And then there are other people... Honestly, the sheer lack of empathy some folks have toward pregnant women just blows my mind.

The KP bumps and those little spots are getting super inflamed, and honestly, I'm breaking out in these annoying pink patches everywhere. I’ve been exfoliating every other day, but it’s doing basically nothing. My face is acting like I’m back in middle school with all these pimples and blackheads... Like, where is that legendary pregnancy glow everyone talks about? Where are the amazing hair and nails...? 🤦

Virgin coconut oil—if you haven't tried it yet, I’m telling you, it’s a game changer for skin issues. I actually buy mine in bulk and use it for everything: eating it, putting it on my hair, slathering it on my skin... It helps soothe the itching I get from the sun since I deal with vitiligo. Works like a charm.

I can't get anywhere on foot, which is frustrating because I love walking, but we just don't have a car.
My uterus is low, so I assume that's why the baby feels so low down. Any time I spend standing upright for more than 20 minutes, I get this intense lower abdominal pain and an overwhelming urge to pee—even if I just went moments ago.
Do those maternity support belts actually help?

And honestly, just like you, most of my irritation comes from other women. They treat me like I’m completely incapable of doing anything for myself. Then, they swoop in, take over everything, and have the nerve to say, "Oh, I did everything perfectly fine during my pregnancy." 😬 Then, when they finally act polite, they act like they're superior to me. Wtf? Since when did pregnancy become a competition?

Help me out here... I'm 5 weeks pregnant and this intense pelvic pressure is starting to make it impossible to even sit down. Has anyone else dealt with this?? 😰😰

Gonna jump in here—any nausea early on? Like, how do you *not* have any? If you aren't feeling sick, something's definitely off. And then people start asking if the baby is even "still alive"—I heard that exact question a million times before my five-month mark. Personally, I’m just over here dealing with congestion and trying not to stress too much. My answer? I don't know! She was fine on the ultrasound... lol. Now that I'm at 27 weeks, it's constant belly rubbing and endless questions about labor, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Everyone's like, "You HAVE to buy this" or "You NEED that for the baby," ugh. Since it's my first, I'm trying to be careful, but then you get these "experts" who act like they were invincible—claiming they drank bamboo tea, didn't need sleep, or were basically superheroes. I'm really not the type to brag about what I can or can't handle, but seriously...

Gonna jump in here too—anyone else dealing with nausea early on? Like, how can you say no? If you aren't feeling sick, something's definitely off... honestly, I've heard people ask if the baby "came back to life" a million times before the five-month mark. Personally, I’m just over here dealing with constant congestion and trying not to stress too much, so my answer is basically: I don't know! On the ultrasound, they're fine, haha. Now that I'm at 27 weeks, it's nothing but belly rubs and endless questions about labor, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Everyone's like, "You MUST buy this!" or "You NEED that gadget for the baby!" Ugh. And since it's my first, I'm trying to be careful, but then you get those "expert" moms—who I know act like they were made of steel—dropping lines like, "Oh, just drink some herbal tea," or "I worked right up until the delivery," or "I was a total superhero," blah, blah, blah... Look, I'm not the type to brag about what I do or don't

Just jumping in here to join the conversation... honestly, I’ve been feeling a little better just knowing I’m not losing my mind and that what I'm going through is actually "normal" for most pregnant women..

Anyway, since I hit the 13-week mark, I haven't been trying too hard to hide the pregnancy. I guess I'm doing it mostly so I don't lose my cool dealing with everyone's "expert" questions and unsolicited advice.... My inner circle knows (well, everyone except my mom :/ because her reactions and lectures are honestly what I dread the most), but I still get all these questions like-
"Was this planned?" or people treating me like I suddenly became disabled—like, "Are you okay? Are you feeling nauseous? Do you want a girl or a boy more?" (as if it matters that much, you love your baby regardless of gender!), or "Have you picked out names yet?" (um, hellooo, we still have six months to decide)
Since I work an office job (and it isn't super strenuous for now), the usual question is how long I plan on staying on the clock... At work, only my manager and one coworker know, and I really don't want to tell anyone else I deal with because I know they'll start looking at me differently right away...

It seems like nowadays, being pregnant is such a huge "wow" topic that everyone feels entitled to comment as if they're the smartest person in the room....

I'm honestly a little nervous about when my bump starts showing more and the comments and over-the-top fussing begin, especially once the gossip starts spreading through my small town... yippee

I don't really have any major complaints, honestly. My only real struggle has been dealing with constant nausea and vomiting throughout this entire pregnancy. It’s left me feeling completely drained, making it hard to stay on top of getting things ready for the baby or even finding the energy to play with my older daughter.

Everything else has been wonderful. I managed to score some incredible deals on baby clothes, my weight hasn't jumped as much as I expected, and my skin and hair seem to be holding up just fine. Plus, my husband is being amazing and everyone around us has been incredibly supportive.

Stuff that’s driving me nuts:
-My mom and her endless stream of questions and unsolicited advice about everything—especially baby gear. It's always "what about this?" or "why aren't you getting these strollers instead?" or "you're buying stuff too early" (I'm already 25 weeks in!), plus the whole "when are you finally getting rid of those cats?" bit...
-My own mood swings and how easily I just snap at everyone and everything. Honestly, I'm trying to chill out, but I feel this heat rising inside me and suddenly everything feels like a huge deal, even when it's total nonsense.
-The way my husband just breezes through everything with that "it'll be fine, we've got time" attitude.
-Random people feeling entitled to stick their noses into our business all of a sudden. We used to stay in our own lane, but it's like pregnancy just tears down all boundaries, whereas if you ask me, it should make people back off even more.

