I mean, I’m right there with you. We already know exactly what we're getting into—the exhaustion, the sleepless nights, all that mess—but honestly? God, we just want this baby so bad that nothing else really matters. We'll deal with it. We're basically superheroes or something, right? Like, we can handle anything life throws at us.

Hey everyone!
I’ve hit week 30 today, and honestly, if I hear one more person chirp, "Oh my goodness, look at that little belly!" I might actually lose it.
Thank God, the baby is doing perfectly fine. Everything is developing right on schedule, and my doctor says my bump is exactly where it should be for this stage. I’ve only put on about 13 pounds so far—maybe if I packed on another 20, people would finally stop worrying and realize everything is going exactly according to plan!
Best to you all!

Don't even sweat it. I'm 35 weeks along and I've only gained like 4 pounds total—the baby is huge and basically just eating through my internal reserves (I was a little bit heavier before I got pregnant). My doctor is happy, the baby is healthy, and really, that's the only thing that matters. Just ignore the chatter; people are just barking to hear themselves talk. 😍

Yesterday really got under my skin again. I’ve noticed this pattern with certain friends—couples we usually hang out with—where they just subtly start sidestepping us when making plans...
It’s like, "Oh, she’s gained some weight, so she’s not part of the group anymore."

I’m honestly feeling pretty let down. I noticed the shift happening a while ago, but now it’s actually starting to sting...

I have always been the one holding this entire social circle together. But now that I'm pregnant and my energy isn't what it used to be... I don't know. I can't go hiking up steep trails or stay out all night at a concert in downtown Chicago, and I definitely can't spend an entire day trekking through the Rockies on my feet. Suddenly, I guess we aren't "fun" anymore...

My husband tells me I shouldn't let it get to me—he’s just not wired that way. That actually made me incredibly angry. Actually, more than angry... disappointed.

Anyway, just needed to vent for a second...

Honestly, you don't even need "friends" like that. I just don't get people. For what it's worth, I'm not pregnant, but I had a friend who just suddenly stopped hanging out with me. I have no idea why... she never gave me a REASON. We were close for a long time. It felt terrible (and it still does)...😕
But I'm not going to chase after her while she's busy ignoring me either...😕

The truth is, some people don't even deserve the title of friend because they aren't. A real friend stays by your side regardless of the circumstances.😁

I’ve put on about 24 pounds myself, so it’s definitely not like I haven't gained weight. People constantly tell me my belly looks small, and then they act totally shocked when I mention I’m due in just a month... For instance, my hairstylist told me she looked just like me back when she was only three months pregnant. Then, 🙄 they have the nerve to say I don't look like I've gained any weight at all! When I tell them I’ve actually gained nearly 25 pounds, they look at me like I'm crazy. They even ask if I used to be super skinny before (which isn't true—I was never tiny, standing 5'8" and weighing around 138 lbs). It's just endless... 🤦 Honestly, most of the time you just have to tune out the noise. As long as your doctor tells you everything is fine, that's all that matters. Besides, isn't it better to stay on the lighter side so you don't have to deal with as much weight loss after the baby arrives? ☕

Honestly, all this unsolicited advice and constant commentary from frustrated old ladies just makes my blood boil—and I don't say that often. It’s always the same stuff: "you have to eat for two," "you should do this or that," or those endless horror stories about how we won't get any sleep for the next year. All this "perfect" advice? Yeah, it really gets under my skin.
Right from the start of my pregnancy, I decided I wasn't going to share everything with people who just love to judge. For instance, I kept it totally quiet from my mother-in-law that I have a large fibroid that might trigger preterm labor (even though I'm already 38 weeks along now), because she would’ve immediately jumped into some weird theory about why I have it. Or if I had mentioned getting bloodwork done for diabetes, she’d have twisted that into her own narrative, too. She keeps telling everyone how much weight I’ve put on, even though I’ve actually only gained two pounds. Then one day she has the nerve to suggest I haven't adjusted to my new bed because I'm "heavier" than I was before the pregnancy—again, I've only gained two measly pounds! A friend of hers came over and immediately commented on how much weight I'd put on, only to be shut down by her own daughter, who was like, "What do you mean? Can't you see she's just broader in the shoulders and chest?"

