Walter Myers4 said:Yeah. Same here. Honestly, I'm way more wrapped up in my own thoughts than any social dynamics.๐Ÿ˜
The only "social dynamic" I care about is making sure I don't accidentally walk into someone while I'm staring at my phone.

As far as I'm concerned, social dynamics are fine as long as they happen to someone else (and leave me alone). ๐Ÿ˜

Exactly. People who obsess over "social dynamics" are usually just people who don't have enough going on in their own lives.
I honestly don't have the energy to waste even thinking about what's going on with everyone else's little social games.

Walter Myers4 said:Look, that's all fine and dandy if you actually GIVE A DAMN about all that nonsense. But what if you don't?
What if you couldn't care less about social dynamics? ๐Ÿ˜

If he truly didn't care, heโ€™d be perfectly content in his own headโ€”he wouldn't feel... well, I'm quoting him here: "like a complete idiot because a flood of information is rushing past me and I'm not catching any of it," or "sometimes I get this irritating feeling like I'm disconnected from the group."

And honestly, I suspect that stuff becomes a lot more interesting once you start studying it. Humans are pack animals; we're hardwired to obsess over other people and the messy web of relationships between us.

I mean, come on, you've clearly dropped at least 12 or 13 posts here already...

But hey, I'm sure everyone at a disco in Vegas would love to sit around and debate Hegel and Kant. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Yeah, I get it. He just isn't picking up on the "vibes" coming from the world around him.
But first thing's first: he needs to figure out which signals actually matter.
Because honestly, you can't process everythingโ€”there's no point in trying.
He's gotta learn how to filter out all that useless, repetitive noise. ๐Ÿ˜

Nah, man, itโ€™s way simpler than that. The guy just missed his shot with some girl, felt a little bummed out about it, and then we all jumped in here to perform a deep psychological autopsy on his entire existence as a social creature...๐Ÿ˜

Fair point. The issue might actually be intelligenceโ€”not social, just general IQ.

I don't know anyone whose intellect I actually respect who also wants to be part of the herd...

Because I care about MY OWN damn content! Iโ€™m here to fix MY own problems. I couldn't care less about some social dynamic, God forbid.

So you're telling me you're missing out on catching a glimpse of some hot kids?๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Oh, sure. Typical. Just when you think you've finally got a handle on things, someone drops an "aha" like they just solved cold fusion or discovered fire. Give me a break. Itโ€™s always the same thing with peopleโ€”acting like theyโ€™ve stumbled onto some massive epiphany when really, they're just being smug. Honestly, I don't have the patience for this kind of attitude today. My coffee is already cold, my morning commute was a nightmare, and now I have to deal with this? Unbelievable.
I honestly canโ€™t focus on two things at once. Itโ€™s impossible. Trying to deal with my own life while simultaneously tracking all the social dynamics around me? Forget it. My brain just hits a wall. One minute I'm trying to get my own act together, and the next, I'm getting sucked into everyone else's drama or trying to read the room, and suddenly I've completely lost my train of thought. It's exhausting.

edit:
The "herd mentality" is just primal instinctโ€”people crave that sense of safety and security. Only those with enough self-assurance can afford to stand alone and still feel okay about it.

But how are you even supposed to notice some cute guy checking you out if you're stuck inside your own head? Like, what are you even doing for yourself in that moment anyway?๐Ÿ˜•

Look, Iโ€™ve got social intelligence baked right into my DNA. It's just how I was built.
Look, when Iโ€™m actually ready to deal with some kids, then maybe I'll let them into my line of sight and just surrender myself to whatever social dynamics happen. Until then? Leave me out of it.
Meanwhile, Iโ€™ve got much bigger fires to put out.

Good grief, I totally overdid it.
I mean, obviously, itโ€™s a blast filming yourself just to see if anyone's watchingโ€”assuming you don't have anything actually productive to do with your life, anyway. ๐Ÿคฃ

Honestly, we could probably just split the entire population into two main camps (unless someone else has already done the math):
1. Introverts (they couldn't care less about social dynamics and wouldn't notice if they were being stared at by some attractive guy/girl) and
2. Extroverts (social dynamics are their whole world; they've basically mastered the art of catching someone else's eye)

brightotter7 said:Yeah, probably. I guess I just hate that it makes me look confused to everyone else. Usually, when I'm walking down the street, I don't really notice people passing by because I'm stuck in my own head. I get lost in my thoughts pretty easily just to tune out whatever is happening around me at the moment. ๐Ÿ™‚ Sometimes that feeling of being totally disconnected from everyone else just gets on my nerves. ๐Ÿ™‚

๐Ÿ˜ The Quincy? ๐Ÿ™‚ Hmm, you remind me of someone. Question one: Do you always walk around totally detached from reality like that? Question two: Are you actually happy with your own thoughts? Because if you are, then who cares about the collective? ๐Ÿ˜‰ You feel me?
