Haha! Seriously though! There are so many ridiculous comments about pregnant women out there—don't let them get to you, girl! 😉 Just brush them off; honestly, it’s just the hormones talking sometimes. 😬
You've got a mountain of breastfeeding advice coming your way too, so save your energy and just do what feels right for you. 😉
Once the baby arrives, everyone suddenly switches to lecturing you about diapers, acting like they're some kind of moral standard. For me, the diaper talk was actually much easier to deal with.

It’s incredibly frustrating. My feet—well, my ankles—just swelled up out of nowhere overnight. 😁 One morning I’m going through the usual routine: shower, wash my hair, get ready, and then go to put on the same shoes I wore yesterday, only to find they won't even fit. My ankles are so swollen I can barely see them. 😁 Week 31. Just great. I really thought I might be able to make it through without this. 😁

Jamie Gonzalez5 said:There is one topic that likely irritates many pregnant women: the constant barrage of questions about how much weight they've gained, alongside unsolicited commentary on their bellies and general appearance.

Oh, tell me about it! Honestly, the very first thing everyone asks whenever they see me is exactly how much weight I’ve put on, or they start telling me I look too skinny, or that I won't be able to breastfeed because I don't have enough fat reserves. It’s actually quite ridiculous, isn't it? They even end up questioning my husband because I’m being so intentional about what I eat! 🤦

That is exactly what I am dreading! I mean, people already act like my belly is public property right now—which, fine, I suppose I don't mind if someone touches the bump—but please, for the love of everything, just leave my chest alone! 🙄

Every single woman out there feels entitled to grill their husband about whether his wife has enough milk. Honestly, some people just won't mind their own business.

I just can't seem to focus on anything lately. I have zero motivation to do anything except pick fights and snack constantly. 😠

So I’m sitting there in the waiting room at my OB-GYN today, right? And I’ve got these two women hovering over me, dead serious, trying to convince me I’m having a boy just because my bump is sitting low. I’m sitting there like, "No, it’s definitely a girl," but they just keep doubling down, insisting it’s a guy because of how low I'm carrying.
Honestly, I lost it. I’m 39 weeks along, for crying out loud, and they’re still giving me this unsolicited advice about my belly position. My stomach is dropping so low I feel like it’s practically hitting the floor at this point.
I swear, these old ladies and their baseless superstitions are starting to drive me absolutely insane.

Aha, I'm right there with you. As for the comments... she ate her little bowl of... well, she wouldn't even call them oatmeal flakes because, to her, that's basically livestock feed. Apparently, I should just live on prosciutto and cheesecake to get "properly nourished." And when I reach for the deli meat, it's the same millionth question about why I'm skipping processed meats—claiming toxoplasmosis wasn't an issue back in her day. I get the concern, really, but why on earth do you need to ask me for the thousandth time? It makes me wonder who's actually losing it here. Ugh.

Look, I’ve always been a bit more sensitive to harsh comments, mostly because I don't go around attacking anyone else; when I ask a question, it's because I actually give a damn about the answer.

What really gets under my skin right now is this feeling that people aren't even asking for information—they're just fishing for an opening so they can pivot the conversation back to themselves or some sister, niece, or cousin of theirs...

Honestly, I'd much rather hang out with the guys where the banter is just stupid jokes about who's whose dad, letting me have a beer belly and indulge in all that typical "guy" nonsense.🙂

Tell me about it... Women always have to have something to say, don't they? And it’s usually some absolute horror story, either something that actually happened to them or just some random piece of gossip they heard. It drives me nuts! One minute you're just asking a simple question about weight, and the next, they're judging you from head to toe based on whether you gained or lost a few pounds. Unbelievable.

A woman asked me yesterday if I’d actually planned on getting pregnant.
When I told her it was completely unplanned, she had the nerve to ask why I didn't just go get an abortion.
And now everyone is predicting a boy because "you have that specific glow and your skin looks amazing, which only happens with boys." Apparently, if it's a girl, you'll just look terrible. 🤦

I won't even touch the first part; I find it hard to believe anyone would ever say something like that to a pregnant woman.🙄
As for the rest, it’s laughable. I've heard plenty of those theories before, and none of them hold any water. Personally, I'm waiting for a girl, and my skin has been flawless. Not a single breakout throughout the entire pregnancy. 🎉

The moment you share the news with your inner circle, you're hit with week seven questions like, "Have you picked out names yet?" or 🙄 "Are you planning on doing an epidural again?" Honestly, everyone needs to just take a breath and chill out. 😁

It’s constant. The name, what they’ll eat, where exactly they’ll sleep versus where the dogs will sleep, even when we start solid foods—like if it'll be meat purees. I feel like I’ve somehow managed to map out an entire lifetime in just two days. 🙄 Or when a friend asks which stroller, high chair, or baby carrier I’m planning on getting... it feels like nothing I suggest is ever right unless it's the exact same model she used three years ago. It’s frustrating. And then there are those questions like, "What is the little one doing right now?" — honestly, what else would they be doing?

haha, true, I completely blanked on the pet thing. But what's your actual problem with cats? Go to hell 😠. They’ve never even owned a pet in their lives, so they don't have a clue 🙄

I’m totally with everyone else on this... What drives me absolutely insane is when people start touching my stomach—which I just started noticing lately—and then they have the nerve to use that condescending, baby-talk voice like, "How are you doing? Are you eating enough? Does the wittle baby want this or that?" It makes me want to lose it!

