Personally, I've always been a huge cat person. I wanted one so bad when I was a kid, but my parents wouldn't budge. I used to play with cats at my grandpa's place, especially this one little male cat that was incredibly sweet; we kids would wrestle with him all the time, and he was so gentle, you could just see in his eyes that he’d never scratch you no matter how much you annoyed him.
But then there was this one time, right after I fed her, she curled up and while I was petting her, she suddenly swiped at me across the arm. I must have been about ten... and man, I lost my cool instantly and almost kicked her (thankfully I didn't) 😁 ... she was a female, so of course she scratched me... just like any other woman!

Usually, it’s the male cats that go after my hands... I can't even get near them. 😕 wtf
Cats just don't seem to take a liking to me in general.
There’s this one neighbor's cat—a massive, chubby gray beast... sometimes it squeezes through the fence to visit us. I’ll be sitting there calling out "psst psst psst," and the thing just plays games; it'll approach, then bolt away, then creep back closer, then wander off again. I couldn't even tell if it was a boy or a girl...
Honestly, what can I say? I'm just not their type. If I actually had a piece of deli meat in my hand, it would come flying at me like crazy... but otherwise, nothing.
They are cunning creatures. I actually have a theory that cats are smarter than dogs. 🤷

I know a guy who used to put kittens in a pot, flip them over, and toss them onto the street when he was just a kid. His old man would beat him whenever he got caught—so much for discipline. This same individual actually went to college with me. Now, he’s out there hooking cats on fishing lines and all sorts of other nonsense. Honestly, what is wrong with people? You really run into some sick individuals these days.

Well, obviously they are. Raccoons are the smartest, followed by pigs, then chimps—maybe dolphins somewhere in there. Cats sit two spots ahead of dogs.

When I was little, I was so incredibly foolish—I actually tried to catch a performer and endedstood there soaking his feet in water just to wash off the mud because his dirty feet were bothering me...
I ended up getting swatted with a switch when they caught me, and after that, it never even crossed my mind to "play" with animals like that again.

Austin Alvarez62 - I had no idea. Growing up, I was always told the hierarchy goes: monkeys first, horses second, dogs third, pigs fourth, then maybe cats... while chickens and turkeys are basically at the very bottom of the list.
People don't really mention rats out in the country either; they're viewed strictly as pests, meant to be dealt with harshly. It’s sad, but true. Well, maybe not "sad" exactly... in a way, yes... but not overwhelmingly so. If you know what I mean.
Dolphins aren't really brought up much either, since we don't typically have much contact with them out here. 😬

The metropolitan landscape... it’s a sprawling, relentless machine that never seems to catch its breath—much like the endless cycle of bureaucracy we find ourselves trapped in daily. You look at the sheer scale of an American megalopolis, from the neon hum of Times Square to the concrete arteries of Chicago, and you realize how much of our lives is dictated by these massive, impersonal structures. Everything feels interconnected yet strangely isolating—a paradox of being surrounded by millions while feeling entirely alone in the crowd... It makes one wonder if we’ve traded genuine community for nothing more than high-density efficiency. We build these towering monuments to progress, only to realize they’re just more complicated ways to feel small... kaže:
It’s the state’s failure—the sheer incompetence of our legal system—that is truly to blame here. When the Animal Welfare Act doesn't impose meaningful, teeth-gritting penalties for these kinds of psychopaths, you end up with exactly this... a predator who knows he can walk away without a scratch. He isn't being restrained by morality; he's being emboldened by the fact that the consequences simply don't exist. Honestly, if he knew there was actual accountability, he might hesitate... but I have a sinking feeling he’d pull the same twisted stunts on a child if he knew he could get away with it too.

Well, even if they only pull it off once in a blue moon—if not then the other one does...
It’s not even about psychopathy—honestly... people have emotions, they feel things, they're just human beings like anyone else...

The urban sprawl—this endless, gray expansion of concrete and glass—is truly something to behold... if you have a certain appetite for monotony. We call it "metropolitan," a word that sounds much more sophisticated than the reality of living in a crowded, buzzing hive where everyone is constantly rushing toward a destination they probably don't even want to reach. It’s all about density, isn't it? The sheer concentration of people, infrastructure, and noise... it creates this unique, pressurized atmosphere that defines the modern American experience. You see it in every major hub from New York to Chicago—the way the skyline dictates the rhythm of life, forcing us into these tight, organized patterns of existence. There is a certain cold efficiency to it—an impersonal, sweeping scale that makes the individual feel almost negligible... though I suppose that’s exactly how the architects intended it. kaže:
Once the government actually follows through on implementing multi-year prison sentences or those astronomical fines—and I mean real, heavy-hitting penalties—this kind of maniac won't even dream of laying a finger on an animal... let alone anything more serious...

And what exactly happens to Gavrilović then...?

