Total goldfish memory here. 😢
I’ve been grinding for days studying for this exam, but nothing is sticking... I’m seriously trying my best, but then my parents just jump down my throat saying I'm being lazy.

nimbleotter4 said:I’ve spent years staring down infertility and navigating endless cycles of biochemical pregnancies, so believe me when I say I actually understand what fear feels like—and that hollow sense of hopelessness that comes with it. This is my first pregnancy that has actually made it this far.

It’s just a little easier to keep fighting, even when you're battling your own mind, if you can hold onto the idea that a positive outcome is waiting for you too, rather than feeling like a good result is some exclusive privilege reserved only for the lucky few.

Joshua Vaughn3 said:I totally get it. And honestly? It’s completely normal. A bad experience is always going to weigh on you somehow; you can't just hit delete on what happened.

I went through failed IVF cycles, surgeries, miscarriages... I definitely can't be as zen as someone who got pregnant on their first try without dealing with all those setbacks and broken hopes.

But, I guess, don't let the past paralyze you. This is a whole new pregnancy. It's a new life growing inside you, a new little miracle. 😍 All those fears and dark thoughts creeping in? They're just thoughts. They aren't reality, and you shouldn't fixate on them. Whether they're positive or negative, they don't have any magical power over what happens. They don't actually matter.

Nobody knows what the future holds, and nobody can promise you that everything will be okay. But the odds are on your side. You've made it past the riskiest window. Just try to take it one day at a time. 🙂

Girls, thank you so much for the kind words!😍

I have to admit, I’ve really been leaning into some much-needed downtime over the last few days. I've finally allowed myself to just... let go and relax.😁I’ve actually started wearing tight shirts now—like, I’m intentionally showing off my pregnancy in public... that’s definitely a huge step forward for me!

I’ve got an ultrasound scheduled for Monday, a month after my last one, but honestly? I am growing so incredibly fast right now. My belly is expanding by the day—I actually realized today that it’s getting physically difficult to even bend over comfortably! At this point, everything absolutely has to be okay.🎉

I’m going to drift slightly off-topic here, if you don't mind, but I honestly don't have much more to add to the current discussion. As far as I'm concerned, nothing about this topic is really getting under my skin just yet.

During my first pregnancy, I didn't feel any real fear...
Honestly, I had no idea what to be afraid of.
My only rule was to avoid any heavy lifting or overexertion just in case there was bleeding, so I just took it easy and called it a day...

But then came the second pregnancy, and during a routine checkup, we found out the heartbeat had simply stopped...
Anyone who has lived through that knows exactly what I’m talking about.

Now, with this third pregnancy, I feel like I've learned everything the hard way, and I'm honestly losing my mind a little bit. I'm terrified of everything. Thank God things are fine so far, but the moment I hear even a single bad word about pregnancy complications, I spiral.
I am counting down the days until I can finally give birth and move past this chapter of my life... I can't imagine ever having to face that kind of fear again.

I was way more anxious during my first pregnancy than my second. With the second one, I’m so focused on my little girl that I barely have time to think about being pregnant, except maybe when she finally crashes for a nap. Honestly, I sometimes forget I’m even carrying. My bump hasn't even changed much since before, but whenever I try to chase her around and feel that groin pain, then it hits me: yeah, I'm pregnant.

The first time around... man... I read everything. Every single genetic disorder, every birth scenario, every bit of info on breastfeeding and cramps... And when I started having contractions back in my fifth month, it sent my anxiety through the roof. Luckily, I spent a month at the hospital, hooked up to monitors several times a day, so I knew things were actually okay. If I hadn't been there, those weeks of recovery would have driven me absolutely insane with fear.

The only day I wasn't terrified was the actual day of delivery. I felt incredibly strong, just pure adrenaline. Hahaha, what a joke. Now, it's the exact opposite—it's the birth itself that scares me.

So, here comes the mother-in-law advice.
First, she was trying to convince me that drinking beer during pregnancy is actually beneficial for expectant mothers. Now, she’s suggesting that if I run into breastfeeding issues, I should just give the baby cow's milk because that’s what she did for her own kids.

Just Smile, tell her thanks for the input, and then go right ahead and do exactly what you planned to do anyway. It isn't worth the energy to argue..

It’s actually pretty funny—my friend has become completely obsessed with non-alcoholic beer since she started her pregnancy. XD
Honestly, though, compared to all those sugary sodas you see served in bars, it seems like a really solid, healthy choice. It's full of vitamins and doesn't have any sugar. 😉

I keep telling everyone how lucky they are that I’m such a chill, level-headed pregnant woman. People love to chime in with their unsolicited opinions, but my strategy is basically just to smile and let it all go in one ear and out the other. I don't let anyone get under my skin—whether they're commenting on my weight, breastfeeding, baby gear, or how big my bump is getting. I'm just doing my own thing. I guess I've yelled twice and had about five random crying fits during this whole pregnancy, but honestly, that's pretty negligible.