One of the more nonsensical pieces of advice I've ever heard is to sleep as much as possible now because you won't be able to later. If someone could actually explain the mechanics of how one is supposed to "stockpile" enough sleep today to last through the future, I would be eternally grateful. As it stands, I am sleeping whenever I can and whenever it is necessary; there is simply no logical reason to spend my entire life in bed just on the assumption that I won't be allowed to rest later.🙄

It drives me crazy when people tell me to "just calm down" or "relax." Nobody actually listens to what's bothering me or tries to understand why I'm stressed in the first place. They just brush me off with stuff like, "chill out," "why are you always complaining?" or "just think about something else."🙄
Whatever, people say it's meant to soothe me, but it doesn't work..
The other thing is, the second I walk into a grocery store, a butcher shop, a bakery, or even just walking down the street—if I see someone I know, even if we’ve never spoken before—they immediately hit me with, "Hey, you're late," or "What are you waiting for?"

I'm wondering the same thing... how does everyone think they can just bank sleep for later? 🙄

But then again, I've seen cases where a kid actually has a decent rhythm from day one, so parents might actually get a full night's rest for once.

Looks like I’ve already kicked off today’s thread... someone is always getting on my nerves. I’ve finally sorted myself out. My husband and I had a serious, heated blowout about them—which isn't exactly his style—but today he actually did me a solid 🙂

Hahahaha...

Honestly, what’s going to be even worse is having to listen to all these "expert" ladies giving their unsolicited advice. I saw this thread on some parenting forum—it was basically just a bunch of mindless gossip and chatter.

I usually sit somewhere around 160 to 165 pounds at 5'8", and honestly, I think I look pretty damn good 🙂

I’ve got curves in all the right places... haha

But according to these scales they have here, apparently I'm built like a tank 🙂

I mean, if I didn't already mention how much it absolutely drives me crazy when people—whether they're famous or just random nobodies—try to kiss my ass... I guess I'll only ever let my mom, my sister, and my niece get away with that kind of stuff.

Haha, looks like my weight has sparked quite the debate! Personally, when I think of "skinny," I'm picturing those runway model types—and that’s definitely not me, nor is it a look I’m ever interested in chasing. Honestly, nobody has ever called me skinny; people have always just put me in the "average" category, which is why I said I wouldn't call myself thin. I'm actually really happy with my body, and right now, I'm just sitting here happily enjoying some ice cream 🤣

I’d also love to join MrBeast in figuring out how to save up enough sleep for later in the day... haha, seriously though, if we actually found the secret to that, we'd be looking at a Nobel Prize

Even better—maybe husbands could step up a bit more so moms can actually get some rest... 😁
It honestly drives me crazy when men act like they think I’m going to have "the best time ever" during postpartum. Like, oh, you'll be home for a year! He actually told me he’d gladly swap places with me in a heartbeat—that he'd happily deal with the labor, the breastfeeding, the sleep deprivation, and all the other "joys" of motherhood just to stay home. It seriously makes my skin crawl because I just don't think he realizes how incredibly tough it is for young moms. Honestly, there are moments when I just want to strangle him! 🙂

Oh, please... they would all love to swap with us because... what exactly are we doing? We're just sitting at home, right? Just "babysitting" all day.🙄
But the second they actually have to stay home and watch the kid for an hour or two, they lose their minds. They're constantly glued to their phones, snapping at everyone and texting us to ask when we'll be back.😂
And don't even get me started on the physical pain. It’s been proven time and again that they're total wimps when it comes to actual discomfort. I’d really love to see how they’d handle labor.😂 😂

But it shouldn't just be about the baby; it's about every other little "charm" of running a household. Let Mom go out and grab a nice coffee with a friend while he's on duty.☕
...And meanwhile, lunch needs to be ready, the house needs to be spotless, the laundry needs to be folded and hung up, the dishes done... you know, all that endless loop of stuff we women handle that everyone just assumes happens by magic. No husband ever truly appreciates or even realizes how much of our lives is swallowed up by it.
Anyway, sorry for the rant! This forum is such a great place to vent!👍

My husband is doing the exact same thing, dreaming about being the one home. We originally agreed it would be six months for me and six months for him, but as the due date gets closer, I'm starting to think I'll probably be the one staying home for the whole year.
And my favorite part? When he's like, "Come on, baby, come out already so we can hang out!" lol, meanwhile, there's football on TV every single day, so... when exactly is he planning on hanging out with a newborn?🤷