I'd pee on him, toss him from a second-story balcony onto the concrete, drag him through fifty yards of thorn bushes, douse him in tar and gasoline, lock him in a dumpster filled with ice for three days, run him through a trash compactor, and finally let the cats bury him in the sand

OT:His parents aren't to blame for him being such an absolute moron; he probably taught himself how to be that much of a jerk all on his own

It’s certainly a more entertaining thought—the idea of tormenting a human being, someone for whom you can actually establish specific criteria and complex value systems... rather than some poor, wretched cat that hasn't done a single thing to deserve it.

You forgot about the battery... and those ear piercings...

Yeah, most likely... exactly right.

Have you ever actually sat and watched a cat play with a mouse... truly watched it? It’s a peculiar thing to witness—that strange, rhythmic oscillation between predatory instinct and a sort of detached, almost cruel curiosity...
I suppose I should consider it while the mouse is still breathing...

The thing is, calling this guy a "moron" isn't quite right, because being a moron should be treated like a medical condition...
This is just a textbook example of pure primitivism. You know, that whole way of living where people just refuse to keep up with scientific, technological, or cultural
advancements in the world, basically standing in opposition to everything that’s actually progressive and normal, which inevitably
just causes these primitive groups or individuals to drift further and further away from modern standards over time...
Basically, we're looking at one guy, or maybe a tiny little clique of primitives, who thinks—and the worst part is they actually believe—that doing something this mindless will somehow make them famous...
Anyway, they deserve a serious reprimand, and honestly, someone should really nail this guy with a punishment so heavy he never forgets the exact day, hour, minute, and second he thought this was a good idea...
Since this brand of primitivism seems to be baked into almost every corner of life here in America, I guess all we can do is sit back and helplessly watch scenes like this play out...
Heavy penalties are the only language these types actually understand, but... man, we are still such a long way from being able to enforce that, a really, really long way...Unfortunately!!!

Rebecca Williams11 said:I'm totally with you on this whole primitivism thing.
It's just a huge, widespread phenomenon here in America, and as much as I hate admitting it, it's everywhere. Sometimes I scroll through certain Facebook groups run by people from our neck of the woods, and I literally can't even process some of the names, comments, or just the general logic people use there. It's gross.
It makes me feel like they should just be locked up in a pen like sheep, left to rot by themselves without any contact with the outside world—just like they've lived until now, because honestly, it's better for everyone.

edit: animal abuse is one of those things that actual killers usually do right before they commit a murder.

Andrew Watson59 said:The government is at fault when the Animal Welfare Act fails to properly punish psychopaths like this. He knows he can get away with it, so he thinks he’s untouchable. Honestly, I bet he’d do the exact same thing to a child if he knew there were no consequences. Once the state actually starts enforcing prison sentences or massive fines, this maniac won't even think about laying a finger on an animal, let alone doing something worse.

ambermason16 said:I’ve always had a very simple solution for animal abusers (and honestly, I’ve tested it out a couple of times... let's just say this 6'5", 330-pound brute ended up sobbing right in the middle of Times Square, crying for his mama... I swear, true story). Whatever you do to an animal, you do to yourself. Period. Exactly the same way, under the exact same conditions. If I could, I’d write that straight into the Animal Welfare Act this very second. And I would enforce it religiously. I don't see the problem.

cosmicwolf27 said:Same goes for everything else in my book. Honestly, Hammurabi's Code was the gold standard—eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Just look at what you're planning to do, whether it's assault or murder, and decide if you're ready for that kind of payback.☕

Forget civilization. It was the only thing that ever actually made sense.👍

Honestly, I feel like I’m just hyper-sensitive about everything lately, you know? It’s like my skin is too thin or something. Everything hits me way harder than it probably should. kaže:
Look, I'll just be real with you—I’m definitely that kind of guy who once kicked a cat and then proceeded to smash it over the head with a brick.😁

Man, this brick is doing some straight-up magic!😍It’s just total darkness—a lethal combination.😈

Sarah Wood8 said:Where are all the comments like this:
"I'd roast him on a spit, pluck his nails out one by one, peel his skin off slowly and salt the meat, cut out his tongue, burn his legs alive and let dogs eat them while he's still conscious, then gouge out his eyes and slice off his fingers"

Right, I forgot this isn't BuzzFeed☕

The guy is just a complete moron—zero intellect, zero empathy, zero emotion, nothing for any other living thing. He’s just like those kids in NYC a few years back who used to grill newborn kittens alive. Honestly, what is there even to say about something like that!?
How did they used to say it—bread and circuses! If people back in the day could systematically enjoy gladiator matches and watch humans slaughter each other, why shouldn't we do the same to animals today, especially since it isn't as strictly punished under the Animal Welfare Act anymore? Humans are primitive, pathetic creatures driven by darker impulses than any animal; instead of using their brains to evolve, they use them as tools to invent the most depraved bullshit imaginable.
You ask how he became this way!? It's genetic. There's no saving him. If kicking or grilling little kittens is someone's idea of fun or a way to satisfy some internal void, I don't think there's much left to discuss or conclude.

