40W CNC Engraving Machine - Any recommendations?

Hey everyone, I'm new here. Just wanted to give a heads-up in case I've posted this in the wrong section. Basically, my PC isn't recognizing my engraving machine—it's one of those 40W Chinese CNC units. I went ahead and installed everything from the disc that came with it, but the computer keeps flagging it as an "unknown device." I tried hunting down drivers online, but so far, nothing's worked. If anyone out there is willing to lend a hand, I’d really appreciate it.

Wait, weren't the drivers included on that CD you mentioned? Also, which port are you plugging the machine into?

Did you have this thing working okay before? Just trying to figure out if the issue is actually your computer or if it's something with the machine itself.

Maybe try plugging it into a different computer—maybe one running Windows 7—just to see if it picks up? If the machine itself is the culprit, you might be wasting your time fighting with drivers.
