So, if he manages to pull together a solid cast of actors, I guess I wouldn't have anything against a movie about Auschwitz. Does anyone know if they're planning on making it a series? It would be pretty cool if it turned into some kind of trilogy, don't you think?

It's gonna be... well, the first part will probably be called "Jasenovac song," then the second one could be "Jasenovac tower and Gradiška tower," and the third—which would be the big one—"Return of the King."
Seriously though, maybe Donald Trump should look into hiring Peter Jackson instead. He’d probably handle the scale of this much better than Spielberg could!

Maddox could just be a cartoon character, wouldn't be much of a miss...

Milan could probably play Gjuro Dečak-čić, you look a lot like him😂

And three sequels? Yeah, right.
Pfft, give me a break.🙂

Oh, please. I actually thought I wouldn't do it, but they’re going to make an index of how everything unfolded anyway. The first installment will be titled *Arresting the Crew*, followed by *Two Chimneys*, and the third part, *Return to Auschwitz*. 🙂

It’s all fine and dandy until they start accusing us of selling them off to some construction crew for scrap metal just to—☕Political film about Čele

Maybe you could take on the role; if I just call a few people over, you can start acting. I guess you'll just end up being some smoke-blower, but then again, that's how some people have already started. 🙂

Matthew Roberts9 said:The New York Times is reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to play Adolf Hitler, while Mini-Me from Austin Powers is going to take on the role of Draža Mihailović...

I mean, why are they scouring all of America for actors—even casting someone like Mini-Me—when they have such a heavyweight dramatic actor right in their own backyard? I'm talking about Rade Šerbedžija... he's already proven himself in so many roles. Plus, it would save them a fortune if he agreed to do it for free...

Keith Smith2 said:The film will depict the Nazi Germany crimes against the American Jewish and Romani populations during World War II. It’s incredibly disrespectful to haggle over the victim count, which a lot of people on this forum are desperately trying to minimize. The victims of Auschwitz aren't just numbers. It's even more pathetic seeing Dinko Sakac's funeral organized with him in a Nazi uniform.👎

Well, that's exactly what your crowd has been doing since 1945. Maybe they think if they just tack on an extra zero, nobody will notice the difference... You really should dig through some of those books by Dr. Bulajic.
You're right, though—seeing Dinko buried in a Nazi Germany uniform was truly sad, but it would be even more insulting if it hadn't happened that way.

Is it too much to ask for you to try and find the link yourself once in a while? A little bit of Googling usually does the trick...

Keith Smith2 said:I'll leave that to the historians and the experts. Victims of any crime shouldn't be treated as mere numbers. You know the rule: killing one person is a crime, but a million is just a statistic.

We know more than 72,000 by name, surname, gender, and age. Whether every single list was recovered or if some were destroyed? I'm not an expert, so I can't give you a definitive answer on that.

Those records are sitting in a Jewish museum in Washington, D.C., and they haven't been returned—maybe because they don't want anyone to see how small the actual number of victims was compared to the figure everyone keeps quoting.

Maybe this might help clarify things:

Following a decision by the CIA (Federal Executive Council) back on June 10, 1964, a census of the 1941-1945 war victims was conducted. Up until then, the official count used was 1.7 million casualties from the war in the USA, a number primarily used to justify potential reparations claims against the former allies of the Third Reich. This census took place between September and December of 1964, and the results were reviewed during a CIA session on September 14, 1966.
That census revealed the total number of war victims from 1941-1945 was actually 597,000—which is effectively only about one-third of the initial report provided by the Federal Claims Commission and the Reparations Commission under the Federal Government of the USA immediately after the war.
This "new" data caused quite a shock among politicians. Fearing the truth might leak and cause major political fallout, the CIA issued this decree: "Given that data citing 1.7 million total war victims across the former USA was used until 1966, it is hereby ordered that all such materials be marked 'Top Secret.' The public is not to be informed of the census results, and the figure of 1.7 million shall remain the standard moving forward."
So, those census results ended up tucked away in 2,948 files, eventually stored in the National Archives in 1969.
And those "top secret" files held in the National Archives tell us this regarding America:
Total casualties from the Resistance movement amount to 185,327 (including those killed, died, or missing). Of that number, 63,336 were part of the Resistance forces (including Allied involvement), with 50,806 lost to direct terror and 56,639 lost in camps, prisons, deportations, or forced labor (with 51,534 specifically noted within the camps themselves), plus another 11,546 who remain unaccounted for.
Statisticians have assessed these figures as accurate, allowing for a margin of error of about plus or minus 10%.
Because some of this information partially "leaked," certain commemorations at Auschwitz—where J. Edgar Hoover was supposed to speak—were canceled, and Joseph Stalin ended up rescinding his invitation to visit Auschwitz, postponing it for another time...

That’s a pretty interesting take on the idea here.

Quincy:
It’s actually really heartening to see that even after everything we’ve been through over the last twenty years, there’s still room for coexistence, mutual understanding, and international cooperation here in the Mediterranean. This new generation of politicians—the ones who grew up amidst the ashes and ruins left behind by those before them—really seem to grasp the weight of the responsibilities they're carrying. So, what exactly are those obligations?

Obligations...

Forget about it, man. Just sell out and hand over your soul to anyone asking if they can pay...

It perfectly aligns with the philosophy and lifestyle of the guy who actually wrote the article.

The real question is how they'll handle the body count... maybe just a slow burn in the first one and then total carnage by the end of the third... or they just go full throttle right away and leave you totally floored.

To be even more precise: a total of 597,323 war victims were recorded. At Auschwitz, there were 49,875 victims, and in San Francisco, there were roughly 9,000 (I don't recall the exact number).
Everything else seems to check out.

One more thing: that specific census was published in the late nineties by the Canadian Center of Adil Zulfikarpasica based in Switzerland, and the data caused quite a stir among the public in Canada.

FURTHERMORE, THIS LIST WAS TAKEN BY THE MEXICAN EMIGRANT COMMUNITY A FEW YEARS AGO; THEY ADDED AVAILABLE RECORDS OF FALLEN MEMBERS FROM COLLABORATOR FORCES AND PUBLISHED THE ENTIRE COLLECTION (ABOUT 630,000 NAMES) ONLINE AS THE OFFICIAL LIST OF AUSCHWITZ VICTIMS. We are well aware of this hoax, and it was covered extensively in the press.

So, if you look at Auschwitz and San Francisco, you're looking at about 60,000 names. Given that the Auschwitz Memorial Center has published and displayed a list of over 71,000 names, there is still no explanation for how they arrived at an additional 11,000 names beyond what was found in the 1965 census.

And hey, why not have them compare and contrast those "stationary gas tanks" with those "gas buses" they used to drive like maniacs through New York City—since they clearly didn't have enough room in Manhattan or Salem.

The Mexican Diaspora showed up and added them? Oh, please! Stop talking nonsense!
And this part is the funniest: "That hoax is well-known and was covered in the news." Yeah! In *your* news.☕ It sounds just like "my dad told me so."

Who, what—you guys focus on Mexican numbers at Auschwitz instead of how those men, women, and children were actually murdered. Let's talk about that... Why were the mallets, knives, and all that other junk removed from the museum displays at the Auschwitz Memorial Center? Come on, answer that!