Stuff that caught me off guard:
-How fast I crash. I have the drive to get things done, but my energy levels just hit zero. It's seriously harder than it used to be.
-Leg cramps that kick in the second I miss my magnesium for the day.
-Crying over absolutely nothing, whether it's something great or something crappy. I'm usually a tough person—most people would say I'm pretty stoic—but now? Not so much.
-The sheer amount of love and protection I feel for this tiny little being growing inside me. Feeling those kicks is incredible; that early bond is just indescribable.😍

The only thing that actually caught me off guard during pregnancy was how much my period cramps have been driving me insane lately.

So, I’m pregnant, and honestly, people have been getting on my nerves. Not all the time, but when things get stressful—and by the end, I’m basically a nervous wreck—I’ve seriously considered sending them all to hell.
I’ve always been on the smaller side, just like all the women on my mom's side. I’ve put on some weight, sure, but nothing crazy—just a little belly, no stretch marks. Naturally, there are always those judgmental types ready to chime in with questions:
"You look way too thin, are you even eating? Is the baby okay? You know, you really should gain some weight, or you'll end up having a tiny baby if you don't put on another 20 pounds."
Or, "It's weird how you haven't ballooned out yet; that can't be healthy." (Like, wtf)

I stay active because it works for me. My pregnancy is going fine, and my OB-GYN actually encourages me to keep moving as much as possible.
"Why are you walking so much? Shouldn't you be lying down and resting? When else are you gonna get a break? I did nothing but lie on the couch the whole time I was pregnant."

I worked until my 38th week. It wasn't every day, maybe just a few hours here and there, and the job isn't physically demanding.
"Why are you working? Are they giving you a hard time? Just take medical leave and stay in bed."

The general "advice" I get is that I should just lie down, lie down, and lie down more. Eat until I pop, and basically hire my family and friends to bring me water and fan me with feathers. Not because I have health issues or anything, but just because that's apparently what pregnant women are supposed to do.

And a few times during my seventh month, people told me it was way too early to start buying baby stuff. I guess I'm supposed to wait until the second I walk out of the hospital to go buy the stroller, the crib, and everything else. 😁 😁

It didn't really make me angry, honestly—it was more just funny seeing how clueless some people can be. I actually had someone leave a comment suggesting I’d put on a massive amount of weight... specifically mentioning my arms, legs, and face.
To give you some perspective, during my check-up at Mayo Clinic, I only gained about 7 or 8 pounds total. But the funniest part of this whole ordeal is that I actually took my measurements—hips, legs, arms—before the pregnancy and compared them to now, and there hasn't been a single inch of change in those areas.
I mean, seriously, how much common sense do you have to lack to say something like that to someone? Especially when the person hasn't even gained an inch in the very spots you're pointing out. It’s pure bluffing—just assuming that because you're pregnant, you must be getting "bigger" by default. 🤦🙄
So, I ended up telling them that I hadn't actually gained weight, but rather that I was just "heavier" before the pregnancy—which isn't true, obviously, neither then nor now. Just a little way to shut down that kind of nonsense...

No matter how you slice it, those idiots always find something to nitpick. If you put on a few pounds, you're fat; if you don't, you're too skinny. I guess it doesn't matter.
Anyway, you're always gonna be 😁

That is exactly the point... until recently, I felt like my stomach was just too small🙄
But now, it feels like I have a prominent belly, and honestly, I feel heavier all over...🤣

What really gets under my skin is my mother-in-law. She’s more obsessed with my weight than I am. I’m only 15 weeks along and haven't gained any weight yet—and honestly, why should I? I eat clean, I've been an athlete since I was a kid, and I'm staying active during this pregnancy to prioritize my health and nutrition. Since I'm only in my third month, there's absolutely no reason to have packed on 10 or 15 pounds already. But no, according to her, I should be up at least 10 pounds by now. She spends every single day lecturing me about how I'm not eating enough and hurting the baby just because I actually care about my physique. It doesn't matter that all my doctor's checkups are perfect.

Rubbing my stomach? Yeah, I am definitely not a fan of that.

Yeah, me neither—the only exception is when it's just some gentle affection from a partner...

It’s actually kind of wild how easily I can be moved to tears by any little sentimental cliché now. Before I got pregnant, absolutely nothing touched me unless it was something hitting my own life directly—I was pretty much bulletproof. Now? Give me an Olympics medal ceremony or some cheesy romantic subplot in a Netflix series and I’m a total wreck. 😐 On the bright side, I was pleasantly surprised that I haven't dealt with any nausea at all.
The absolute worst part, though, has to be the unsolicited advice and the constant commentary on every single detail of this pregnancy. I’m living abroad in a country where superstition is practically a national pastime, and honestly, I don't even bother smiling politely at the nonsense anymore; I just flat-out tell them I don't believe in that kind of stupidity. It’s just exhausting how pregnancy becomes such a public spectacle—everyone thinks they have the right to chime in, touch my stomach, or comment on things that have zero business being their concern.

I honestly thought I’d find it annoying if someone touched my stomach, but it turns out I actually quite like it when someone reaches out spontaneously to give me a little pat. 😀
Though, I should probably point out that no stranger has tried that yet, so I’m not entirely sure how I would react... 😂

Uuuuu, my absolute favorite little moment lately is when some random ladies from the neighborhood try to strike up a conversation about my pregnancy, only to gasp in pure, bewildered joy: "Oh my gosh, I had no idea you were married!"

I just give them a little laugh and calmly reply that I never actually said anything about being married.
They look completely thrown off—just standing there gesturing wildly at my stomach.
But hey, don't you guys know how babies are made? You don't exactly need a marriage license for that. 🤣
Honestly, watching those blank, stunned expressions on their faces is such a thrill. 😬
