Maybe they're out of cash, or maybe it's just some server glitch. Honestly, you should probably just call their customer service line. The number should be right there on the machine.😉

So, I was wondering, do you actually have enough cash sitting in your account right now?

I suspect it might be more likely that JPMorgan Chase ends up running out of cash themselves, 🤣
given everything they've been dealing with lately. 😁

JPMorgan Chase is actually the only one in the USA with a capital adequacy ratio north of 20%—so we’re looking at zero issues there! 🙂 Just follow the advice from Ronald Allen and everything will turn out just fine.

The money is definitely there—it's not just me. And get this: their customer service keeps claiming everything is working perfectly.

I'm trying to figure out which ATM is actually the best deal if I want to grab some cash and there isn't a Chase ATM nearby.
thanks

I don't get it... what exactly do you mean by which one is the best or the cheapest?

I think I understood what he meant about finding the lowest withdrawal fees, specifically when you're using a Split card to grab some cash from an ATM at Chase or Citibank...
Some banks charge around $33 $3.25 in fees, while others tend to be quite a bit higher than that...

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. It's Sunday, after all... ☕
Does anyone actually know what the transaction fees look like right now? I'm trying to figure out where it makes the most sense to withdraw from. I'm looking to pull out some larger amounts, maybe around $667..
Thanks

If you check the fees on the bank's site, specifically section 6.8...
Using an Electron card at any other ATM, you're looking at a 2% minimum $8.25 (unless you're on those Balance or Prestige plans), and if you're using a deferred card, it's 3.5% minimum. $12

Look, those out-of-network fees depend entirely on your own bank. They're the ones setting the rules and charging you the extra bucks!

How much extra is going to get shaved off my account if I hit an ATM from, say, Chase or Citibank, when my actual checking account and card are through Bank of America?

I'd say about 10% of the total.

Whew, that’s quite a lot to take in. How certain are you about all this? I mean—is anyone else in the loop?

It’s just 2%, but those minimum fees are $6.75

It really just comes down to which bank you’re dealing with.
Check the fee schedule on your specific bank's website—the one where you actually hold your account—and you'll see exactly what they're charging.

It’s about 0.3% of the total transaction, though I guess they probably have some tiny minimum fee, maybe like $3.25.
$6.75 is basically just the standard minimum charge if you're doing something like a cash advance on a credit card.

The bottom line here is simple—just try to steer clear of other people's ATMs, no matter what kind of card you're carrying 🙂

Here’s a look at the Bank of America fee schedule:
Cash withdrawals

Using Bank of America ATMs

completely free of charge

At any other ATM within the US (unless it's a Bank of America machine)

it'll cost you 2%, with a minimum of $6.75 per transaction

For student account holders using PayPal networks at non-Bank of America ATMs within the US

$0.67 per transaction

If you happen to be using an ATM abroad

you're looking at 3%, with a minimum of $8.25 per transaction

And if you need to find a specific location, here is the list of ATMs...

I’m using a Chase Maestro card... what’s my daily cash withdrawal limit? Can I pull out everything in my account, or is there a cap on how much I can take out at once?
So far, I’ve withdrawn $1000 without any issues, but since I have a lot more in there now, I wanted to check the limits. I’m working this afternoon, so the branches will be closed by then—should I just head down to a local branch first thing in the morning instead?