And don't even get me started on pet owners. If I had two cats and a dog, people would act like they're a massive threat and tell me I need to get rid of them immediately. So what's the deal with humans? Sure, cleaning up hair might be a bit more work, but I'm already used to it. Honestly, I bet I vacuum more often than those same people who didn't even own a goldfish.

Oh, man, >, you just hit on something that really gets under my skin. There’s nothing quite as grating as being bombarded with those patronizing little check-ins—you know, the ones where people ask if you've eaten enough or if you managed to get enough sleep. It feels less like care and more like being treated like a child.
The second most exhausting part is when people start treating me like I'm fragile or perpetually unwell. Just the other day, someone actually told me, "Don't worry about making lunch, just lie down and rest since you're feeling under the weather." It's incredibly condescending.
And then there's the third tier of annoyance: the constant interrogation regarding my career. They want to know how much longer I plan to work, why I bother working at all, or if my boss is going easy on me. When I tell them there's absolutely no need for anyone to go easy on me, they look at me like I’ve completely lost my mind.

So, I work at a school, right? And we’ve got this one auntie working in the kitchen who, every single time she sees me, starts doing this ridiculous baby talk. Like, seriously—"goo goo ga ga, here comes the baby, eat up for the baby, is mommy listening?" It’s straight-up creepy. She’s literally talking to my stomach and making these weird, distorted voices. Honestly, I haven't even heard anyone talk to their own newborn like that. It’s wild.

Luckily, my family is actually sane. They treat me with respect—they won't let me carry heavy grocery bags and my husband is constantly on top of everything around the house so I don't have to stress. Everything else feels totally normal. Plus, my girlfriends who already have kids or are pregnant themselves aren't out here pushing insane, unsolicited advice on me. I’m so grateful for that.

Hang in there, ladies. Just toughen up your skin and don't let anyone try to tell you how to live your life!

It’s barely April and I’m already getting bombarded with unsolicited advice from every direction. Buy this stroller because it’s the best, or don't buy that one because it's a total waste of cash. Just throw your money away, right? Apparently, strollers from $1.75 are considered "budget options" now.

A friend showed me a photo today of her using a carrier that was basically a safety hazard—the baby looked like they were about to slide right out. And then she tries to sell me on this idea she heard from some lady at the hospital: that you can only use wraps or ring slings until the baby is three months old because after that, they have to face outward.
Honestly, between the hormones and this nonsense, I'm one step away from a heart attack.

And why am I being grilled about whether I have a matching changing table and dresser set yet? Why am I even looking for stuff? I’ve got plenty of time—I literally just bought a dresser and I'm still saving up for everything else. People act like if you don't buy certain things, the baby is going to grow wings or something. It never ends.

Plus, it drives me crazy when I can't even figure out if I'm allowed to drink a specific tea because one doctor says yes and another says no. Same goes for meds, creams, or whether I actually need this prescription. Nobody seems to know anything. I swear, I just want to stand in the middle of the clinic and laugh at the whole thing.

I’m actually low-key shocked that my skin—which was already dry and crusty as hell from keratosis pilaris—can somehow get even worse. 😢 Everything is itching constantly, and I’m stuck slathering on lotion every single day just to cope. The KP bumps and those little spots are getting super inflamed, and honestly, I'm breaking out in these annoying pink patches everywhere. I’ve been exfoliating every other day, but it’s doing basically nothing. My face is acting like I’m back in middle school with all these pimples and blackheads... Like, where is that legendary pregnancy glow everyone talks about? Where are the amazing hair and nails...? 🤦

I’m hitting almost 37 weeks now, and honestly? I haven't slept a wink this entire pregnancy. I’m getting less sleep than I ever have in my life, mostly because I’m up at least 3 or 4 times a night hitting the bathroom. I’ve probably managed maybe ten naps during the day total.

And don't even get me started on my skin... It's bone-dry, flaky, and breaking out everywhere. My dermatitis has actually gotten worse. As for my hair... let's just say it's "normal." I am nowhere near that "pregnancy glow" everyone talks about.

On the bright side, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't need a single allergy pill all season this year. Fingers crossed I'm not jinxing myself here 😁
