If you’re heading out to protest, you really ought to stay fired up and indignant; that’s generally how these movements actually gain any traction.😉

😢
Saying I was going there to protest was pure irony. In reality, I just have to drop off some balance sheets and tax filings that the IRS website can't handle 😢

Jessica Grant56 said:Honestly, you should be ashamed—joining in with everyone else like that. It’s genuinely rude and low. Since when did we give them the right to cut down on jobs (and by "jobs," let's be real, I mean well-paid, secure bureaucracy living in fancy government buildings)?
It’s unforgivable, really. Anyone pushing for all this "e-government" stuff should be called out. In the end, even public transit suffers because fewer people are actually visiting local agencies like the LAPD or the IRS. Personally, I think we should scrap all this digital nonsense entirely. Or better yet, maybe we should just get rid of the IRS altogether. That kind of heavy-handed oversight is something you only see in repressive, dictatorial regimes—places that feel the need to have a "Big Brother" watching every penny. That's not how things work in civilized societies, where an entrepreneur and a bank can deal directly without some middleman hovering over them. If I read this correctly—and I had to rub my eyes twice to make sure—the IRS is now monitoring the sale of diesel fuel?!?!? At this rate, the next logical step will be the government regulating sheep farming (black, green, or orange sheep) and counting how many squids are caught per square inch of ocean.

Look, I want to join the club of people being shamed by this "digital revolution" too; but let's be real—I have zero intention of paying for it if I don't absolutely have to! 😁 So, what's the move here? I've got my USB key from the DMV for accessing stuff online, and now I'm hoping it'll just magically work for the tax office when I need it. If I actually walk into a bank, they'll choke me with service fees for every little thing. How do I dodge that?

I suppose I took it that way, though it felt like a rather convenient moment to jump in🙂
Sony, I'll try to be more encouraging next time😉

Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement. It’s definitely one of those moments where you need a little boost to keep going 😉

It’s honestly pathetic that we can’t even walk by those grand landmarks without feeling a sense of irony. As part of the protest, I’m heading in tomorrow to hand-deliver the paperwork I couldn't get through the IRS website.
The whole thing is just an embarrassment. 😳

I'm with you too—honestly, they’ve turned the exact same color as that little smiley face of yours... haha!

I honestly have no idea. One day, I just got word from the Federal Reserve that they were phasing out my smart card and sending me a USB stick with an e-signature instead. After that, I had to fill out a bunch of those standard forms you find on the FBI website—gave them my name, ID number, even my shoe size—and then they just integrate that electronic signature into their system. Once it's set up, you can sign pretty much anything... though I'm really not sure what Henry Edwards33 was actually carrying around. Maybe she was just blowing off steam, judging by that smiley face? But if her next one is just as red as this one, I guess things didn't exactly go to plan.

Actually, nothing is possible 😢

You’ve got to bring the balance sheet, the accumulated deficit reports, the US Chamber of Commerce filings... 😢

It just ticks me off how they strut around like they own the place. 🙂

There isn't even a red smiley face. 😛

They've never actually asked me for US Chamber of Commerce docs... yet every single time I bring them, they just hand them right back, unverified.

I haven't filed anything with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for two years now—and honestly, nobody's even come knocking yet...

I’ve been spending some time looking under the hood of VTi lately, and honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. It feels like one of those situations where you see a sleek exterior and a polished pitch, but once you start digging into the actual mechanics, you realize there’s a lot of heavy lifting happening behind the scenes that isn't getting much credit. It reminds me of how certain big tech companies operate—everything looks seamless on the surface, but underneath, the infrastructure is held together by sheer willpower and some pretty questionable workarounds. You have to wonder if the foundation is actually built to scale, or if they're just patching holes as they go. It’s worth keeping a close eye on whether this can actually hold up when things get real. kaže:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has never once asked me for anything... yet I find myself dropping documents off there constantly, only to have them handed back to me unverified every single time.

It’s the same story over here, but honestly, that doesn't stop me from wearing it again. 🤣

Pure selfishness. You’ve got plenty, but you won't lift a finger to help anyone else. It’s a pathetic way to live. 🙂

Neggggooooo...
I'm officially done with all this nonsense. I'll be celebrating until Wednesday. 🙂

The final numbers are technically done, though I’m still wading through the tax calculations...

🙂 It feels like this process is an endless loop with no exit strategy in sight 🙂

I suspect the realization that my work is far from over might just be the thing that ruins my weekend plans 🙂

finalized the tax filings and everything today
tomorrow I'm just gonna coast into work until 2:00 PM—then it's back to the usual grind through Wednesday 👋

after that, I'll be diving straight into my notes 🙂

Oh, they certainly haven't earned it... though I do have one client who hasn't even bothered to get their paperwork over to me yet. If they can't be bothered to care, neither can I; I'll just file the sales tax return as a zero and deal with the amendment later when I actually feel like it. 🙂

I won't be able to make it for a long weekend, unfortunately, since I'm stuck working this Monday. 🙂 🙂

Go ahead and mock me, 😍 you little overachiever 😁

But when you find yourself panicking on Monday morning, just know I'll be sitting here feeling incredibly envious of you while you enjoy your peace and quiet somewhere else 😂😂😂

Well, there you are. I've been waiting for you. My notes are finally sorted, the public filing is paid for, and everything has been officially submitted. 🙂
