Nancy Peterson3 said:Personally, I feel like that's all just fairy tales for kids—it seems to me people just use that talk to line their own pockets.😁

Sorry, but could someone please list the actual qualities of a "spiritual" person—in an everyday, real-world setting—that would make them any different from someone like me? How exactly is that person wealthier or happier, while I'm somehow left behind?

The obvious differences aren't there, but you have to look beneath or perhaps beyond the surface level constraints. That’s when the distinctions become apparent: how one views the world, their general approach to life, how they handle the "baggage" we all carry, and so on.
I didn't say you were unhappy, but there are certainly differences in worldview. As there are differences in how one defines happiness.

Like what, specifically? Give me an example ☕ where I’d be perfectly happy with a million dollars in the bank, but you'd still find some way to argue that it isn't "true" fulfillment.
Is that it?
🙂
A person just needs to be able to find a little contentment now and then 😬 🤣

Some people actually take the time to gather data, analyze trends, and refine their insights to predict what comes next. You clearly aren't one of them.

You’re the type who just waits to see which way the wind blows before deciding where to go.
That’s a valid way to live, I suppose.
Which is why I mentioned earlier that some people are pioneers, while others are merely followers, simply adapting to the world as others shape it for them.

Hey there, pioneer. 😬

That’s why I mentioned earlier that some people are pioneers, while others are just followers who go along with whatever everyone else decides.

Well, I guess the pioneers know best—no point in me trying to act smart by stating the obvious, right? 🥳

I wouldn't call myself a pioneer. That’s more of an engineer's trait.
The real question is whether our early innovators overreached—perhaps getting carried away in good faith—and ended up messing things up for everyone. 😬

Here is what my friend Tom Hanks thinks about it.

I had a pretty rough experience recently. Honestly, some women can be so incredibly exclusive, extroverted, and just straight-up aggressive. It was intense. 😬

I can multitask, sure, but if you aren't a total pro, things can get messy fast. It’s way too easy to lose track of everything. Just look at what **Bob** said as an example.

Women's intuition is something else. It’s powerful enough to build an entire life on—I'm talking buying houses, driving nice cars, crushing it in business, and creating a perfect home. Honestly, what can I even say? It's like those old stories about Maya and Paul. 😍

Ronald Rogers27

So, I guess they were the ones who ended up tearing you down. 😬 That is just awful. Truly terrible.
I honestly can't even wrap my head around how that guy managed to defend himself like that. I just need to know what his secret was. 🙄
No, I still think they were just being dramatic. It sounds like they all managed to sell you on that idea by packaging it so perfectly, when really, all they wanted was to get you to agree to those alterations... which clearly didn't happen, since they ended up being "extremely aggressive" in the end.

Some people—regardless of whether they're men or women—just set incredibly high standards from the jump. Honestly, I think that’s actually a good thing. If you end up getting only half of what you initially aimed for, you're still better off than if you had started with bottom-of-the-barrel expectations. Just imagine how miserable things would be if you only walked away with half of something that was already a total disaster.

Yeah, inclusivity... when we women decide to "carefully put things together," we tend to encompass the entire world. We have this way of taking everything—both the visible and the invisible—into account, which often ends up pushing you men to broaden your own horizons.

That female intuition is something else—it’s powerful enough to build an entire empire, from buying a house and a car to launching a successful business or creating a perfect home life. Honestly, what can I even say? It’s like watching Maya and Paul work their magic. 😍

Kudos to you. It’s clear you’re an incredibly responsible man with a deep sense of duty as the sole "provider" and caretaker here. I honestly don't know whether to say Mrs. Flintstone—your Wilma—is lucky to have you, or if I should be worried for her, since it feels like you're leaving her out of that responsibility entirely. In today's world, isn't it supposed to be a 50/50 partnership? A true empire is built when Maya and Paul tackle everything together.
My biggest life lesson came from realizing that Paul honestly thought he was the center of the universe.

Despite the fact that society doesn't always cater to my whims, I am a social creature at heart.

On the other hand, if you truly want to actually alienate yourself, assuming this isn't just an act or a pose, it seems you would have to stop posting on this forum entirely. It is otherwise inevitable that people will influence you, just as you influence them.

