I took my insurance agent exam back in October and passed on the first try. I just stuck to the State Farm study guide—it covers everything, including plenty of practice questions that actually showed up on the real test.
The idea that H&R Block tells you "everything is online" is a total joke. It’s insulting that you pay them all that money and they don't provide any actual support—you're basically left to fend for yourself. I paid for the exam out of my own pocket, which cost about $400!
For the women who reached out, I’ve photocopied the materials and sent them out via mail. If you can't find another way to get them, shoot me a DM. Unfortunately, I don't have a digital version.

Has anyone taken the real estate licensing exam this December? I'd appreciate some insight on the new format and what study materials might be most effective.

I just passed my notary exam back in February—it was such a relief! If anyone is currently studying and needs a hand, feel free to reach out; I'm happy to email you the practice questions I used, as they were honestly a lifesaver for me.

Here is my experience:
I took the exam to become an insurance agent on February 25, 2011.
I studied using the State Farm manual. It’s excellent and includes plenty of practice questions.
I read through the material about five or six times and passed without any trouble at all.
The test consisted entirely of multiple-choice questions—you know, the A, B, C type. I followed the advice I saw posted here: mark the answer that looks right first, then wait until you've read the question a second time before actually circling it.

Hey,
I’m gearing up to take the licensing exam to become an insurance agent—a daunting task, to say the least. Does anyone happen to have some condensed study guides covering the material, or perhaps a bank of questions from previous exams? I’ve heard through the grapevine that the study materials from the State Farm Festival are actually quite solid, especially since certain question clusters tend to pop up repeatedly during the actual test. If there’s anyone out there who has already conquered this exam and wouldn't mind helping a guy out, I’d be incredibly grateful. I’m happy to have you email me the scripts and questions, or even send physical copies via mail—just let me know your price and we can work something out.

If anyone happens to have a copy of that script lying around, I’d be immensely grateful if you could reach out via private message; I suppose I should say thanks in advance

I am seriously begging for some help here... I’m heading into my real estate licensing exam in about four months and passing this thing is absolutely critical for me. Has anyone taken it recently? Does anyone have study materials they can share? Right now, I’ve just got this study guide from State Farm, but honestly, I have no clue if it covers enough ground. Any info regarding the exam—actual questions, tips, anything at all—would be a lifesaver. Please, people, I really need the help

The exam for agents is all multiple choice, but the brokers have it a bit tougher since they have to deal with open-ended questions and actually write out their answers—no oral exams, thankfully. A friend of mine who took it back in January mentioned her questions covered stuff like reinsurance, claims liquidation, some life insurance basics, the Social Security Administration, deductibles, subrogation, waiting periods, co-insurance, power of attorney, the core components of an insurance policy, co-insurance, underinsurance, and how companies split up.

I’m actually sitting for my exam at the end of the month myself. I’ve got this study guide from State Farm, so I’m really hoping it covers enough ground. Honestly, I’m feeling pretty unmotivated to hit the books, but hey, duty calls, right?

After receiving about 20 inquiries regarding the script, I’m letting you all know that I have finished scanning it. If anyone needs it, reach out.