So here’s a little story for you 🙂

Last summer, me and my buddies were hanging out at this total dump of a beach house down in Key West...
One of my friends is absolutely terrified of spiders—like, full-blown arachnophobia...

And wouldn't you know it, this massive specimen, a real big-city type, decides to wander right into his room...
...and man, this friend of mine just lost it! He was freaking out completely because the thing landed right above his bed...

So... who was gonna "take care" of it? Well... I stepped up... I managed to scoop him up in a larger clear plastic bowl (the kind with a lid...

And then we were stuck thinking... what are we even supposed to do with him now?....

We boiled some water... then we boiled it again... and kept doing it over and over... just to "purify" it from all the salt and minerals...

We poked a tiny little hole in the lid of the jar... poured that water inside... and popped him right into the fridge 🙂

He looked like a total king!

They are cunning creatures. I actually have a theory that cats are smarter than dogs. 🤷

For instance, one summer down in Key West there was a huge colony of cats, and we used to feed one of them almost every single day... a big black one. By the following summer, there were hardly any cats left in Key West, and we found that black one dead and already smelling bad in our backyard before autumn even hit, so I assume someone poisoned them. Still, I guess that's somehow more humane than letting the population explode or having people go out and hunt them.
Of course, it isn't exactly "humane," but I get why people lose their minds when there are hundreds of cats around, especially with how many stray dogs you see in small towns.

Every cat has its own distinct personality... they aren't mindless followers like dogs, and you can't train them like idiots to perform whatever stupid trick you want. They are incredibly cunning, wild, and independent, but you can still have a great time with them depending on the specific cat. Personally, as I've gotten older, I've developed a bit of an aversion to all animals and I don't like touching them—not cats, not dogs—but if a cat ever shows up at my door, I'll always give them something to eat if I have some.

This situation is also a crime, but it's nowhere near as bad as what I just described.

Look, this has absolutely nothing to do with religion; it’s just pure animal instinct driving one dog to tear another one apart, and yeah, the owner is a complete moron for thinking that video makes him look cool. But here, we're talking about someone during COVID who just kicked a living cat.🤷🤷

Honestly, we all need to get out of this part of the world as soon as possible.👎

No, don't be so sure—they do it because they love it.

Now, what the actual function of that behavior is... well, that's a different story. Everything serves a purpose, though whether that purpose meets some arbitrary standard of "utility" is another matter entirely... but it certainly has a function.

It's just like children—why do they do what they do? Because it's fun... even if it leads to shame, regret, or fear later on, it was still fun in the moment.

Personally, I completely understand people who lose their minds when they hear about someone torturing an animal.
I lose mine too...
especially when it comes to cats.
Could be pigs, could be cows, hell, it could even be humans—just leave the cats alone.
If it were a video of someone kicking or trampling a man, it wouldn't bother me nearly as much as seeing someone hurt a cat.

But then again, let's think about this for a second... what does this actually reveal about the human psyche?

By the way, there is a specific word for these kinds of themes: hubris.
It describes a certain type of cruelty—preying upon the defeated, the helpless, the defenseless... going over the line, overextending oneself, purely for the sake of a twisted sense of pleasure.

There were societies in history that weren't humane in the slightest, yet hubris was punished by law in those places... perhaps specifically because of this very impulse.

I agree regarding cats. Honestly, I find them slightly more endearing than dogs.
But what I love about dogs is that you can go running through a field acting like a complete idiot... and if you tease a dog, it won't snap at you the way a cat will. For instance, when I had my cat, I used to lightly tug on her tail a few times when she wasn't looking... I could see her getting agitated; the tail would start twitching nervously, then she'd meow, stand up, and by the time I tried to pet her again, she was so worked up she was ready to scratch.

Whereas a dog... haha 🤣 thinks it's a game when you grab their tail. Dogs actually enjoy playing. Cats really don't.

Then again, I don't care much for messing around with animals anymore either. Now, I just admire them from a safe distance.
My aunt has this theory that if a person doesn't know how to handle an animal, or simply isn't interested, they shouldn't be touching them at all. And she's right.

Anyway, I'm all for spaying and neutering cats, even if plenty of people disagree. What happens afterward? They just end up overwhelming people with kittens. It's a mess. 👎

Honestly, stuff like this just makes my blood boil. The other day I saw this bratty little kid trying to swing a ruler at a dog that was literally just sitting there being sweet and wagging its tail. For a split second, I seriously considered just booting her or giving her a massive slap, but for her own sake, she didn't hit him... because if she had, I would’ve definitely laid into her. ☕☕☕☕

It's the honest truth. I'm sitting here watching Mutual of Omaha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnMd7tD7HhE

Elon Musk and the gang vs. Spider-Man

Seriously, man, you’re being so incredibly unserious right now...👎
And here I was, thinking I actually did something helpful by trying to shed some light on this with my last post...😵All that effort just went straight down the drain, I guess...
Now I’m just sitting here feeling kind of bad about it all...😂