Right now, I just need some peace. It’s a kind of isolation. I don't need anyone around me in Real Life. That doesn't mean I've gone off the grid—I still socialize plenty. I talk to you guys, I engage with the world. Mentally, sure. But emotionally? I'm staying closed off. I have a Mission: Impossible to pull off. I know exactly how impossible this task is, but honestly, I've never felt more confident. I’m going to make it through. It’s simple math: it's just me versus self. 👍

I’m talking about physical alienation.

So, you guys want me to stop posting on this forum? I get it. I know I’m a handful. I’m a tough pill to swallow, and maybe I’m a little too much for some people to handle. Am I really that dangerous? Is that why you feel like you need to get rid of me?

Just say the word. If that's what you want, then I'm out. I won't push it anymore. NEVER Either I get to post in your threads, or I’m done talking to you. Period. 🙂

I don't have much to say about todaytonight. Just keeping things moving. kaže:
So, they basically ended you. 😬 This is just awful. Truly awful.
I just have to know—how on earth did that Man defend himself like that? 🙄
No, I still think they were just being dramatic. They managed to package everything so perfectly that you actually fell for it. All they really wanted was to get you to make those changes... which clearly didn't happen, since things ended up getting "extremely aggressive."

I’ve been with plenty of women in my short time on this earth. Every single one was different. My last girlfriend, though? She was on a whole other level of aggression and dominance. It’s not like I haven't dealt with that type before—it was a long time ago. This latest one felt straight out of an episode of Sex and the City.

Life just grinds everything down. It’s going to grind her down too, the last one left. She’ll end up as nothing more than a bloody stain on the pavement... just like how that Sex & the City episode got absolutely trashed. Man, they totally ruined it. And God, she was so full of herself—I can't even begin to describe that level of ego.

Déjà vu. There’s just no helping it. 😬

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but today was one of those days. Just one of those long ones where everything feels heavy. Honestly, I’m just glad to be home. kaže:
Look, some people—doesn't matter if they're men or women—just set their standards sky-high from the jump. Honestly? I think that's the right move. I have incredibly high standards. So far, not a single woman has actually met them. And look, it’s not like I haven't tried... I’ve spent time looking inward and realizing my own flaws. I get it. I’m far from perfect. But I do things my way, and there’s something unique about that. I need someone who can actually wrap their head around who I am, but women like that just don't seem to exist. You all think you know everything about yourselves—like having a meltdown because of a chipped nail or something equally trivial. Cool. If that's how it is, then it is what it is. 😬

Man, this thread is already drifting into off-topic territory, and it's still so new. 😢
@nobody
It isn't quite total alienation, more like an emotional distance—an emotional divorce, if you will. Anyway, fine.
In any case, I don't have anything against you personally.
While this topic does touch upon relationships and love, that feels like a tangent, especially since we're getting into specific personal experiences. If you want to keep discussing those things, I'd ask you and tt to move the discussions regarding romantic successes, failures, and ambitions over to that thread about evil. Even though that one is technically off-topic too, it has basically turned into a confession booth. 😁

As far as staying on this specific topic goes, you are both more than welcome.🙂

This is a song by The White Stripes The White Stripes The Hardest Button , which is their big hit Blue Orchid, and this is their Coca-Cola commercial.

I suppose we can see how they used similar elements in the video, specifically that red and white color scheme, which they also used in other clips, like this one.

I guess the real question is what came first—the chicken or the egg? I mean, was Coca-Cola just a parasite that recognized the red and white aesthetic as its own and hijacked it, or was that specific code—red, white, and black, plus the barcode motif—already living in Jack White's mind when The White Stripes first formed? You can see that same stripe/bar pattern not just in the Coca-Cola branding, but also in that famous cigarette brand with the "M" logo and their cowboy mascot. In this photo, Jack even seems to be smoking a bit like that cowboy:

image

Maybe at first, it was just his way of poking fun at certain stereotypes, but then it eventually turned into a full-blown advertisement. It’s hard to say... I don't know if Jack was parasitizing advertising to create a style that would later serve to extend the life of some new ad, or if the advertisement itself was parasitizing his mind, using him like a bacteriophage virus to churn out more commercials.

It looks like some kind of symbiosis, I guess.

Anyway, you can see how extreme these things can get elsewhere, like that situation where cute girls dressed in orange were kicked out of football stadiums in South Africa because people accused them of secretly advertising Bavaria beer. Since Heineken was the sponsor, they apparently demand that only their colors be visible. 😁

I suppose we have another intriguing little example to look at here—the logo on Fifth Avenue cigarettes:

image

It features the phrase "In hoc signo vinces," which is allegedly from a dream experienced by Emperor Constantine, the man who helped establish the foundations of modern Christianity at the Council of Nicaea. It also includes "Per aspera ad astra," or "through hardships to the stars."

