and personal perception. Is it not simply a reflection of who you are?

If your ego ends up taking the driver's seat, you are heading down a very dangerous path! I strongly advise you to give this some serious thought. A massive shift is on the horizon for you, isn't it? Ultimately, whether that change leads to success or disaster depends entirely on you!

Keep this in mind: everything in the world is actually perfectly fine! The reality we experience is merely a reflection of our own internal state. So, if we perceive something as "bad"—though that’s entirely relative, isn't it? It might not feel bad to everyone else—then that negativity actually resides within us. Isn't that right? We must look inward to find the answers we seek. Otherwise, the world remains in perfect harmony, and it becomes clear that it is only a matter of time before everyone else realizes the same thing!

As long as we find ourselves chasing external validation to prove our enlightenment—or any other internal state—something within us remains fundamentally out of alignment. Don't you think?

The Enlightenment movement used reason—actual common sense—as a way to understand ourselves and the world. It was a direct hit against drowning in irrational nonsense and superstition, which still tends to tell people what they want to hear rather than what’s actually true or even knowable.

Being intoxicated by emotion versus having clarity of mind feels like two warring camps fighting it out right here on this forum.

....it's how a person remains mysterious, deep, or just plain hidden. To actually get to them, you have to strip everything down to the bone. That means tossing aside nationalistic pride, religious ties, the baggage of tradition and culture that’s cluttered our minds, and all those biases we pick up just by surviving life. In terms of getting close to the individual, the Enlightenment helped by pushing us to ditch useless traditions and baseless fantasies.

And look at the result: mindless consumerism. A value system where money is the only thing that matters and humans are treated like nothing more than commodities.
Just a uniform, stripped-down, cookie-cutter, asexual caricature designed specifically to be consumed.

I guess it’s because the human mind is always predictably "Enlightenment-style."

Uuuuhuhuuhuu...damn all those old, wicked religions that keep repeating this cycle over and over.

Honestly, it’d be best to just wipe them all out and finally let the genie out of the bottle...(that raw, mysterious, hidden spirit...)

Whatever happens, happens...

If nothing else, at least the lonely samurai can finally find some peace...

PS.
The dark side of this "enlightened," "progressive" future is already staring us in the face;

That joke about the porn was just that—a joke. Not sure where your sense of humor went. Anyway, thanks fadedskipper52 for the critique and the concern; everything you said is spot on, and I’m well aware of it—working on it. 😉

Now you're claiming some big change is coming my way soon—don't tell me you've decided to start using your "supernatural powers" on this forum too? That would be a real step down to the exact level you claim to despise in me.

You are once again rambling about emotional intoxication, which isn't surprising given you're a believer—just like those who worship advertisements, spending, or their own perceived greatness. It is the exact same mental framework, regardless of what content you fill it with. You cling to religious imagery, someone else clings to consumerist icons, and a third clings to political ones... from my perspective, you are all identical. Like trained dogs or, as Stulic would put it, "blood puppets without a single idea."

However, we are discussing reason here, friend. Before you bark at everything I say, perhaps take a moment to assess your own capabilities; bite your tongue before you inevitably find yourself in over your head. Am I asking too much? (That was rhetorical).

Haha, honestly, you're better off not watching me on any adult sites—you'll just end up with some massive size complexes, and that'd be a pretty brutal hit to your ego 👍

I get it, I really do... you’re exhausted from constantly explaining how much smarter you are than me.
The truth is, you’ve got nothing to say, and you definitely don't want to have a real conversation with me.
I feel like Jagan trying to argue with Damian Hoyka at some high-profile Hollywood gala packed with celebrity faces...
It was painfully inarticulate!

From your perspective—the neighbor upstairs looking down on everyone on the ground floor—your own superiority must be an absolute given, right?...

You can practically smell it in every single thing you write...
It’s rare, sure, but when it hits, it’s enough to knock the wind out of you...
You know that old saying; "A stingy land keeps its treasure close, but when it finally gives, it’s worth three times as much..."

Supernatural forces simply don't exist. If we are all interconnected, what is left to be "supernatural"? And if the present moment is truly all we have, why is it such a problem to glimpse the future?

Contempt? Quite the opposite! I sincerely hope we can become friends. Not many people undergo these kinds of experiences. I just hope you won't be watching while I 🙂

So, I guess I’ll just throw out a little something trivial here too, just to see what everyone thinks, you know? Like, maybe...

So, I guess you're wondering what kind of monitor I'm currently staring at all day? Honestly, I haven't really thought about it much lately, but if I remember correctly, it’s a Dell—just one of those reliable ones you can always count on when you're deep in a rabbit hole, I suppose.
So, I was just sitting here thinking about that question—you know, wondering which countries actually hold the keys to the kingdom when it comes to the company I work for? It’s kind of a trip when you really stop to mull it over, I guess. Like, you go into your shift, grab your coffee, and just assume everything is local, but then you realize the whole ownership structure is this massive, complicated web stretching across the map. I mean, maybe it's just one big American conglomerate, or maybe there are pieces of it owned by folks halfway across the world, but honestly, it's hard to say for sure without digging through all those boring corporate filings, right? It makes you feel sort of small, thinking about how much global influence is tucked away behind a simple office door, but hey, that's just how the world works these days, I suppose!
So, I was just sitting here thinking about all this cosmic stuff, and I started wondering, like, what am I actually according to my horoscope? I guess I should probably check my birth chart or something to see which sign I fall under, you know? It’s kind of funny how much people obsess over those zodiac signs and whether they’re a Leo or a Scorpio or whatever, but maybe there's some truth to it buried in there somewhere, who knows? I'm honestly just curious to see if my personality actually lines up with what the stars say about me!

I mean, if you ask me, for someone like him, this probably shouldn't even be a struggle, I guess.

What am I, some stranger you can just quiz for fun?
Since you're already here—I spent last night meditating and praying for my light body to show up so I could ask how enlightened I really am. It finally appeared, much to my disappointment; it wasn't even two feet wide, just a modest half-foot across—diameter, mind you, not radius.
And zero communication was possible—no words, no visions, nothing. Turns out I might have been overestimating my enlightenment a bit. But hey, let the ego do its thing.

Then how do you distinguish between what happens in a week versus two weeks, or today versus tomorrow? If everything is just "now," pinning down a specific future event seems impossible.🤷