As for non-alcoholic beer... I tried it once during my pregnancy and it was easily the worst thing I've ever tasted. Maybe it's okay for some people, but I'd much rather wait for the real deal. For now, I'll stick to an iron-fortified juice, a smoothie, or a sugar-free lemonade. Sometimes I'll grab one of those organic juices from Whole Foods that has no additives, but mostly, I just stick to water.

She sounds like a total gem!
Mine is almost exactly the same way;
Back during my first pregnancy, I lived with her, and she was constantly cooking salmon for us because she insisted it was the ultimate superfood. Now, she’s read some headline about mercury levels in seafood, so she gives me this heavy look every single time I even touch a piece of fish.
It’s gotten to the point where I find myself making up excuses to eat fish just so I don't have to deal with the lecture, and then I end up avoiding it entirely just to skip the drama...
Talk about being relentless. 😵

What really gets under my skin, though, is this constant ache in my upper back and ribs.

Eh, I’ll take a beer.🙂 I’m sticking to the non-alcoholic stuff for now through Easter, but man, I am counting down the days until I can finally stop breastfeeding in about two years...😁 And honestly, I can already see how much of a hit it’s gonna be after just a few sips. I’m not even used to drinking; a couple of gulps is usually enough to get me feeling it.

The constant exhaustion is driving me insane. Between having zero time to actually hang out with my husband and falling asleep the second our little girl does... it's a lot.

I’m 14 weeks along, and these sudden hunger pangs have started hitting me out of nowhere. It’s incredibly frustrating. My actual appetite hasn't changed—I'm eating the same amount I did before I got pregnant—but the hunger hits so fast and so hard. If I don't eat breakfast within 15 minutes of rolling out of bed, I feel as weak as if I haven't eaten in days.
I start shaking, getting nauseous, feeling unsteady on my feet, and sometimes I even end up throwing up.
Throughout the day, I find myself having to grab a snack, usually some fruit, every hour or so.
Look, I don't really have any specific pregnancy cravings, but this sensation of hunger? It feels primal. Like an animal.

I used to be the exact same way... if I didn't get some food in me first thing in the morning, I’d be a total zombie—just completely out of it. But things have finally leveled out for me lately; honestly, there are days now where I practically have to force myself to eat just to keep up.

There is one topic that likely irritates many pregnant women: the constant barrage of questions about how much weight they've gained, alongside unsolicited commentary on their bellies and general appearance.

It’s just jealous women trying to take out their frustrations on pregnant ladies by bringing up how fit they used to be. :P I’ve actually been bracing myself for this since my wedding day because she sidelined my sister-in-law when she was expecting, too. Now, whenever she sees me, her first question is always about how much weight I've gained before she even asks how I am. 😵I honestly thought it would drive me crazy, but now it just seems funny to me. I've decided that nothing is going to ruin my day over this. 😁
She isn't really a bad person otherwise...

Exactly. Those standard questions and remarks are incredibly grating.
At this point, I’m starting to wonder if the issue lies with me and my pregnancy hormones, because everything seems to irritate me lately. 😵
But what really gets to people most? 😂 For me, it’s the unsolicited advice and everyone acting like an expert. Honestly, even the forums and news sites can be exhausting. I follow a few pregnancy blogs on Facebook, and the comment sections are just endless fights. It’s always something—which diapers to buy, then suddenly it’s a debate over feeding methods. Everyone wants to be the "Mother of the Year," and the amount of people who feel the need to lecture others is unbelievable. Instead of supporting one another, we end up treating each other like enemies.😵

It honestly drives me up the wall when people ask if my baby has "come back to life" yet, instead of just waving at her themselves from down there...

A few days ago, my husband and I were out on the balcony. I was just sitting there while he was busy grabbing the laundry off the drying rack, and this neighbor walking down the street decides to chime in with some unsolicited commentary. He basically asked what kind of woman I thought I was, letting my man handle the housework, and then had the nerve to suggest I shouldn't be surprised if he eventually leaves me for someone else.

Why didn't you just take her out with a clothesline hook right in that smart forehead of hers?
Honestly, I'm just sitting here waiting for my old neighbors—you know, the elderly types and everyone else—to finally lose it. Can't wait.

All I told her was, if that’s really the reason she wants to dump me, then fine—I'll pack his bags right this second. Otherwise, we're talking about a 40-year-old woman who has never even been pregnant in her life, yet she thinks she’s some expert on how us pregnant women should act or what we should be doing.😵
You better brace yourself, because you're gonna need a hell of a lot of patience for this one. 😁