We see this exact same motif over here, used by the Knights Templar during their ceremonies in New York City:

image

So, I guess you could say the progression of spirituality, which eventually led to our current state of consciousness, can be traced quite precisely.

Maybe they don't quite get it at first, I guess... people just don't see the vision immediately. But once it finally clicks for them, they end up slathering everything in cocoa butter and... well, you know how it goes. 🙂
Aside from that... I guess... what exactly does one mean by "reading by topic"...? Maybe I'm just missing something obvious, but I suppose I'm wondering how that even works.🙂

Do you want some actual, solid arguments for why social inclusion needs to be baked into an economy that’s actually growing? 🙄

If society actually wanted to address the issue of preventing people from being dehumanized, they'd need to take a much more proactive approach. I feel like a total stranger here. Look, we really need to be pushing for genuine social integration and cohesion. The best way to actually achieve that is by focusing on the development of a person's spiritual growth. It’s about meaningful engagement, not just surface-level interaction. 😵The goal isn't just about folding people into society—it’s about weaving them into every layer of our community in a way that actually honors who they are. We shouldn't be aiming for mere integration; we should be celebrating individuality and uniqueness as a fundamental strength. This means rolling out real strategies, like fostering genuine participatory dialogue or embracing a deep kind of ecumenism—essentially a religious pluralism that shines a light on various spiritual traditions rather than smoothing them over.

We’re living in such an illuminating era of creativity right now—a time where the divine truly meets the human within the embrace of an inclusive society.

It’s honestly pointless to even attempt a discussion about this in a language that doesn't even have a word for the concept.

It’s just starting to dawn here, and it’s a chilly 35 degrees. I finally finished all the laundry, so once I hang everything up, I’m heading out to the park with my little fur babies. LOL, it definitely keeps me active. 👍
I’ll probably find myself reflecting on John Doe and his experiences, especially that deep-seated desire he has to just pull away from everything.

In the US, there are various non-profits dedicated to inclusion and promoting social integration, aiming to help people with disabilities break out of isolation and participate more fully in society.
As for those without any disabilities, the prevailing principle is much more blunt: "it's a dog-eat-dog world—sink or swim."

If you end up settling for only half of what you actually wanted, you’re still better off than if you had started with bottom-of-the-barrel expectations. Just imagine if you only got half of a total disaster. No thanks.

You're just making wild assumptions because you don't have any actual facts to back them up. Fine, whatever. You win. Go ahead, take the dogs for a walk in the park or something. Since most guys tend to have such narrow perspectives anyway. 😍

Every woman I’ve ever dated thought they were 1000% (10x) more capable than they actually were. Honestly? They were a joke. Responsibility? Please. They couldn't even wipe their own noses properly, let alone handle anything serious... 😍 😍

I have zero issues with women buying my drinks, dinner, or treating me. Only one woman in my life ever actually did that. She was capable of surviving on her own and taking care of herself. She was the only one I truly wanted to marry. It's obvious why. Unlike other women who just offered empty words, lies, and cheating, she wasn't just some porn star in bed and nothing else. That's what most others based their "other qualities" on... 🤣

Is that really how you win a man over? Is that the most important thing?! 👎

Did you walk the dogs yet???

Yeah, that one woman... she struggled with that. I didn't know how to explain what I really felt. But yeah, I wanted it to be at least 75:25, giving her room for her own needs. My position in Life allowed me to do that.

I never insisted on being dominant. I just wanted equality. She understood that.

There were much nastier problems... You know how it is. 😉

I'm not sure how many people here actually grasp how what's written above fits perfectly into our topic—the essence of a person, their spirituality, their role in society, the struggle to establish any real dialogue, and the sheer lack of progress that keeps turning us all into savages.

I'm happy for the folks mentioned above, but it sounds like the "healthy" ones have to wait until they become disabled just to be deemed worthy of inclusivity treatment...

That feels like genuine discrimination against the able-bodied.

It’s honestly no wonder that _nobody_ can tell the difference between a woman who is (and would actually be worth knowing) capable of tough dignified self-sufficiency, versus one who is just overwhelmingly "full of herself."
